  1. Luke Williams has a way with words that's truly captivating and effortless to absorb.
  2. In my opinion, Tiernan Brooks has potential for a promising future. However, I don't think he's quite prepared for consistent first-team football yet. To address this, I believe Notts should consider loaning him out to gain more experience. This would benefit both Brooks and the club, as he would have more opportunities to start games and build his confidence. If he continues to improve throughout the loan period, he should be able to reach the necessary level of skill for the team.
  3. I am eagerly waiting to see more of him beyond just a cameo appearance. From what I have heard, he seems to possess all the necessary abilities, and I do recall him playing well against Notts. However, since he is only on a season-long loan, I am uncertain about the comments regarding the possibility of a long-term deal. If he is being considered as a potential replacement for Ruben Rodrigues, then I hope he can step up and shine. Based on what I have seen so far, I believe he has the potential to become a valuable asset for the team. However, I think it is crucial to give him more playing time to see how he performs under pressure. If he continues to demonstrate the same level of skill and determination, then I would welcome the idea of a long-term deal. Nevertheless, I think it's too soon to make any predictions. I am looking forward to seeing him play in upcoming games and how he contributes to the team's overall performance. If he can adapt to the team's style of play and build chemistry with his fellow teammates, then I am confident that he can make a significant impact. Ultimately, it's up to him to prove himself and earn a spot in the starting lineup, but I have high hopes for his future with the team.
  4. Two factors that Notts is unable to overcome are bad officials and biased coverage. I sometimes fear that BT Sports is a curse when it comes to Notts. No matter what Notts tried to do to get back on top, it never seemed likely to happen, and I always feel that Dagenham & Redbridge would score to win the game.
  5. Happy Birthday, @super_ram. Another year young I see.
  6. It was one of them performance that everything plays out just the way you want it. Unforgettable game, fantastic team performance, and an incredible squad led by a top-class manager at this level. How can we possibly top that?
  7. A Beautiful Passage of Play, Ruben's Inch-Perfect Pass to Macca After Carrying the Ball Some Yards Was Delightful to Watch. Rodrigues might not be finding the net as consistently as he may or could do, but his work rate from midfield never drops. He's in fine form!
  8. Notts look to be signing players for the long term, with the mindset to sell. I doubt think Jack Bridge fits this business model, his ability on the pitch I do not question. If he would do well at Notts, that is anyone's guess. He may well be a good signing.
  9. All the streaming companies charging £10 for a decent viewing experience, It's a bit much. Netflix also missed a trick by not signing companies down for long term exclusivity, with YouTube becoming bigger streaming would always eventually catch on. It would seem Netflix has scored a massive own goal here.
  10. It's been awhile since welcoming anyone new to PON. Stick around @SSTurtle28.
  11. Nicke Kabamba played a storm against Chesterfield 2 weeks ago. Barnet are also a stronger side this season, not a weakened team but one that attacks well. It will be another tough test for Notts, both teams have a similar style.
  12. This is the guy who was training with Notts previously? Bit of a step down from playing League One.
  13. Notts just stopped doing what worked in the first half and found it difficult to match Grimsby's desire. A draw wouldn't have been so bad, yet to lose in the dying moments of the game after leading for so long annoys me. Ruben Rodrigues barely contributed anything positively to the game. I have seen criticism of Kyle Wootton, but I thought he had little to no service. I don't understand why the midfield didn't do their jobs better, Cal Roberts won't always have that spark to create something. I thought he was poor in the second half, very wasteful.
  14. This win could be the turning point of our season, a good result and Cal Roberts firing in 3 goals won't hinder his confidence what with the bid from Chesterfield.
  15. Notts just needs to be patient with their play, there will be times when Rochdale should press more and that is when we could sting them. I think the counter play tonight will be the area Notts enjoys more of its possession. Prediction? I couldn't possibly guess.
  16. I would hope that if Notts fails to win at Meadow Lane and that we hit another blip, fans don't jump to the assumption its related to this. You have to respect the draw, in the first half it didn't seem likely to happen. I'll be at the home rematch. ????
  17. Well, I think the job should've been taken care of first time a round but the second time of asking should be good enough. We need to see a good performance by Notts, nothing less. Convincing 2-0 win please. O'Brien and Wootton to score.
  18. Notts must do better at Meadow Lane in the returning replay, 0-0 isn't something to moan about but to be defensively good, does Notts lack the grit to go and score? Its almost Ricardo Moniz esq.
  19. I suspect one or two changes, but nothing that will rest most of the key players. Matt Palmer is important to get the ball moving forward, I don't see Ian Burchnall resting him. I do feel we should consider giving some a rest, Kairo Mitchell could lead the attack, but I do not see him as a goal scoring threat.
  20. If you can bear it, here's Halifax's extended highlights.
  21. The last three games are not a good advertisement for Notts, if Yeovil do their homework it could be a very difficult game. As mentioned before me, if Notts turns up and attacks well, taking some of the pressure of the defence a good result could come. Its time Notts bounces back.
  22. @menzinho I fear another 1-0, I hope its Notts that gets the win.
  23. Frustrating game at the end of the day, Notts didn't turn up and all the basics were wrong. I don't think either team played well, they just took their chance and nobody could've changed the outcome of that. Notts needs to be a lot more direct, I would welcome a change back to a more attacking formation. Those defensive issues will resolve themselves in time. I think we're both to blame, I did say 1-0 after all and that I hoped it would be to Notts. The point @Chris is trying to make is that Notts relies heavily on the more creative players, they do a lot of the running and chasing of the game. I would agree that Ruben Rodrigues is either tired or carrying some form of knock. He hasn't been at his best at all as of late and seems much slower than normal. @Elite_pie are you forgetting that there wasn't the usual break between seasons? This has to factor in with some of the players. Once last season ended, the new campaign began quicker due to the mess created by covid. As for the argumentative comment about "facilities and squad depth", that is nonsense. You cannot compare every player in this league to each other, in terms of fitness. Its a narrow and weak way to make a point. The facilities at Notts are good, it does depend on the players condition. I think Notts needs to work better as a team personally, instead of giving the ball to the out wide areas and expecting them to do the damage.
  24. @menzinho Don't jinx it. Notts are on fire right now and with the momentum building, the club could find themselves closer to the top space. I also think the game will be decided by one goal, I am just undetermined if it will be Notts, but my heart and mind thinks we can do it. Cal Roberts to score from the edge of the penalty box, how's that?
  25. @Chris can you swap the heads around? ????
