  1. I think it will be a 1-1 draw, they seem to be in good form as do we at the moment. I don't think either sides will risk that.
  2. Interesting to see how the Crawley fan spoke about Rob Milsom, he's been pretty average since returning but people seem to rate him for some reason?
  3. I don't find what Kewell says to be interesting half of the time, he speaks things that are the same but just said differently.
  4. Crewe look very poor, the only good thing I can see is that they are capable of scoring. It's going to be interesting to see who comes out on top, if any.
  5. I feel Harry Kewell is right, a win doesn't seem that far away but they need to keep the focus set on the goals rather than the performance. Ross Fitzsimons did very well, I praise him and hope that he continues. I feel the defence protected him very well, Jamie Turley looks to be a great centre back for this league. He takes no nonsense and does all the right things. I'm just delighted to see the progress, so its a good point.
  6. I can't predict the score but if there's no improvement on the amount of goals generally conceded I will be disappointed. Notts just have to get on with the game and turn any bad situations into a positive one.
  7. We need a good performance from Notts on Saturday, as it will be the away games that will start to cost the club the most when it comes to the crunch time of the season. We can't just give the leads away as we have been doing. Improvements can be met from other areas and blamed solely on the defence.
  8. This gives the fans a far better insight into the reserve and academy players, I would be disappointed if the club doesn't keep this up because it's fantastic to see.

Can we ban politics on PON? I think for the sake of the site it would be best. Just look how it goes on other sites.
  10. I do feel things could improve and winning ways return, but there is still work to be done. If we can narrow down the chances the opposition get, things may improve all round but the best way would be to control the game. I felt at times Notts did this well but certain players rushed the play and it ended abruptly. Jon Stead started numerous promising attacks, only for Lewis Alessandra or Noor Husin to kill off the move. Promising signs I feel.
  11. Saturday should be the perfect chance for Notts to get to grips with what's going wrong. Stevenage are just a very hardworking team, there is little special about them and the difference will be whoever holds onto the ball the best. I would hope Harry Kewell's first managerial home game would spark something from the players. I want to see them play as if they want him to continue picking them. I say 2-2 the score, Stead and Hemmings.
  12. No fight from the players, they switch off and appear to give up. Rather than trying to get back into it.
  13. The only thing I can say is that it should show what progress if any Harry Kewell is having on the squad. It will take time, if Notts plays well in all the areas a win is more than possible but this may take a few games before it happens.
  14. Use the game to test other players who could fit into the formation required fix the defensive issues in the league. Winning games at the moment is a must for Notts. The confidence will be very low and this is a tricky thing to resolve too.
  15. How Notts picked up the ball at times in the first half was good to see, the organisation even then was way off but I felt the communication in the defence was mostly better. The goals came from Notts aimlessly pushing forward without any clear mindset of what to do when they had the ball. The goals were typical of what Notts have conceded this season. Forest Green made scoring look easy but I have no confidence now in Fitzsimons or Hewitt, Jones also looked pretty useless at the back.
  16. I would hate for Hardy to repeat all of Trew's mistakes as chairman, this right now does not look to be moving the club forward. It's bizarre and disappointing. Who exactly is managing the club Hardy or the manager?
  17. Eyes will be on the players Saturday has @DonnyNotts has said. Steve Chettle won't have changed much and I would be more surprised he if he starts with a different team/formation than Kevin Nolan. I hope Notts can get their first league win because I am certain we can all be vocal enough about what may happen if the board do decide to consider Chettle. The season starts soon hopefully.
  18. Lincoln will be thinking its the perfect time to go into this game, so let's hope whatever training and whatever has been said to the players pays off. Otherwise the confidence could be extremely low, leading to a worst result. I would just be happy if Notts can get to the end of the first half without conceding a goal.
  19. The same players he has lifted previous seasons are now the same people who are letting him down, the defence is a big issue but I do not understand why Kevin Nolan is blaming the strikers for missing chances. We are lucky they are even scoring with the way Notts are playing right now.
  20. Get the ball down and allow the midfield to do their jobs, be smarter in possession and tighter to the opposition when our of it. Any early goal for Notts would be vital. It would be a big boost in grabbing the first league win and dealing with the oppositions attack properly would make things a lot easier. Notts have had a poor start but against Newport County it could start to improve. 2-0 Notts win, Hemmings and Vaughan to score.
  21. The youngsters sounded like they played very well. Tom Crawford has made a mark which will hopefully get him noticed, maybe he should start alongside David Vaughan? Promising display for the league considering it wasn't the strongest squad Notts could field and yet they played efficiently. I would agree that the goals conceded needs reducing, Championship opposition or not you would have to be deluded to think he does nothing but have a negative effect on a players confidence. Notts will only improve when they stop leaking goals. Positive night on the field for me too.
  22. Hemmings and Dennis will hopefully start since Stead is playing tonight. Stead can't play both games and give 100%, the weekend is looking brighter already.
  23. I am sure Notts will play better, Nolan usually gets a response from the players. The defence does need to learn faster, the cup is a good chance to win back some money for the coffers.
  24. I am going to go for a 2-0 Notts win. Hemmings to get a brace.
  25. It would benefit Notts if they allowed Vaughan to unlock teams with his passing, some have been quick to be negative but if Notts are to play passing football he's the key. Hewitt is the work horse not the creative outlet, both wingers need to be on the ball against Cambridge. I expect to see better from the pair, neither impressed me all that much against Colchester. Dennis and Hemmings have to start.
