  1. It will be a case of watch and see. A keeper can have a dry spell with a club and it’s the hardest position to lift yourself up from when you do concede goals. He sounds like he has the ability to do well; fingers crossed we will see it.
  2. The cup draw is fine. I don’t think those who are upset or moaning about it will be attending the game away. It’s just a thing every club has: fans who just find the negative in things.
  3. David McGoldrick gets my vote. I think his return will turn out to be a masterstroke and just the vibe the signing gives easily makes him my favourite signing so far.
  4. Many of the better shops have been replaced by poorer ones that are similar. Woolworths was an iconic store to shop in, Dixons could be a good place to spot a bargain. British Home Stores is another iconic store that has gone. Department stores are dying off; many good places have gone.
  5. I think a centre back and a left wing-back would complete the job. I do think there will be more signings, but I don’t want us to have a large squad just for the sake of it. We need to ensure we have cover and good depth, which I think we’re quite close to now.
  6. He seems to have been forgotten for sure. He’s made one cameo appearance and spent the rest of the time on the bench. If he were to feature in our future plans, I don’t understand how he would get a good amount of game time. It’s both a good and bad thing, and it’s down to Luke Williams to make it work out.
  7. I am glad you went out for a meal to celebrated your birthday, @Fan of Big Tone. Happy birthday to you.
  8. This is fantastic news! I’m thrilled to hear that Dan Crowley has joined our squad. He seems like the perfect addition to our team. His technical abilities and experience at Arsenal will definitely bring some great quality to our side.
  9. It's great to see Crowley embracing his individuality as a player. Far too often, young talents are saddled with huge expectations when compared to established stars. Can't wait to see him in action for Notts County!
  10. Signing and committing Kyle Cameron to a new deal is a boost for the club as they start to look for depth and further quality. Cameron is a good player, but he needs to be more focused at times and not get carried away when on the ball.
  11. It was a nice touch from Maddison. I didn’t remember that they had played together either. At first, I thought he was just being nice to Jodi because he was aware of his troubles.
  12. There should be plenty of candidates for the position. The job is quite standard in terms of what they do, but it is a demanding role that requires a lot of hands-on work and time. I trust the board to appoint a good CEO to continue from Jason Turner. His shoes may never be completely filled, but having someone who tries would help.
  13. He possesses fire and energy and can still compete with the best of them. He recognises that his role is that of a squad player and will receive game time when needed or when in form. He may not expect to play many games, but I hope he does make a fair few appearances because he still has good performances within him.
  14. Some players may take note and realise that money isn’t everything. I would prefer to enjoy doing a job I am paid to do rather than one I dislike. I am not suggesting that David McGoldrick disliked his time at Derby, but his decision to opt for less pay in exchange for more enjoyment is commendable.
  15. Jim always presents himself well. I appreciate everything he says, and while others may consider him past his prime, I do not. I believe he performed solidly last season, but not everyone values ageing players. I hope he enjoys playing in League Two and helps us achieve a top-end finish.
  16. Jodi Jones is an exceptional player who even looks impressive playing for Malta. I am delighted that he will be with us for the next two years.
  17. Good signing for Oxford; I do wonder if the club knew or reacted to them breaking the news as it was all very quick. It looks like Ruben was in Portugal, as I saw a video of him wishing us all the best. I repeat that and wish him the same!
  18. Just reading all the comments, you can see what it means to the fans and how Ruben has touched us all. He leaves with my kindness. I will remember him getting the better of most teams quite fondly.
  19. Did anyone believe we could get longer from him? Hope is different from reality, but I am sad in a good way. It feels sort of like an end to an era with losing such a good player like Ruben Rodrigues. Yet I am excited about the season ahead; I just wish fans would stop worrying about Macaulay Langstaff leaving.
  20. Solid re-signing; Jim is always ever dependable and when he’s needed, he’s the experienced leg that goes that extra distance to help Notts get the result needed.
  21. I have seen his name and recall him being mentioned, but never have I heard of Notts being interested. I do remember him doing well for Rotherham. I thought he was still with them, to be honest.
  22. You just don’t expect it. While I don’t live in Nottingham, I am from there and it’s distressing to hear that the wonderful city has been targeted with terrorism. I hope those who are on here from Nottingham keep safe and haven’t been directly affected. If you have, I am sorry for your loss.
  23. Our star striker, Macaulay Langstaff, is very stylish and well-presented. Well done. I am pleased that he’s been able to claim his award. Fingers crossed he can add a few more during his career to his own shelf or cabinet.
  24. I don’t know much about Scott Arfield. I think his age is a negative mostly due to the fact that we need hungrier and more long-term options. I hope this is a false rumour too.
  25. I have never been a big of wrestling, but I remember the mid to late 80s and remember the Iron Sheik. May he rest in peace.
