Notts County announce full pre-season fixtures ahead of League Two campaign
Shrewsbury away will be a nice game to attend; it’s been a while since Notts has faced them. I think all of the pre-season fixtures look decent enough.

How Notts County can attract more young fans and grow their fan base?
I think affordable tickets for youngsters is something the club should look into, as well as family tickets if you buy in bulk and things like that. The club might see more fans take up this and bring in extra bodies. People spend money on match days, so the more bodies, the more wallets/purses.

Ex Notts loanee Enda Stevens released by Sheffield Utd
I would welcome Enda Stevens back even though he’s now 32 but I doubt he would come all the way down to League Two. I am sure some Championship and upper League One teams will be seeking his signature.

RIP Iron Sheik
Rest in Peace, Iron Sheik. Very sad news.

Who are the defenders Notts County could sign to improve their defence in League Two?
It’s interesting to read about the players. I’m afraid I don’t recall seeing any of their names, but the article is well written. It raises some valid points, such as the need to address potential defensive signings rather than meddling with tactics that worked well in the National League

ireland u21 call up for tiernan brooks
Well deserved call-up for Tiernan Brooks, it's great to see him representing Ireland U21!

David McGoldrick
I don’t want McGoldrick back at Notts. He is not the same player he was when he left us and he would not fit in our system or our philosophy. He is too old, too slow and too expensive for us. We should look for younger and cheaper players who can grow with us and help us improve. McGoldrick should retire at a higher level, not come back to Notts and drag us down.

New friendly announced
A friendly is indeed a friendly, and as long as we're selecting the teams that allow us to prepare most effectively for the upcoming season, I'm quite chuffed with the overall situation. The preseason schedule seems reasonable to me, although I must admit it would have been smashing if the club announced the majority of the away matches together, with the home fixtures following suit. Nonetheless, excited for what's in store! Cheers!

Enzio Boldewijn to Newport?
It's quite a curious conundrum when it comes to Enzio. Undoubtedly, the lad possesses immense talent and is truly capable of playing at a higher level where his fellow teammates are able to cover for his shortcomings. However, when he finds himself in the lower echelons of the footballing pyramid, Enzio's limitations are cruelly exposed. Defensively, he leaves his team wanting as any squad can ill-afford to have a player who doesn't pull their weight on the back foot. Moreover, his penchant for drifting out of games or appearing disinterested is deeply worrisome. Of course, he's a good guy off the pitch, but as a footballer, one can't help but feel that his undeniable qualities are tragically overshadowed by a multitude of negatives.

New signing Will Randall
It's apparent that the coaching staff, led by Luke Williams, has most likely done their due diligence in assessing the teams within League Two. By meticulously examining players who are nearing the end of their contracts, the club is evidently laying the groundwork for a carefully calculated recruitment strategy. The possibility of employing a versatile formation, one that shifts dynamically during a match just like many elite teams are doing, could be a remarkable tactical approach for the forthcoming season. Will Randall's potential dual-role on the field further strengthens the impression that this signing is increasingly promising. As additional information surfaces, the anticipation and excitement about the club's prospects continue to grow.

Philip Schofield
It's intriguing how individuals who often come across as amiable and well-mannered tend to have their less-than-admirable traits revealed when situations begin to unravel. In this particular instance, we can see that very pattern taking shape. A gentleman recently found himself in the public eye as he courageously disclosed his sexuality on national television, subsequently separating from his public relationship. However, it would seem that whenever there's even the slightest chance of further uproar concerning him, his screen presence is curtailed, leaving one to surmise that ITV may be involved in safeguarding his image. Of course, it's imperative not to pass judgement on someone until they have had a fair hearing, yet there appears to be more to Phillip Schofield's narrative than he's divulged thus far. His conduct seems more aligned with panic, which inevitably casts doubt on his true intentions. The situation certainly raises questions and warrants a closer examination of the matter.

An open letter to Accrington Stanley 2018
The open letter written by a father to Andy Holt is wonderful. Even after all these years, it still holds a special place in my heart. The letter perfectly sums up why supporting lower league football is more worthwhile than supporting teams in the top two tiers.

Beyond the Victory: Analysing the Post-Promotion Performance of National League Playoff Winners
It’s fascinating to see the different paths teams took after their playoff victories. Some teams continued to excel while others faced challenges, but all of them showed great resilience and perseverance.

Where are they now : Shaun Brisley
His downfall was being partnered with Richard Duffy, which hindered his form and made the whole season a write-off. I think if someone had been brave enough to show Duffy the door, Brisley could have partnered with someone like Jamie Turley for better success on the pitch. Ross Fitzsimons didn’t help anyone either with his no hands.

Pre season friendly v F*rest
Playing Nottingham Forest at Meadow Lane in a pre-season friendly is a fantastic opportunity for Notts County. Firstly, it provides an opportunity for the team to test themselves against a higher-level opponent, which is always beneficial in terms of player development and preparation for the upcoming season. Friendly matches like this can provide crucial insights into areas where the team needs to improve, allowing the coaching staff to make necessary adjustments before the season starts. Secondly, having a local derby like this can increase fan engagement and excitement, which can only be good for the club. It's an opportunity for Notts County to show their fans what they're capable of against one of the most well-known and respected teams in the area. From a marketing perspective, this type of match can also generate buzz and interest in the club, potentially attracting new supporters and driving ticket sales. Finally, there's the added benefit of morale-boosting. Winning a game against Nottingham Forest, even in a friendly, can provide the team with a much-needed confidence boost and a sense of momentum going into the new season. Overall, playing Nottingham Forest at Meadow Lane is an excellent opportunity for Notts County to showcase themselves against quality opposition while generating excitement and improving team development ahead of the upcoming season.

Rawlinson signs new contract
Connelly Rawlinson's experience and willingness to put the team first make him an invaluable asset to Notts County. As a central defender, he has shown time and again that he is capable of providing leadership on and off the pitch, making crucial tackles and organising his teammates to ensure that the opposition is kept at bay. Rawlinson's experience also means that he is ideally placed to provide guidance and mentorship to younger members of the squad, particularly those in the same position of central defender. By sharing his knowledge and expertise, he can help to shape the careers of promising young players and ultimately create a stronger and more competitive team. If Kyle Cameron, another young CB, extends his stay at the club, there is no doubt that Rawlinson's guidance would be invaluable in helping him to progress and develop as a player. It's encouraging to see players like Rawlinson who truly embody the spirit of teamwork, and who are willing to work hard to ensure that their team reaches its full potential.

Where have they gone? Missing PON members we need back!
I believe the most important thing is to ensure there’s always something happening. I keep up to date by reading articles and synchronising all the RSS feeds on a phone app, so I know when new content is posted. There may be times when I post less frequently, but I’ll always come back.

Jimmy Knowles released by Mansfield, joins Boston Utd
Jimmy Knowles may now have the opportunity to further his career. I thought he performed well with Notts and if he can do well for Boston, there’s no doubt he’ll be able to step back up.

Recruitment doc
There’s room for a striker who can provide cover, perhaps someone like Ruben Rodrigues but preferably more capable of playing as a striker convincingly. Imagine if we were hit with an injury or two - would we really want to cope by playing people out of position up top? Notts definitely needs a quicker centre back, and if they can play on the left, all the better. The club also needs at least one more central midfielder - someone different from Matt Palmer, Jim O’Brien and John Bostock would be useful. A young midfielder with good vision who can contribute to both defence and attack would be ideal - someone who is quick and able to distribute passes effectively.
