  1. I am just glad that he has not dropped to League Two. I could imagine that is where he could have ended up. Good luck to Fleetwood with staying up in League One. I quite like a day trip to Blackpool when playing them.
  2. Rest in Peace, Ian Hamilton. He was a good player and a firm part of what made West Brom good in the 90s.
  3. @super_ram It has already become a managerial merry-go-round. I would understand if we were a few more months into the season because by this stage plenty of managers would be in the same boat, but really, are there better options out there at this point?
  4. It’s exhilarating to see Notts leading the pack. Big cheers for our warrior Langstaff!
  5. It’s good to see Notts at the top of the table. It reinforces the belief in back-to-back promotion, but while I am happy, I am still cautious. It will take a lot of hard work to maintain this position and continue to perform at a high level. The team will need to stay focused and determined in order to achieve their goals.
  6. No doubt, he supports Arsenal. I don’t see a person banging their head on the table; that would have been a United fan. It’s always interesting to see how fans of different teams react to their team’s performance.
  7. I wouldn’t say that Notts are a slow side either. When they get a grip of the game, they can demonstrate a lot of speed and determination. It would be interesting for someone with time to investigate further how the person who came up with this managed to achieve these results. I bet it’s misinformed! Notts are a very enjoyable team to watch when they are performing well, showcasing their skills and teamwork on the field.

  12. Brennan Johnson should do well with Spurs. I think if the club is prepared to pay the fee, they must see something special. They do have a history of signing the better prospects from Forest. I do think the fee is way too high, but clubs will always pay over the odds to get their targets.
  13. Notts played much better than Accrington. I think it’s fair to say we could appeal that David McGoldrick was fouled. In which case, we were denied a penalty which was quite obvious to me. The player who got the ball wasn’t the same player who fouled McGoldrick, and they sort of slowed down as if they couldn’t believe it wasn’t given. The referee was poor for both teams but was better for Accrington. He never offered us the same level of protection from horrible tackles nor did he allow us to play the quick free kick. Whereas he had words with our players over fair challenges and allowed them to play quickly, even when it was an unfair advantage. Fans would be complaining more about these incidents had we lost, but we are focusing on the right things. Three massive points against a very overhyped Accrington who looked decent but lacked quality to be anything more.
  14. Jim Rodwell was notorious for telling lies and getting caught during his time at Meadow Lane, but Notts seemed better run than when he was replaced by the mini-Hitler. In my opinion, that should never have happened and was more about saving money, all those wrong decisions to back youth, inexperienced managers, etc. I was pleased when Jim left but regretted it afterward. Thankfully, we now have people who don’t want to engage in point-scoring, sparring with fans over nonsense or being anti-social online. As for Charlton, they won’t get our Luke. King Williams will remain at Meadow Lane for the foreseeable future.
  15. Another superb game! It’s good to see the fans celebrating and getting behind the team. Great job, @Chris, with the photos.

  17. Today’s result was fantastic, with the game being thoroughly enjoyable from beginning to end. There were moments of back-and-forth play, which was a delight to witness. The significance of the three points gained today is beyond words. They have not only boosted Notts’ standing but also underscored the tremendous effort being put into the club, especially considering the initial challenges.
  18. Morecambe is in desperate need of a lifeline. Their owner has the financial means and should settle his debts. If he’s lost interest in his plaything, he should allow Tyson Fury to purchase them without trying to overcharge him. I’d be thrilled to see a charity match where Fury, blindfolded, goes up against Sarbjot Johal. I believe Fury would detect Johal by his perspiration and secure a clean victory with a single punch.
  19. Mike Dean leaves much to be desired. His reputation as a referee is inflated, and his decision to ignore the rules will likely come back to bite him.
  20. I was under the impression that Jodi Jones would find the back of the net again today. Their goalkeeper, however, made an impressive save to deny him. Regrettably, we didn’t manage to convert the opportunity, but it did result in quite a scramble.
  21. The badge has been elegantly redesigned, and it certainly has a more Notts feel to it now!
  22. Impressive defensive stance by Notts County, even with 10 men. Perseverance won us those precious three points!
  23. Coventry City 1-2 Sunderland Millwall 0-2 Stoke City Exeter City 0-0 Reading Lincoln City 2-1 Blackpool Bradford City 2-0 Crewe Alexandra Joker Walsall 1-2 Grimsby Town Boreham Wood 1-0 Oldham Athletic Ebbsfleet United 1-1 Kidderminster Harriers
  24. On an unrelated note, a fan of football might be intrigued to learn that “Tom” Hateley, the grandson of a certain individual, played for Tranmere Rovers. I’m not aware of any other Notts players who haven’t already been mentioned.
  25. Brindley's adaptability is truly commendable. He's showing great prowess in his new role, a trait that's vital if we're to excel in League Two.
