  1. It’s always nice to see a young player get called up. I think his future looks promising and if Notts can get him into the first team, all the better.
  2. I’m indifferent about this rumour. I don’t mind if McGoldrick comes back or not, as long as he performs well and helps us win games. He is a decent player with some experience and quality, but he is not a game-changer or a superstar. He would be just another option in our squad, nothing more nothing less. I trust the manager to make the right decision for the club.
  3. I can relate to Fan of Big Tone’s cautious optimism for the future of Notts County. As a long-time fan myself, I’ve also experienced many false dawns and disappointments. But with the Reedtz brothers at the helm and a strong management team in place, I’m hopeful that this time things will be different. Let’s hope for the best!
  4. He wasn’t very good, but at Notts, he was just a young player. The problem was that he wasn’t going to succeed in the squad we had at the time. It’s not that being in a better team would have changed his career; it is what it is.
  5. I don’t know much about him; I can’t say I remember him from when we played against Sutton, but I have faith in our recruitment process. I don’t think Luke Williams would bring in a player who could be a gamble, so he seems to fit our recruitment policy.
  6. Ollie King did fine and I doubt he’s on a large salary. A few dismissals above him could allow for more actual writers who could do a better job than just making cuts and bossing people around.
  7. I agree that more needs to be done in the UK and in football in general. Clubs can take their fans for granted and expect them to do a lot for them, but give little in return. I believe clubs should embrace their fans and treat everyone the same, with no exceptions. This would probably help people who are struggling.
  8. Welcome to PON, @Ohh Tommy Johnson. Just when you think all the welcomes have stopped, you see a flurry of them again.
  9. I am guilty of losing track of time. I have always enjoyed posting and reading on PON. I go on holiday or get busy and forget to come back. Then months pass by. I have seen many members come and go. It would be nice if a few more would give the site a chance when it’s like this.
  10. Hopefully, Wigan will turn things around and regain their health. Clubs need to stop spending beyond their means in pursuit of success and start living within their means.
  11. Yes, they weren’t biased towards us compared to other teams and said plenty about Notts. You could say they didn’t do the same for Wrexham, who did receive some praise at times when it wasn’t truly deserved, but that’s to be expected.
  12. I hope that both Nottingham Forest and Notts County can have success in the future. While some fans may not represent their clubs in the best way, it’s important to remember that both clubs have a rich history and contribute to the city of Nottingham. It would be great to see more collaboration between the two clubs, such as sharing youth players and showing mutual respect for each other’s history and achievements.
  13. Sending you lots of love and support to his family. Who r ya!! You Pies!! was a special and unique individual who had a flair and a style that was incomparable. I enjoyed every interaction I had with them on this forum. They will live on in our memories and posts
  14. Jodi Jones' signing is indeed a huge boost for Notts County. His pace and technique make him a valuable asset to the team. He has the ability to create chances and score goals, which will be crucial in helping Notts County achieve their objectives. His performances during his loan spell were impressive and it's great news that he will be staying with the team for longer. Jones' ability to cause problems for any defence with his passes and runs is a testament to his quality as a player. He has the potential to be a game-changer for Notts County and his presence in the team will undoubtedly strengthen their attacking options. The fans will be excited to see him continue to perform at a high level and help the team achieve success.
  15. I would hope that Jodi Jones would sign for Notts County. He suits our playing style and has the ability to excel. Notts County could help him revive his career even further. While many clubs may be interested in him, Meadow Lane is a special place when you make a connection to it. I believe Jodi has established that connection.
  16. Remarkable! I would never have thought about this. It’s not something that many people would consider.
  17. It’s delightful to hear David Jackson after all these years. He has done exceptionally well with this and I believe it’s a great listen.
  18. The emotional moment of seeing Jason Turner’s flag on display and the announcement that the boardroom will be renamed in his honour shows how much the Reedtz brothers value the club’s history and traditions.
  19. Congratulations on taking some fantastic photos of our day out at Wembley.
  20. The team’s victory at Wembley was a testament to their hard work and determination. They faced a tough opponent in Chesterfield but managed to come out on top thanks to their never-say-die attitude.
  21. I’ll be present as usual. This is one of the biggest must-win games in a while, but it’s not among the top five most important games in my lifetime. However, if we defeat Boreham Wood, the next game might just make it to the list. I’m not sure what to expect from them; they seem to be a capable team and don’t seem to fear being under pressure for long periods. I’d like to predict a Notts win, but I think it’ll be tough. If it were a league game, I’d predict a draw.
  22. Welcome to PON @nottsfan81, I also look forward to reading your contributions on the site.
  23. Hey there @Canadian! Long time no see. What have you been up to these past five years? Hiding out in Alaska or something?
  24. P.O.N is a nice site @JohnTheBost, welcome from me to you.
  25. As a passionate Notts County fan, I urge our manager Luke Williams to do everything in his power to bring our club back into the Football League. We believe in you and trust that you will go above and beyond to make this dream come true. We’re counting on you!
