Match Discussion: Game 28 - The Spireites (A)
Very gritty win, sheer character and determination got us through. This is about the hardest fixture you can have in this division, and if Chesterfield had played the whole match with the focus and discipline they showed after we scored our winner, they may well have got something from this game. Hopefully they can throw a spanner in the works against our friends from north Wales. Dobra is a cheat and should be ashamed of himself.

Match Discussion: Game 28 - The Spireites (A)
Welcome @callum2569! The stats speak a clear language, but the form book can get thrown away in a (kind of) derby in front of a full house. It'll be a big match atmosphere and the home side have a new striker from Dagenham who'll be keen to impress. But if you're good enough for promotion, you've got to overcome situations like that. This is a really big few days, with today's match and in-form Barnet visiting on Tuesday and Wrexham hosting Woking. There's every chance points will be dropped at the top of the table. Hopefully we'll get the job done and Wrexham will be the ones to slip up. COYP!

RIP Sonny, an Eintracht Frankfurt fan
This is wonderful, thanks for sharing. It's sometimes easy to forget among all the talk about transfers, takeovers and dodgy referees, but some of the people we share a stadium with have the most incredible stories to tell. They deserve more of a focus sometimes.

Netflix shooting themselves in the foot?
They might be shooting themselves in the foot here. I think the idea of a family subscription is that it's used in one household, so technically sharing is a bit naughty, but it's been happening for a long time and Netflix have been fully aware of it. On the other hand, it's a very competitive market now and if Netflix is the most expensive option it could run into problems. If I want to stream TV series and films I can choose from Netflix, Amazon Prime (half the price and includes free deliveries and Champions League games), Wow (where all the HBO series are), Disney+ and more. Most of those providers also offer the same films.

Blast from the past: TV Shows
Not exactly a "past TV show", but I'm currently watching The Last of Us. I never played the game but I heard it had a great story, and the series is top notch so far. In terms of older series, I was really into Breaking Bad and the first couple of series of Lost before the writers started taking LSD. And of course Game of Thrones. @Chris you really ought to watch the last series of Better Call Saul, it's pretty special @Fozzy I love The Last Kingdom too! If you're a reader you should definitely try the books, they add such a lot of depth to the characters and the historical asides from the author are great too.

Match Discussion: Game 28 - The Spireites (A)
I'm feeling a bit less nervous about this one than I was last month due to Chesterfield's form, but they're still near the top for a reason and we have no room for error. It's a shame about Rodders, but this'll be the chance for someone else to come in, shine and cause the home team a different set of problems.

Kairo Mitchell joins Eastleigh on loan
It's definitely a good move from his point of view. His chances have been limited, and even when he was in the goals he quickly found himself on the bench again. If he gets a run of games, he's perfectly good enough for this level, but we're aiming higher. My issue is that this leaves us a little thin in terms of numbers - we've got Langstaff, Scott and Rodders who can play up front, and Rodders is suspended on Saturday. That's more than a bit thin. Ideally we need someone we can bring off the bench when our regular strikers are tiring and who offers something a bit different when we're chasing points, but who? As @menzinho says, how many clubs will be willing to loan out strikers knowing full well they'll be warming the bench more often than not?

Highlights : Solihull v Notts
That was a close thing. We looked shaky at the back and were exposed a number of times, luckily some of Solihull's finishing was very National League. We showed a lot of character to grab the game by the scruff of the neck after going behind and found a way to win. Ardley had a bit of a whinge about the second penalty I see - to be honest it was hard to tell on the stream, bit it did look a clumsy challenge.

Match Discussion: Game 30 - The Shaymen (H)
Halifax barely had a kick, very one-sided stuff. It was a bit frustrating we couldn't add to our one goal (some of the decision-making in the final third was a bit off at times), but the 3 points are the most important thing!

Sukhi Ghuman re-engaging at #Notts? Octavian Security was #Notts shirt sponsor in the past
I remember there being talk about him taking over when Munto collapsed. I don't see how him getting involved again, maybe as a sponsor, could be a bad thing - the club is hardly sustainable right now so the more people who want to get on board the better!

Burchnall sacked at FGR
Not very surprising, he doesn't strike me as the man for a relegation battle. It'll be interesting to see where he pops up next.

Bit harsh that. He looked the real deal in the season we met Coventry in the play-offs, but he ruptured his cruciate ligament that November and didn't play again. And that was the first of three cruciate ligament injuries that have caused him to spend nearly three years out injured. He can probably count himself lucky he hasn't had to hang up his boots. Since coming back from the last one a season and a half ago he's played a grand total of 109 minutes of league football. He badly needs to kick-start his career again and now he's got the opportunity to do it in a winning team. Our recruitment team do their homework these days, so hopefully it'll pay off!

Intriguing. Beer? Sven? The return of Balint Bajner? There's nothing on Facebook.

Prediction league 22/23 round 29 - Tuesday 24 January
I'll count up the points for this tomorrow or on Friday as I worked far too long today and I've gone bozz eyed. But I'll post the next round in the meantime
