Hednesford Town needs a lifeline to survive. It’s hard to see how they’ll attract an owner with the money to do anything more than keep them afloat. That owner will need fairly deep pockets just to do that.

Jake Reeves was a good player for Notts. I think some fans are critical because he didn’t want to be stuck in the National League and wanted to play in the Football League. I wish it had been with us, but then we might not have signed Matt Palmer. Good luck to Reeves at Wimbledon.

Landing a sports writer role is a dream job. I feel sorry for Ollie, but that’s the Nottingham Post for you. Having a writer just for Notts and Forest seems a bit redundant to me, but I appreciated Ollie’s approach to Notts. If the NEP thinks Notts fans will accept mediocre content from them, then they can kiss goodbye to any loyalty our fan base has. I only bought the paper when Notts had good features, and that was largely thanks to Ollie.

That sounds like a lot of fun! I’ve always wanted to see how a theatre works behind the scenes. What show was it? Did you win at pool? @ARLukomski, you are one of the best commenters on this site. You always made me think and laugh. I hope you are well and happy. Please make your comeback and grace us with your presence again.

Luke Williams gave a great interview on the BBC East Midlands. He spoke eloquently and passionately about the club’s promotion from the National League to League Two. Well done, Luke!

I have to commend the National League Paper for their excellent coverage of Notts County during their time in the National League. They wrote some brilliant stories and gave us a lot of insight into the team and the league. Thank you, NLP!

I’ve seen some videos of the players celebrating after the promotion, but it doesn’t bother me at all. This season was a one-off and so is any drinking. I’m sure Luke Williams will know how to handle it and what to say if anything is needed. They deserve to enjoy this moment after all they’ve been through.

I have to admit, I enjoyed the four years in the Non League. It was a different experience, a chance to visit new grounds and meet new fans. It was also a time to rebuild our club and our identity, and to appreciate what we have. But I can’t deny that it still hurts how we got there. We didn’t go down fighting, we went down with a whimper. We let ourselves and our history down. We deserved better. Some of the highlights from the past four seasons in the National League were: The 5-1 win over Chorley in our first game back in 2019. A statement of intent and a glimpse of hope. The FA Trophy run in 2019-20, reaching the semi-finals and beating some tough opponents along the way. A shame we couldn’t finish it off. The 3-0 win over Chesterfield in 2020-21. A sweet revenge over our old rivals and a sign of our progress. The 4-0 win over Torquay in 2021-22. A dominant performance and a confirmation of our promotion credentials. The 4-1 win over Barnet in 2022-23. A superb home victory against a good club who looked lost against us. I’m proud of what we achieved in the Non League, but I’m also glad to be back in the Football League. We belong there. We are Notts County.

Notts County playing their 5,000th game is a huge milestone and a testament to the club’s rich history and tradition. It would be fantastic if this momentous occasion could be celebrated at home, in front of their loyal fans.

Automatic promotion back to back would be amazing but it might prove difficult. While Notts has the talent and determination to achieve back-to-back promotions, it won’t be an easy feat. The competition is fierce, and it will take everything they’ve got to secure a top spot. But with their skill and dedication, they have what it takes to achieve their goals.

Jonathan Forte’s importance in the playoff games against Coventry will never be forgotten. He played a crucial role in those matches, delivering top-notch performances and scoring crucial goals. Forte’s skill and determination were on full display during those games, and he helped lead the team to victory. His contributions were invaluable and he will always be remembered fondly by fans for his efforts in those playoff games.

Sam Slocombe seems to receive some harsh criticism that previous keepers managed to avoid. I don’t understand how it’s easy to defend Ross Fitzsimons while blaming Slocombe when he works his gloves off to keep us in games.

In today’s world, I’d rather be happy that a chairman of a different team wished us well than feeling disgruntled or like we have to be at war just because of the rivalry. I don’t know much about Ryan Reynolds, but if he takes the time to wish my team well, he has my respect.

I don’t want to be a party pooper, but I think we’ll make the playoffs and then experience a few years where we either lose in the final or get knocked out before. It would be amazing to get back-to-back promotions and I think Luke Williams has what it takes to guide us to success, but we may need to build a little further.

In the past, we’ve seen players who contributed to the team being allowed to leave. I’m tempted to suggest that we give some of the players a try in League Two. Sam Slocombe, Connell Rawlinson, and Jim O’Brien all have roles they can play in the squad. Kyle Cameron, Aaron Nemane, and Ruben Rodrigues are all key players that we need to retain.

His contributions to the games are instrumental in securing a victory for Notts County. Matt Palmer’s outstanding performance at Wembley is just one example of the many times he has proven himself to be a top-class midfielder.

I wouldn’t worry about Luke Williams leaving for Reading. He seems to have his head screwed on right and surely he realises that the rapport he has with the players is the kind of special connection that can lead to bigger and better things. I would be more concerned if Macaulay Langstaff was linked to them.

Chesterfield did well, I thought they approached the start exactly how a team should. It's lucky for us that they grew tired after chasing the game but Notts did well to get back into the game twice. The penalties were something I didn't want to watch with my own eyes, very stressful trip to Wembley but worth the outcome.
