  1. I had an amazing time watching Notts at the new Wembley Stadium in London.
  2. It was truly touching to witness the elation on the faces of the players as they celebrated their victory and promotion. Luke Williams’ gracious expression of thanks to all those who played a part in the team’s success was a true display of class.
  3. The pictures you've taken are great, @Chris. You are a valuable asset to the club.
  4. It has always been delightful to watch young Curtis develop into a player and I thought he performed very well. Thus, I am surprised that Wycombe have parted ways with him. It appears that it was more his decision, as there was speculation that Bolton were interested in him.
  5. @Piethagoram Yes, I’ll be at Wembley tomorrow. I’m planning to leave at half past eight to arrive in London ahead of the big match. Will you be there? And thank you once again for your congratulations.
  6. Way to go @Piethagoram! You’ve been voted as the Pride of Nottingham Member of the Year for 2023!
  7. Chris, your photos are fantastic. You really capture the essence of the day. Well done!
  8. Jodi Jones is a quality player who consistently seeks to engage in the game. His defensive skills are an added advantage. In my opinion, he is more refined than players such as Aaron Nemane.
  9. My vote is in! I wish everyone the best of luck and want to say that all the members mentioned bring so much life to our community here on the Pride of Nottingham. Thank you for being a part of it.
  10. The match between Torquay United and Notts County was a thrilling away game with an electric atmosphere. Both teams played strongly and the scoreline was close, with Notts County ultimately securing a narrow victory of 2-1. It was a truly exciting game to witness!
  11. It could easily be Jodi Jones, but he hasn’t started enough games. He seems to be a player waiting in the wings to be signed permanently before he establishes himself as a regular. Aden Baldwin, Cedwyn Scott and Sam Austin all deserve praise, but it has to go to Macaulay Langstaff as this season’s best signing.
  12. Can you clarify if he started his career at Stoke City, i.e came through their academy or if he began his career having signed for them from elsewhere to start?
  13. I'm really looking forward to the upcoming match between Notts County and York City. Our team is strong and has a solid game plan, so I think we have a good chance of winning. The players have been working hard in training and are determined to give it their all on the pitch. Our support as fans will also be crucial in boosting the team's morale. With our vocal encouragement and unwavering loyalty, the players will feel even more motivated to perform at their best. I'm hopeful that with a combination of skill, strategy, and support, Notts will come out on top against York.
  14. Both Wrexham and our team gave it their all and made the National League more thrilling than anyone could have anticipated. Despite the challenges faced by both teams this season, we were able to dig deep and achieve results even when the other team was doing well. I commend Wrexham for their incredible season and for winning the title.
  15. I think it's mostly good because the club needs to work with talent and develop them further in order to bring in revenue. I know Notts has said we're not a selling club, but we need to be. Whilst I think replacing Macaulay Langstaff would be difficult, at our level, there are loads of strikers who can score goals. When the time is right to allow him to move on, I would hope the records he has set will encourage higher bids. Until then, Notts needs to keep him happy and progress alongside him.
  16. I need time to think about it. For me, there are four strong contenders: Adam Chicksen, Macaulay Langstaff, Matt Palmer, and Ruben Rodrigues.
  17. It's good to have back-to-back seasons where there are more than one strong contender. I thought last season was difficult to choose, but this time is even more challenging.
  18. Ed Francis's existing deal runs out at the end of May. I can see the club moving on and allowing him to leave. He hasn't been the same player since Michael Doyle left. I think Doyle managed to inspire him, though some say he's too lightweight. I have always felt he had potential. I still do; I just feel he hasn't shown enough, and he will improve with a fresh challenge. I would offer Connell Rawlinson and Jim O'Brien a year deal. The rest need to be talked into longer contracts, as they're vital team members.
  19. The first half wasn't the best for either team. I thought Woking looked like a decent team when they weren't playing the poor sportsmanship card. Neither team looked likely to score. The second half was an improvement. Notts started to attack with more urgency, and I thought Sam Austin was class! His first goal was very well taken, and his second was superb! I wasn't sure if Aaron Nemane actually scored the third goal; it was a bizarre bicycle kick. Notts largely improved once the first goal went in, and I thought the game was very entertaining. I didn't understand why Jodi Jones and Adam Chicksen switched, but once that had been reverted and Aaron Nemane came on, he looked quite lively!
  20. Hello, it's interesting to see a Wrexham fan joining a Notts site. I thought many didn't like us due to the rivalry! You will be treated with respect, @Dry Nelson Ray, interesting username, by the way.
  21. What occurred was a horrific event, and it was one of the darkest days in football history. The UK struggled to adapt to the incident at first, but those involved who tragically lost their lives will never be forgotten.
  22. Zeli Ismail had the potential to be a game changer on any given day, but he can also fade into obscurity. I observed that he performed well only in certain periods of the game, and would step up his game when required, as he did against Barnsley. However, this was not a frequent occurrence, and I did not sense that he had the drive to advance beyond League One. Despite possessing natural talent and potential, it seemed that he lacked the motivation to excel. Consequently, I had reservations about his prospects of achieving success at a higher level.
  23. This is the biggest game of the season, and both teams must set aside their nerves and concentrate on their own performance. As Notts prepares for the match, they must draw strength from their travelling fans. The significance of the event is not lost on either team, as Wrexham and Notts will both be determined not to suffer a defeat, making a draw a more probable outcome. It is crucial to avoid suspensions, injuries, and any foolish behaviour that can occur during highly-charged games. I will be watching the match live on BT Sports at home, hoping for the best possible outcome.
  24. It was a fitting farewell from a commemorative match, with a favourable outcome and enthusiastic encouragement for a poignant day. Jason Turner would have been pleased with the proceedings, may he rest in peace.
  25. It appears that there is little that can be done at this point except for us to hope that he has a speedy recovery. However, on paper, it seems like a promising signing. While the player's injury or condition may be out of our control, expressing hope for their recovery can be a way to show support and positivity. It also indicates that we are invested in their well-being beyond just their performance on the field. Regarding the signing, it's possible that the player's abilities and potential were evaluated based on their past performances, statistics, or other factors. These objective measures may have led to a positive assessment of the player's potential contribution to the team. However, it's important to remember that a player's success is not solely determined by their individual skills or past accomplishments. Factors such as team dynamics, coaching, and overall team performance can all impact a player's ability to perform well. Therefore, while it may seem like a good signing on paper, there are still many variables that could affect the player's success and the team's overall performance. Ultimately, only time will tell whether or not the signing was truly successful.
