    Notts were determined to fight for every ball. We had a bit of good fortune here and there, e.g. Bart's flap at a cross being headed off the line by Freeman, but it's along time since I have seen County withstand so much physical aggression, some legal - some not, so well. JCR was great again, even on a bog of a pitch. Good view from the away end, it was terracing when I was last there. I liked the touch of putting Notts pictures on the walls at our end. Friendly stewards, typical non-league in that way, but thugs on the pitch, wound up by a thuggish manager.
