  1. Hello @Strawb66, welcome to PON.
  2. I have seen you joining in, @Morten Johansen. It's nice to have you here.
  3. It reminded me of one of Jack Grealish's goals for us; he responded very quickly and placed it well. The keeper perhaps could have done better, but there's no pressure on him. I just hope he gets time in future games and until then takes everything in his stride.
  4. Many members seem to have strayed, but we've had a surge of returning members, and I believe others will come back in time. Everyone has a life outside of Notts, but the sense of togetherness here is on a whole new level.
  5. Well put, @super_ram. I’m glad you and @pietha were recognised for your contributions. You’re both key members of PON, and I always enjoy reading your posts.
  6. Crawley looked strong in the first half, not so much in the second. They might have tired out, but that’s no excuse. I still think the result would have gone our way because Notts tends to perform when attacking the KOP. We usually play well in either the first or the second half, rarely throughout the whole game.
  7. The free kick was perfectly placed and timed, executed efficiently. The Crawley Town keeper couldn’t have done much. For Jim O’Brien to control the header and place it just right, it was a good goal.
  8. Crawley Town played well, but I think they put too much into the first half. Some of their players didn’t behave well on the pitch, which was disappointing. They didn’t deserve anything from the game. As for the repeated mentions of their 4-hour coach journey, if they were trying to justify their tiredness, well, that’s just part of football, Scott Lindsey.
  9. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, it's good to have you here @Darryl Chapman.
  10. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, it's good to have you here @magpiemad.
  11. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, it's good to have you here @Laura Cameron.
  12. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, it's good to have you here @samantha louise.
  13. What an exceptional match it was! For me, this victory doesn't only signify three points in the bag, but it's a good to see our team's incredible resilience. The way we bounced back after Crawley's initial goal shows the winning mindset we possess. Well done to David McGoldrick for reigniting Notts' hopes with his excellently executed shot.
  14. It was a thrilling match indeed! Dan Crowley's introspection post-match is commendable. It's refreshing to see a player who's not merely satisfied with a win but seeks constant improvement. We've got the brilliance and the blitz, now to focus on sustaining momentum in the second half. Crowley's proactive attitude is just the kind of leadership needed for us to ascend in the league. Cheers to our squad and cheers to future wins!
  15. The part where Williams acknowledges how powerful the top league teams are was a great show of humility and respect.
  16. The speculation surrounding Luke Williams’ potential move to Oxford United, while noteworthy, does not necessarily signify an imminent departure. In the world of football, rumours and conjecture are part and parcel of the game. However, until there is official confirmation, these remain just that - rumours. Williams’ decision to remain with Notts County, in spite of the swirling rumours, is indeed a breath of fresh air in today’s football climate where loyalty can often be overshadowed by opportunity. His choice to stay is not just a testament to his commitment to the club, but also a reflection of the resilience and spirit that Notts County embodies. Williams is more than just a coach; he is a symbol of the club’s enduring spirit and resilience. His actions remind us that in football, loyalty still holds value.
  17. Both Lawton and Carroll have truly left their mark on this day, the 15th of November, through their unwavering dedication and relentless efforts. Their commitment to their work is nothing short of inspiring. It’s a testament to their character and a reflection of their passion. We can’t help but tip our hats in admiration and respect for these fine gentlemen. Their contributions today will not be forgotten.
  18. This is a pleasing update, with many positive aspects about PON. I’m delighted to see the content return. Keep up the excellent work.
  19. I’m hopeful that the EFL will sanction this, as it could lead to an extension of his contract in January. This seems to be a prudent short-term signing, and if he proves his worth, we’re well-positioned to keep him at the club.
  20. This appears to be a sensible short-term signing, and I hope the EFL gives it their approval. With luck, we’ll be able to offer him a standard two-year deal come January.
  21. Hello and welcome to PON, @Samuel Morris. It's always good to see a new member.
  22. Welcome to PON @Callumpie. Its good to have you here.
  23. Aden Baldwin is indeed correct in prioritising victory, regardless of the cost. However, I share your concern about the potential long-term effects of his heading the ball. This is a serious matter that should not be taken lightly. While it’s true that humour can often be found in darker situations, Baldwin’s performance demonstrated why he is considered one of our top defenders. As for Notts, the key is teamwork. Luke Williams should not be disheartened by any setbacks, but rather use them as motivation to strive for better.
  24. Welcome to the community here at PoN, @Max Roberts.
  25. Notts County is certainly cementing its place in history with such a landmark event. It's good to see the respect Luke Williams has for our club's past. His words are an embodiment of the sentiments that every true Notts fan feels towards this great club. It's a celebration of not just the milestones achieved but also an acknowledgment of the legacy left by legends like Jimmy Sirrel and Brian Clough. Their influences are indeed ever present and continue to motivate current and future generations. This 5000th EFL match signifies more than just a game, it's a testament to the resilience and spirit of this club which has stood the test of time.
