  1. Am I being blind? Where is Big Sam or Howard Wilkinson? Surely they had decent win ratios.
  2. Hello, @Morten Johansen. Welcome to PON. Do you happen to be part of the Notts Scandinavian Supporters?
  3. Rest in Peace Colin Murphy. I extend my sincerest condolences to his family and friends, and I hope that they find solace in this difficult time.
  4. He's earned the right to take a breather after so many years in the game. If anything were to coax him back into management, it would be nothing less than his profound love for the sport. His dedication and passion for the game are undeniable, and whether he chooses to return or to continue his well-deserved rest, his love for football remains steadfast.
  5. It's difficult to contain the excitement, however, I'm making a conscious effort not to get ahead of myself. Eight games in, and we are performing exceptionally well. It's a stark contrast to the situation after the first game, where some were calling for Luke Williams to be sacked. There were even predictions of relegation, though not from people here. Nevertheless, I'm aware that just as quickly as we've found our winning streak, breaking out of any lapses in form could present a challenge. It all comes down to how we approach each game, taking one match at a time. Looking ahead, hopefully by the time Christmas rolls around, we'll have reason to celebrate. Whether we are sitting at the top of the league or at least within the top three, it will be a testament to our hard work and perseverance.

Hello there, @Benji! It's a pleasure to welcome you to the PON community. This is a fantastic site, and it doesn't matter whether you've been a fan for a short while or for ages, you'll always be greeted with open arms. Enjoy exploring and being part of our warm and friendly community.
  7. The performance was excellent, and the 2-0 victory seemed quite ordinary, while the clean sheet was well deserved. Salford's performance was very lackluster, although they did manage to create a few challenging opportunities.
  8. I believe he can assist with the current shortcomings, but I am skeptical of his usefulness beyond this season. In order to establish themselves in League Two and achieve consistent results, I think it's a reasonable signing for them.
  9. He is highly overrated; his scoring form has only been notable with Carlisle and Harrogate. Wrexham is pursuing players who won't provide long-term strength to the team. In League Two, he is merely average, so why would he perform better with a team aspiring for Championship football? He is the kind of player we would have desired prior to the arrival of the Reedtz.
  10. I can't recall all the details, but it involved a transition from solid white shirts to black and white stripes. There's additional information, but I'm uncertain about the specifics. The name "Notts as the Lambs" doesn't quite sound right.
  11. The weather was uncomfortably warm, even when standing in the shade. Despite this, the stadium and game were enjoyable. I can see why both teams did not put their all into the match, as the heat was too much to handle. However, the second half of the game was undoubtedly more entertaining. I was particularly impressed by the captain, Kyle Cameron, whose spectacular goal was a highlight of the match. It was a great moment of skill that drew cheers from the crowd. Overall, despite the oppressive heat, it was a memorable match that showcased some impressive football.
  12. It's more like a skit rather than an in-depth interview, so there isn't much substance to it. Of course, it's enjoyable, and we acknowledge that Macca likely made the right choice in pursuing this sport. However, that's essentially all there is to it.
  13. Moving to Wolves could be a beneficial opportunity for him to grow as a player and build relationships that might be useful for him in the future if he wants to pursue a career in management. I sometimes think about whether he feels any regret about leaving Notts. Personally, I'm glad he did because I believe if he had stayed, our team would still be in League Two now.
  14. It's my belief that fans often live in the present and don't consider events beyond what has recently occurred. While it's uncertain whether some fans are too critical, it is a possibility. Generally speaking, I find that fans frequently undermine the joyous moments by continuously fixating on the negatives, like a broken record. I personally find these types of fans to be dull and excessively serious. Football is a game filled with passion, but we must remember that the players on the field are human beings who shouldn't be subjected to the incessant complaints of such individuals.
  15. In my opinion, the decision doesn't seem to be the right one. While Oxford United might be performing admirably at the moment, they fall into the category of typical League One teams known for their lack of consistency. I genuinely hope Rodrigues succeeds in his new venture, but it's worth noting that even the fans of his new club struggle with correctly spelling his name.
  16. It's astounding how quickly the season has progressed, considering it didn't start too long ago—barely a month has passed! This speedy passage of time highlights the significance of navigating League Two successfully, particularly when encountering a few matches where the team's performance is not at its peak. Nevertheless, I feel a sense of pride in our players. While it's fantastic to be at the top, we mustn't become complacent or overly celebratory. It is crucial to continue putting in the hard work and strive for constant improvement.
  17. It's wonderful to witness such moments! Instead of watching the news in general, I prefer to focus on uplifting experiences like this. The news tends to be distressing, and it contributes to people's struggles. By contrast, the presence of a fan in the background adds a positive atmosphere to the situation.
  18. It’s going to be a good game, but knowing how things are when you look forward to something, it won’t be. Notts just has to work the ball well, chances will come. I’m not worried that chances will be few and far between, but I fully expect Accrington to attempt to make it hard. We need Jodi Jones to be at his best!
  19. The team's progress and dedication are evident. Luke's interview gives a promising outlook for future matches. Keep up the good work, Notts!
  20. I find it enjoyable when teams try to give it their best shot. Last season, some teams made it harder for themselves, which is why I prefer League Two. We need to be aware of players like Connor Jennings and Kristian Dennis, who are likely to cause problems. Their wider players are also a concern.
  21. Langstaff lit up the game - two goals, pure brilliance! Jones, you beauty! Well played.
  22. Chicksen put the ball away very tidy, deemed offside. It looked fine to me, I need to see the highlights. 3-0, but should be 4 for us I think.
  23. David McGoldrick is a real force on the field. His ability and technique, combined with his experience and reading of the game, make him a formidable player. Even his goal against Shrewsbury was pure class. It’s a classy strike that showcases his talent. He’s sure to entertain us with his skills.
  24. When I first read about it, I was convinced that Cal Roberts’ career was over. However, he has shown great persistence. I am relieved that he hasn’t suffered a fracture and I hope he will be able to play more games in the future.
  25. Hello, @George L. It's good to be welcoming you and I hope you like the site.
