  1. If Notts intends to sign players today, it's crucial to prioritize a defender capable of playing both as a wing-back and in the center, along with a possible addition of another striker. Anything beyond this would be unnecessary, as it would help to mitigate the impact of Joel Taylor's departure.
  2. The defending from Notts was absolutely woeful, as they seemed to be caught in that moment and unable to communicate effectively. This led to a sense of panic and disarray amongst the players, with everyone scrambling resulting chaos that was nothing short of mayhem, with Barnet taking full advantage of the situation to score their leveller.
  3. It's not ideal for clubs to recall players from loan deals just to send them out on loan again. It can hinder a player's ability to settle and get comfortable in a team. The only time I would agree with this approach is if the loan club isn't giving the player enough playing time, as it would make sense to find a better situation for them. However, if a player is performing well and finding form, it seems counterproductive to pull them back, only to send them to another team. Of course, every situation is unique, and it's difficult to predict how it will turn out for the player. Ultimately, you have to hope that the player benefits from the decision.
  4. The game between Barnet and Notts was a tough one, with both teams having the opportunity to win. Rodrigues came close to scoring for Notts, while Barnet almost scored twice, but Brooks managed to prevent them from scoring. Despite Barnet considering Brooks as a possible weak link, the young goalkeeper performed well. Langstaff's goal was a huge relief for Notts, but their performance as a team was not up to their usual standard at Meadow Lane. Overall, I don't feel like we were that bad, but I do believe that Wrexham will now win the title.
  5. Adam Chicksen's extended one-year contract has proven to be a brilliant decision as he has become a crucial player for Notts this season. His consistency and reliability on and off the pitch have made him one of the first names on the team sheet for Luke Williams. Chicksen's talent and dedication have been instrumental in helping the Magpies push towards their goal of returning to the Football League.
  6. I am delighted to hear about the club's latest signing, Junior Morias. This addition to our team strengthens our attacking options and shows the club's commitment to building a competitive squad that can achieve future success. Morias impressive goal tally of 23 goals in during his time at Dagenham and Redbridge make him a valuable asset to our team. Although Morias is currently sidelined with a short-term injury, I believe the club has long-term plans at hand with him. I can't wait to see him on the field in the Notts County shirt. I appreciate Notts County boss Luke Williams emphasis on giving Morias the time and support he needs to adapt to the physical and mental demands of playing at Meadow Lane. With his speed and skill, I expect Morias to make a significant impact on the team's fortunes, and I have no doubt that he will become a valuable asset for the Magpies. I look forward to seeing him help lead us to success in the future.
  7. I was ecstatic about Notts County's 3-1 victory over Eastleigh. The match was a true test of the team's grit and determination, with both sides going for it, but I felt Eastleigh went in harder with rough challenges. However, the players showed incredible courage and never-give-up attitude in the second half to secure the win. One player who truly shone in this match was Rodrigues. He was an unstoppable force on the field and played a critical role in securing the victory for Notts County. His talent and skill were evident throughout the match, and it's clear that he has the potential to be a game-changer in future matches. Another player who caught my attention was Sam Austin. He was constantly on the move and never stopped running forward or being direct in his approach to the game. He was a constant menace for the opposition and made a significant impact on the match. I strongly believe that he should be given more playing time to help contribute to the team's success.
  8. In my view, while Eastleigh is a good team, I don't think they will be able to match Notts County's quality in this upcoming match. Notts has demonstrated great skill and proficiency in their previous games, and with the added advantage of playing at home, I believe they will emerge victorious. That being said, I am not entirely dismissive of Eastleigh's potential. Every team has their strengths and weaknesses, and Eastleigh has shown in the past that they can be a formidable opponent. However, I think their playing style might work against them in this match. Their tendency to wait for chances to strike rather than being proactive might play into Notts hands, allowing them to dictate the pace of the game and create opportunities.
  9. Best for both parties considering, good luck to Joel.
  10. It's disappointing to see Wrexham being awarded soft penalties and diving, as well as fouling the opposition keeper to win games. Such biased decisions are less about luck and more about unfair advantages to help them achieve their desired results. It's only fair that some of the remaining teams have the opportunity to face triumph and win against Wrexham, as they don't deserve the high praise they're receiving. Let's hope that justice prevails and the beautiful game of football is played with integrity and fairness.
  11. What a fantastic display of skill, courage, and determination from the magpies in yesterdays game! It's no wonder they came out on top with such a talented squad, including the undeniable heartbeat of the team, Matty Palmer. Alongside other stars of this squad, Palmer drove the team forward with his exceptional playmaking and leadership abilities. From start to finish, the boys in black and white dominated the field and showcased their incredible talent, making it an absolutely massive win for the team and our fans.
  12. Wishing Ian Burchnall all the best at Anderlecht, but much like Forest Green, with Michael Doyle's, depends largely on effective management.
  13. Notts gave it their all and came out on top, what a great win!
  14. It's always reassuring to see good old Macca step in and save the day! His dependability is a real asset, and he never fails to come through when we need him.
  15. This is not the type of fan footage video, any player would want to see on YouTube.
  16. I must say, he seems like a really nice lad. Interestingly, I had no idea that he had been a part of Sheffield Wednesday academy before joining our youth setup, and it was only recently that I learned that Mark Crossley was instrumental in convincing him to join us. I must say, he speaks exceptionally well for someone his age, and his openness is hard not to appreciate. It's always great to see young individuals who are talented, dedicated, and personable, and I have no doubt that he will go on to achieve great things in his career.
  17. If Notts want to challenge for a title, they need to beat Dorking. Wrexham might have a hard time because other teams will want to beat them to show they can beat a famous team. Luke Williams needs to motivate the team after their draw with Bromley. I don't think he believes they can't win the title. It would be strange for him to say that unless he's playing mind games. They just need to focus on winning the game, even if it's not a beautiful performance.
  18. Langstaff and Palmer have been reliable players for Notts. One works hard and gets things done without drawing attention, while the other seizes opportunities and has received praise for his efforts. Personally, I think it's a toss-up between the two of them.
  19. It would be unwise to underestimate Bromley, and I'm afraid to say that the writing was on the wall even before the game began. In my opinion, the keeper situation wouldn't have changed the outcome of the match. The first penalty was a careless mistake by from a Notts prospect, and although the game was entertaining, it was frustrating for Notts fans at the game as nothing seemed to click, and many opportunities could have been executed better. A fair point, but lucky at the same time for Notts.
  20. I am cautiously optimistic about the prospect of playing Bromley. While they may not be one of the biggest clubs in the league, they have proven to be a tough opponent for many teams this season. On one side, I am confident in our team's ability to play at a high level and secure a victory against Bromley. We have a strong squad with talented players who are capable of taking on any challenge. Our recent form has been impressive [putting aside the loss to Dagenham], and we have managed to secure some important victories that have put us in a good position in the league. However, I am also aware that Bromley cannot be underestimated. They have shown that they are a team that can cause upsets, and they will be motivated to take points from us. It is important that Notts approach the game with the right mindset and focus on our strengths while also being prepared for any surprises that Bromley may throw our way. While there are no guarantees in football, I believe that if we play to our full potential, we should be able to come away with a positive result.
  21. The best thing about birthday cake is having grandchildren to share it with. Just remember, calories don't count on your special day, so go ahead and indulge in all your favourite treats. And don't worry about getting older, because with age comes wisdom...and more excuses to eat cake!
  22. Welcome to the community here at PON.
  23. Slocombe Cameron Rodrigues Palmer Langstaff This would be my choice for a 5-a-side team. I have gone for quality through the options available for my selection.
  24. I have mixed emotions about Ed Francis joining Gateshead on loan. On one hand, I understand that he needs more game time to develop his skills and become a stronger player for our team. On the other hand, he has shown real potential in his limited appearances for us this season, and it's a shame to see him go. However, I believe that this loan move is ultimately for the best. Francis will have the opportunity to play more regularly and gain valuable experience in a competitive league. Additionally, his loan spell will free up space in the midfield for our other players to step up and contribute to our push for promotion. I'm confident that Francis will make the most of his time at Gateshead and return to us even stronger next season. Good luck, Ed!
