  1. I am hoping we can get a much needed win at Meadow Lane but I am nervous about the game. If things dont go to plan, the crowd could get onto the players backs which wont help. They need to respond!
  2. The first half was quite poor for Notts. We didn't seem able to use the ball all that well and we played in a similar fashion to previous games which allowed Carlisle to play us off the park. I think they should have been at least 3-0 by that point and I would say we are lucky with the draw. That is why I would take the point but its hard not to feel disappointed. Same old Notts I am afraid!
  3. What does this have anything to do with it? He's clearly having a dig at someone but I feel he is completely wrong. I read a lot of comments on social media about this, have any read the article?
  4. Notts need to get a win but its going to be difficult no doubt. Why is the hardest months the easiest? No score prediction from me because I think we will lose.
  5. Exeter face Luton Town later so that will be an interesting game to watch out for the score. Even Accrington have the chance of going top depending how the other results pan out, I think this will give less pressure for Notts which should mean for a more controlled game. We have been playing quite well away from home, so we should be fine. 3-0 Notts.
  6. Likewise I am more than prepared to give him a chance. It just seems like the club cannot keep clear of circus headlines and I hate to say it, I think he will only create further negative stories. I am unimpressed myself lad.
  7. Very good show! I enjoyed it.
  8. Great work lad! This gallery and Meet the Fans is a brilliant job. Well done.
  9. It was a frustrating game against Forest Green. I was impressed by how good they looked on the ball, very calm and collected within their passing. If anything I am annoyed that Notts looked like the side struggling for form and after the Mansfield game I expected better. I am sure Kevin Nolan will correct the performances but even the basics we failed with yesterday. 1-1 against them is not worth celebrating at all.
  10. What happened to not complaining? Don't get me wrong I agree but this is unlike the Kevin Nolan we have seen whereby he keeps his views focused on the next game.
  11. Nobody looks forward to visiting Field Mill, its one of the most depressing stadiums out there! @DangerousSausage The timing for us couldn't be any better, but I do think that we will have the pressure. Mansfield may allow us to attack opting to sit back and knowing what that fat donut chaser Steve Evans will be happy to just try to play the game against us. We need to be cautions that they don't score against the run of play... This years team will want a good result, so I hope for a decent performance.
  12. The last few games he has improved greatly but I think there is more to come from Jon Stead. The difference between Kevin Nolan's expectations and the fans is that we always want more, whereas Kevin has to manage the players. That said I agree that Jon will get the credit he deserves at the times he performs to the fans level of expectation (which he has been doing recently).
  13. This for me! Kevin Nolan doesn't get carried a way and I think it helps him get the best out of the players. Good read Chris.
  14. Surprise start to the game to go 1-0 up minutes into the first half. I thought the team defended bravely after a shaky period, the players re-group at half time. I don't know what Kevin Nolan said but whatever it was they came back out more determined. Richard Duffy was class tonight! Yet Ryan Yates stole the show for me. He worked very hard and his engine never stopped.
  15. Well Exeter lost 2-0 to Coventry on Saturday and the game between us has been building up nicely. A 1-1 draw seems to be on the cards for me.
  16. This is some read @Chris. I don't know what to write in the comments but I wanted to leave a supportive message. Focus on what makes you happy lad.
  17. As written by Chris the first half was a write off, neither said played well but the referee didn't help. Second half very entertaining, Lincoln City deserve praise for pulling level but its good to see Notts showing determination to get the lead back. Once we had it, it was never going to change. First time for a number of seasons where the majority of players seemed eager to score, anyone could have done today.
  18. Watch out @Chris, Kevin Nolan and co are reading your thoughts!
  19. I don't think we will see fireworks but a steady performance would be nice. Lincoln are not the best team in this division, far from it and so Notts just need to approach it in the right way. I think we will win 2-0 but it won't be easy!
  20. Gary Lund holding two hands in the air trying to run away in excitement only to be mobbed by his team mates! What a classic moment in the history of Notts County.
  21. You are right @Chris the club is pulling together in the right direction and it would be good news to see Kevin Nolan extend his stay. I know its been said its verbally agreed but once the contracts been signed I will feel better.
  22. Well Swindon beat Luton coming off a two game defeat and a draw, so they don't seem consistent just yet. Much will go down to who plays better on the day.
