TV horror/sci-fi series 'From'
“From” is a very good series. Is the UK only just getting the first season? I won’t spoil it, but it’s made by some of the same people as “Lost”. There’s only blood and gore at times; in the first two episodes, it’s more to drum home that it’s a dangerous place. There’s more cutting away and incidents happening off-screen much later on. The first season is very good; the second is okay, but they don’t answer many questions. The third needs to start doing this; otherwise, it could end up like Jericho and be cut shorter than hoped for.

Kyle Cameron signs contract
When I learned that Kyle Cameron had signed on, I wanted to jump up and start celebrating, but I obviously didn’t. He seems like a very capable player. I know some fans have questioned his defending, but to be so good going forward at this level, something has to give. Luke Williams just needs to reign him in a bit, that’s all.

The Ashes
I’ve been checking the scores via Google; there’s no coverage here. Cricket isn’t a big sport in the US and it’s overlooked by that other bat sport that can be like watching paint dry.

Jordan Richards to Boston United
Good luck to Jordan Richards. It’s a shame some of his dad’s magic didn’t wear off onto him, but there’s still time for him to prove himself.

The search for new CEO begins
The club will appoint a smart CEO, someone who will have been interviewed and told the board their vision. I hope they have experience working with a club of Notts’ size or higher. Those are my only two wishes.

Kairo Mitchell joins Rochdale
I wish Kairo Mitchell well. I didn’t see the lad enough to make a comment on his time, but I do think he will have tried.

@Chris The features section has a white background in the area where the text is displayed. I think it’s a mistake, but it makes it hard to read when using dark mode.

Whose birthday is it today?
@Fan of Big Tone it sounds like you had a lovely meal with your significant other. I hope Mrs Tony is doing well, that is enough of a birthday wish. I'm sorry I couldn't have posted any sooner, but belated many happy returns! No need for candles once you pass 20, nobody wants a cake covered in wax. ????????

The Super Ram Appreciation Discussion
@super_ram The American language will get me here, but I appreciate you, fella. I’m just a random bit of text on a screen, but I feel like you are a friend across the ocean. I wish you nothing but happiness. As a senior member of PON, you have my respect and gratitude for being the way you are with each and every member. There’s no difference; you are kind to all, and that’s what makes you Super. In another life, we may have met in person when I lived near Alfreton.

Where are they now : 3 scholars offered pro deals April 2015
@Piethagoram, do you think Colby Bishop and Lartey Sarpong may make a move now that Jordan Richards has moved to Boston United? If it happens, there’s something mysterious about your post.

Currywurst delivered by model train at St Pauli
It’s an inventive way to deliver food. Train enthusiasts would love it, but then the food may get cold if they insist it goes round again.

Watch Jodie Jones tonight on Channel 4
I wish I could watch England games, but it’s not possible through standard means. I will wait and see if the game gets uploaded to YouTube.

Scott Arfield
Considering the players Notts has signed, I think this falls under science fiction and is a cry for attention.

Reading vs Posting: How do you manage your time on PON?
I’m curious to know how you use the Pride of Nottingham and what you enjoy about it. I’ll share my own habits and thoughts first. I try to visit most days, but sometimes I find it difficult to sit with my computer at the moment. The Pride of Nottingham is the source that keeps me feeling connected to Notts. Reading views on Notts is like having a third eye. I read what posters say and take it on board, but I also form my own opinion. I like the topics about what members are doing in their lives. I feel this gives a good sense of community. Instead of just a username you may discuss Notts with, you see their real person and I encourage these types more. I don’t have a routine as such. I will check the articles for new stories, but sometimes I go straight to my notifications. I try to post comments to at least 10 items per day. Sometimes, just out of enjoyment, I do quite a lot more. I try to add value in everything I write and I take pride in that. I enjoy seeing people reply to my discussions. It’s interesting to see and read members’ opinions. What about you? What are your habits like? How many posts do you reply to on average? Do you read the articles? Do you read content and choose not to reply? How often do you visit per day?

Notts County’s future prospects
What do you think the club’s future prospects are now that the club has made its return to the Football League? What are your personal beliefs about the club and what it has in store for the coming seasons? The board will probably want to get Notts into the Championship within 5 years’ time. I don’t think they will publicly say this, but they must fancy their chances of gaining yet another promotion this upcoming League Two campaign with 3 automatic spaces and one via the playoffs. Personally, I would like to know Notts are comfortable within League One. I think spending a few years establishing this so that the club can compete in the Championship has to be the ultimate plan. What are your thoughts?

The Weekly 4/6-11/6
Asking me about my week is a bad idea; I have already ranted in the weekend topic. My neighbour kindly took me out for a bit the other day. Me being stubborn, I made a bit of fuss when he insisted that I had to sit in a wheelchair. That was the only eventful thing; I get a lot of chest pain when I move, so I don’t. I will be glad when this is over. @Megan_Elizax, don’t worry so much about being late; you have taken the time to post something insightful and interesting. It’s a community-building post as it gets people talking about things they can relate to. What did you do at Center Parcs? Did @ARLukomski vlog it at all? Tell him I am looking forward to watching his channel in the coming season.

Weekend Plans 10th/11th June
@liampie, try to garden when it’s either early between 8-10 am or in the evening when the sun is starting to come down. You should find the sun less bothersome without it being at its warmest. @Piethagoram, that is a stunning castle; it looks fully intact! The only castles I have seen have been rebuilt or are ruins. That and fake, as there are some buildings in the States designed to look like castles. Well, what Americans think they look like. Nothing from @super_ram? I am even more disappointed now. Weekends are becoming like Groundhog Day for me; nothing much of anything. I am trying to deal with my health insurance; you know those obnoxious people at the end of the phone who are telling you that they are there to help but fail to listen? I wonder if they realise how unhelpful that is. You would think it’s a test to see how many departments you can be put through to and then back to the previous one that transferred your call. It’s like some sort of phone Super Mario, with their own aim to cause me as much stress as humanly possible. I have decided to write them a letter instead; failing to kill me via phone makes me feel slightly clever to return them 3 pages of a complaint and letter about why I am contacting them in the first place. The time it takes someone to read it won’t be nearly as long as I were on the calls. I’ve decided to pay the expense to go to hospital out of my own money privately, but I won’t be letting my insurance company think I won’t get what I am entitled to. Now my rant is over; I can say I spent most of the weekend penning the complaint and letter. Otherwise, I don’t move out of sheer delight; I don’t like to do anything right now.

Awful News
Little bits have actually made the US news, but it’s mostly narrated over coverage from other outlets and more speculation. I think it’s awful; I never thought Nottingham would be a place to experience something as dark as this. I heard the person ran over some people along with stabbings? Why…I can’t get my head around why anyone would inflict this horror onto someone.

Best dressed of the Night: Macaulay Langstaff! I bet he could win any award he put his mind to. He looks very gentleman-like in his shiny black suit.

The German Luton Town
This is a nice tale for German football; it seems money isn’t everything for the German league. Unless you aspire to win the title, then you just need to be rich like Bayern Munich and spend fees signing everyone else’s talent. I have limited interest in them, but I do like the heroics of many of the underdogs. Where are Hamburger SV and Hannover 96 these days?

McGoldrick returns to #Notts!
feel we are lucky that David McGoldrick wanted to come back. I think he will have wanted to do this for a while, but it will be good to see how he does over the course of the season. If Notts only gets one year out of him, it’s one year he may have spent with Derby scoring bags of goals. Isn’t it better that he does this for us?

Jodi Jones is looking good
Jodi Jones looks incredible by these highlights; he does have a style akin to himself. It’s very enjoyable to watch. I am looking forward to streaming more games this upcoming season!
