  1. Honouring Sven-Göran Eriksson with a minute's applause exemplifies the respect and admiration the Notts County community holds for him. Beyond his on-field successes, his personal integrity was evident in his decision to waive his payoff. This gesture was more than just generous; it was a testament to his deep respect for the club. As fans gather to pay their respects, it's clear that Eriksson's influence will continue to inspire. His legacy is one of hope, ambition, and a true love for the beautiful game.
  2. Hats off to Stuart Maynard and the team for another brilliant win. The tactical flexibility shown against Swindon is exactly what we need to sustain a promotion push. Holding on to a lead in such a tightly contested match shows the grit we have. McGoldrick rolled back the years with two phenomenal goals and proved his worth. It’s exciting to see how the new signings will blend into the team and offer even more depth. Special mention to the defence and keeper for absorbing the pressure effectively. Consistency will be key, and if we improve our ball recovery, we can surely challenge for the playoffs.
  3. He seems like a bit of a gamble. Notts probably sees him as someone who can open up play and provide assists rather than a straightforward goalscorer. The number of goals he scored last season wasn't great compared to his appearances.
  4. Reading about George Abbott's thoughts on joining Notts, I’m encouraged by his enthusiasm and level-headed approach. Leaving Tottenham, where he spent his formative years, to step into a more challenging and diverse football environment is certainly commendable. His research into Notts County’s fan base and his appreciation for their support before even starting a game shows a lot about his character. Abbott's defensive focus and ability to link play from the back to the front should significantly bolster our squad. It’s clear that he’s ready to take on the big crowds and step up to the challenge. Here’s to a successful season ahead with George contributing on the pitch!
  5. All deaths are sad, especially when you are in the middle of your own life. I am sorry to hear that he has passed away. I wish his family and friends comfort. I will remember him as a man who smiled and tried to help the club I love.
  6. I’m not worried about goals with this squad, but I am concerned that if Jatta gets injured or suspended, we’ll have to rely on David McGoldrick and Cedwyn Scott. Scott is being played in a position that doesn’t seem natural to him. If he moved up front, it might take time for him to adjust. That’s why we need a signing like Macaulay Langstaff. Jatta is a fantastic talent, and I’m sure he’ll score goals and do well in our team. Wanting another option isn’t about replacing him, but about having more depth and quality. As I said, he’ll get goals. It would be great to hear his chant more and see him score more. He’s a very important part of the squad.
  7. It’s sometimes hard to see what happens, but I’ve seen a video Sky Sports released that clearly shows the ball bouncing off both of Dan Crowley’s hands. As for the offside, I’m not sure there was any interference. They change the rules so much it’s hard to be certain. It did look like offside, but I think even if the goals were disallowed, Notts would have gone on to win anyway. It was a brilliant performance, and I understand Grimsby fans’ complaints, but the decision is final now. They’ll get a similar favour at some point, which they might not mind then.
  8. I’m not being negative, but I think it shows the level our women’s team is at and where improvements are needed. Not every team will beat them like that, but it does show how good Loughborough are.
  9. I feel bad hearing that Gerald Bajami has suffered the same injury. If it’s his other knee, that would be worrying. Best wishes to him.
  10. I’m looking forward to seeing how he fits into the team. He sounds like a reliable defender and is at an age where he could improve with more game time. It’s a very promising addition to the Notts squad.

  13. Will he go into coaching or punditry? I wish him all the best; he's had a good career.
  14. It's outrageous how they lower the prices, only to raise them even higher than before. It shouldn't be this high, but at the very least, it should stay at a reasonable level. How much profit does an energy company really need to make at the expense of people's lives?
  15. Please send my well wishes to @AmericanPie. Like others before me, I am saddened to hear about his health problems. He had mentioned some in the past, and it seemed they had been taken care of. I wish they had been for him.
  16. Hello, @Countylad. Welcome to PON.

  18. Hello, @Nay. Welcome to PON.
  19. I appreciate Tom’s answers. Some could have been more detailed, but I understand it’s early in the season. Relegation can be dreadful, as we Notts fans know, but Fleetwood have a good chance of doing well and could be one of the teams fighting for a playoff place.
  20. I’m content to toss a bit of cash towards the donations now and again. The subscription aspect seems like a very efficient method to ensure the site receives regular assistance to cover expenses and so on. I commend those members who have subscribed, as I’ve mentioned, I’m pleased to contribute.
  21. I hear you, @ARLukomski. I think your honesty and authenticity are what make your channel special. If making videos feels like a burden, perhaps a break is necessary. Your health and happiness are more important. Whatever you decide, your true fans will support you.
  22. In my opinion, the quality of fruit can be inconsistent. It doesn’t seem as good as it used to be. While some fruits are generally fine, others taste different and spoil faster.
  23. While there’s scope for more players, I anticipate that the new signings will likely be more of squad players rather than first-team competitors. I’m fine with this, as long as we sign a striker. We’re quite thin in that area, and a good signing would boost our confidence.
  24. I don’t pay much attention to friendly matches, and the results don’t concern me. My focus is on understanding how the team is shaping up. Despite a 2-2 draw, I see more positives than negatives. Notts demonstrated some excellent football against a respectable York team. I believe that with a few more players and the starting 11 finding their footing, we’ll be in a strong position by the season’s end.
  25. Friendlies are like this for new strikers stepping up. It seems Millwall are focusing on integrating him into the first team. Once he's on the same level as his teammates and they create chances for him, he'll score.
