  1. Wouldn't that be a bit crunchy?
  2. It's a contact sport, players are allowed to touch each other (and it was barely more than a touch). The keeper made a conscious decision to go down, he could easily have stayed on his feet so why blow for a foul? Hopefully letting this goal stand will make some players think twice. John Bostock did something similar for Wrexham's first against us - he went down theatrically expecting a free kick, the ref waved play on and seconds later the ball was in the net. Just get on with the game!
  3. Since we missed out on round 13 a while back while evil spirits were being banished from the website, here's another special FA Cup round to make up for it! Everything else is the same, the games kick off at 3pm on Saturday and you get a joker each! Plymouth Argyle v Stoke City Swansea City v Huddersfield Town Cambridge United v Fleetwood Town Crewe Alexandra v Bristol Rovers Gillingham v Charlton Athletic Newport County v Barnet Halifax Town v Solihull Moors Oxford City v Maidenhead United

So Saturday's fixtures are online now (click here!). Thanks for playing and see you later!
  6. Well, that game was very "League Two" - scrappy, lots of misplaced passes and some nervy defending from both teams. We badly needed a Palmer in there in the first half to help us play it out. But the way we took control in the second half and came back showed real character. Really chuffed that Morias scored and JOB finally got the chance to show off his tattoo! It always is. We're a newly promoted team, it was highly unlikely we were going to sail through the division. Some people need to get a grip. Was he the one who elbowed Macari(?) in the face off the ball? I've seen players get a straight red for that.
  7. That's because we held the ball more, which is also part of defending. If they cannae get the ball, they cannae score a goal.
  8. I didn't realise this at all, we should make more of a fuss about it! Three points are a fine birthday present though
  9. Serves the keeper right, he went down like a sack of spuds looking for a free kick so he could waste more time. The Barnsley striker was expecting a booking by the look of him walking back up the pitch after scoring, but there was nothing wrong with the goal.
  10. Cardiff City 1-2 West Bromwich Albion Coventry City 1-1 Plymouth Argyle Bristol Rovers 2-0 Leyton Orient (joker) Oxford United 1-3 Bolton Wanderers Stevenage 2-0 Peterborough United Accrington Stanley 1-1 Swindon Town Gillingham 1-2 AFC Wimbledon Morecambe 1-2 Newport County
  11. Oh crikey, we have never beaten them at home either. Nor did we ever beat Wimbledon FC (we only spent two seasons in the same division as them mind). That's most definitely a bogey team, and to my mind one of only two League teams we've never beaten (alongside Fleetwood).
  12. Tomorrow (Tuesday) at 7.45pm is kick-off - go on, have a go! @ARLukomski, @Joshua, @upthepies, @TheSkipper, @allardyces tash, @KingWilliams, @OoooooTommy, @CliftonMagpie, @NottsCountyKev, @thommo, @JIMBO, @jimbob, @Nocturnal-Magpie, @AmericanPie, @KB1862, @George L, @Canadian

Cardiff City v West Bromwich Albion Coventry City v Plymouth Argyle Bristol Rovers v Leyton Orient Oxford United v Bolton Wanderers Stevenage v Peterborough United Accrington Stanley v Swindon Town Gillingham v AFC Wimbledon Morecambe v Newport County
  15. It's a strange looking ground, the pristine flats rising above it make it loom like an artist's impression in the pictures I've seen. The big blank wall behind the goal would be perfect for flags or murals to give it some extra character.
  16. Done. It feels a bit harsh to single one member out, I think everyone should give themselves a pat on the back for making this community what it is.
  17. Bristol City 2-1 Middlesbrough Preston North End 2-0 Cardiff City Lincoln City 1-1 Barnsley Northampton Town 2-1 Cambridge United Crawley Town 0-2 Harrogate Town Walsall 2-1 Forest Green Rovers (joker) Aldershot 0-1 Halifax Town Gateshead 2-2 Southend United

  19. Doctor Who might be on the telly again on Saturday, but rest assured that any trips to the future to sneak a look at Saturday's results will get you BANNED. Now that's cleared up, welcome to the prediction league! These games kick off at 3pm on Saturday, and don't forget your joker! Bristol City v Middlesbrough Preston North End v Cardiff City Lincoln City v Barnsley Northampton Town v Cambridge United Crawley Town v Harrogate Town Walsall v Forest Green Rovers Aldershot v Halifax Town Gateshead v Southend United
  20. Some of that forward play and finishing was out of this world. Bradford's first was a wicked deflection (possible even two deflections), but what an awful, panicked ball out from Baldwin in the first place. I hope the Bradford number 2 has grown that tache for charity
  21. I can't disagree too much with the posters above me. Crowley is a ridiculous player to have at this level, he's got no business in League Two at all. Gosling is a strange one, as you might expect he looked extremely rusty, but by the time he's up to speed his contract will be up.
  22. Justin Fashanu's brother played for Wimbledon. Too tenuous?
  23. I see what you did there
  24. Apologies for the delay folks, I've been away. But now I'm in the same country as the Spreadsheet of Destiny(TM), so expect your results to appear today or tomorrow.
  25. Safe standing areas do, but if you sit down during the game you won't see very much I would hope so, but somehow I can't see it. I couldn't see any evidence of lowered prices on Shrewsbury's website. I think about 15 pounds would be reasonable, all things considered. Charging the same as seating would reduce the appeal. Was any light shed on this during the fans' forum? Personally I prefer having standing areas close to the pitch rather than tucked away in the corner. I'm guessing the club have got their eye on the corner of the Kop closest to the Sirrel stand, as the seats there probably need replacing anyway.
