  1. I use Google and search for updates. Due to sleeping during the day, I can only check once I wake up via my phone. Australia requires 174 runs to win. I think they will take this one.
  2. I’m considering spending a fortnight in Egypt. I haven’t been before, but I know others who have and it sounds nice. Previously, I have been to the Caribbean, South Asia and most of Europe. I don’t have any dates booked yet, but I do have annual leave. Does anyone have suggestions based on Egypt? I’m not bothered about the pyramids. A tourist location that’s a bit more relaxed would be nice, with food and bar options (not alcoholic obviously).
  3. I am not an exile. I manage to attend games, but I do wonder what overseas fans think of such a site existing. It’s quite informative and I use my phone to post, so that’s a benefit that everything is so friendly to my device. If there are any fans who can’t attend, I would welcome reading your feedback on this.
  4. He tried and worked hard, I respect that. He didn’t look like a natural finisher, I admit that but I can’t fault his effort. I hope he does well against Rochdale, just not against Notts.
  5. Hello, @rhodship66. Welcome to the PON community.
  6. No, I missed it. It’s difficult to catch England games with work and preparing to get there. In the past, I was able to watch via a small TV in my previous job but the facilities in this place are rather basic.
  7. What does he stand to gain by joining Tottenham Hotspur? He doesn't seem to know much about football in England or Spurs. While I understand his ambitions, he has been outstanding at Brentford and if playing in European football is his goal, a move to Italy or back to Spain would offer a greater chance of league success. Tottenham seems like an odd choice for someone who wants to win things. Perhaps he wants to help them win the London Cup by triumphing in every home game against their closest rivals. ????
  8. It's refreshing to read something where the former manager comprehends and harbours no ill will towards the departure of the player. This speaks volumes about David McGoldrick and his relationship with the Derby County staff being mutual.
  9. Age backwards: 14 Steak - Sea food should stay sea food. Italian Pepsi Vanilla 2 tattoos both on my right upper arm. Ever hit a deer: No Last text from: My wife. Favourite season: Spring. Broken bones: No Beach Dogs Really early due to working from 11pm. None Favourite colour: Blue Have you ever flown on a plane: Yes, only as a co-pilot though. Beer Neither, I'm not a fan of Salsa Pancakes I don't like peanut butter Pineapple on pizza: No
  10. It's great news that Kyle Cameron has agreed to stay on. Two years is about right for both him and Notts. It's reasonable to say that he may be in for a shout as being one of the five standout players come the end of the season.
  11. Good luck to him. Over the years, many former Notts players have played for Boston.
  12. As long as there’s fuel in the tank, you have the desire and ability to play. Why retire? Age is just a number and he will once again demonstrate why he has been one of our best players in the past 5 or so years. He may be at his peak, but he has matured well with age.
  13. I have followed some more members and will need to check out the forums because I use the dashboard page. Articles are useful and I will look into those too.
  14. We have all done something foolish and I can’t be mean-spirited just for the sake of it. Idiocy has always been man’s weakness, second only to supporting an average football club.
  15. If he has learned that money doesn’t make him happy, what are the chances of him hiring me as his personal security guard? I’ll keep those autograph hunters at bay. He really does come across as a typically nice bloke though, and you have to respect that.
  16. Whoever comes in will be held to a high standard, but I hope whoever it is continues Jason Turner’s good work. The club needs an active CEO. Some might wish for the position to be retired in honour, but I think the best way is to hire someone who can complete what Jace started.
  17. Only two to go then. I hope both Aaron Nemane and Kyle Cameron agree to new deals. Both would be vital parts of the squad going into League Two. However, I have a feeling Nemane will leave, but Cameron should stay.
  18. I am a Clash fan; that is my favourite band to listen to. I grew up listening to them; all of my friends liked them and for the time they were the coolest act to follow. I do like Queen also. I think Freddie Mercury had one of the best voices in music, closely followed by Morrissey.
  19. Jodi Jones is a pure footballer; you can see that he works on everything and that’s why I think he looks smooth doing everything. He works hard at it and he has deserved these international games.
  20. I feel for the victims, families and everyone who had to witness this sad and tragic day. I had a call about this and I am speechless; such a horrible thing to do. I haven’t heard yet as to why the person did it; I have heard it’s being treated as terrorism but little else. As of tomorrow, I will be taking on day shifts as a direct result of this. I pray that nothing like this happens again in Nottingham.
  21. I sleep during the day, but my wife woke me up to tell me the news about Ruben. She didn’t, however, wake me up to inform me Jim had signed a one-year deal. I arrived at work without checking any social media or news, to log on here and see it. I think O’Brien has been class for Notts; such a humble and decent guy. It’s good when you have players like him who can come in and do a job but also impact games.
  22. Colby Bishop recently got married; a friend of mine has known his family for years and actually attended. It’s nice to see him doing well for Portsmouth. I know Jordan is Pedro’s lad; other than that, I don’t know much about him or the other player.
  23. Macaulay Langstaff looks great in a suit; it really does look good on him. His smile is that of delight and “what am I doing here?” I bet he had to pinch himself, but at least he didn’t have to head out before midnight like Cinderella did!
  24. Ruben Rodrigues will become one of those players you tell your children or grandchildren about, retelling stories of when he scored or mugged somebody off with his flashy skill. I think we always knew he was going to leave us at the end of this season; there was talk way before the Boreham Wood game.
  25. Naturally, he’s one of the players you want to see remain at the club for the longest time possible. Considering where we are now compared to when he arrived, I think those 3 years have been kind to us. We could have lost him the last time his contract was up, but he committed. Now’s the time to cut him loose and hope he does the right thing.
