  1. Very saddening news, has the cause been announced or mentioned? I assume it's natural causes? Rest in Peace the great sheik.
  2. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @Sirrels County. You are right, Notts will be forever be Jimmy's Notts. ????????
  3. Hello, @Bigrossco1862. It's good to be welcoming you to the community, the PON site is great for a mixture of reasons. I am glad you have found your way to us.
  4. Hello, @MagpieLane. It's good to be greeting you to the site, I hope you enjoy PON. The site has had a surge in registrations, I think due to the messages at the bottom of articles which is great. Please do drop by and tell us about yourself, we would love to hear from you.
  5. Hello, @calw_111. Welcome to PON. Its a very useful, friendly and engaging community. Do have your say in discussions when you can.
  6. I concur with @DonnyNotts. The primary objective is certainly to remain in the league, but I believe this can be accomplished through the hard work and diligence that the players consistently demonstrate during matches. There seems to be an atmosphere of victory surrounding the club, and I have the distinct impression that our playoff triumph marks merely the start of an extraordinary adventure. Now, I am not suggesting that Notts will effortlessly dominate League Two. However, I do envision us achieving success and advancing even further when the opportune moment arises.
  7. In examining Charlotte's discussion, the situation appears quite odd, as the club is attributing blame to factors such as betting, fraud, and inadequate backing from the Mongolian Football Federation. It raises the question of where individuals source this information, particularly when it involves relatively obscure teams like this one. Furthermore, there are conflicting statements in the conversation, creating confusion. For instance, the matter is treated as a surprise given the club's respectable reputation and financial standing. Both of these factors should have mitigated any potential issues related to economic hardships or insufficient support. As such, it appears that the matter may revolve around corruption, which is certainly an unusual and unexpected development to focus on.
  8. I discover articles like this to be helpful as a fan in exile; the content and remarks offer me more excellent knowledge than I would acquire without access to such resources. I recognise that the players mentioned are Chris's individual proposals, and the club may have alternative players under consideration. Despite this, it is a well-written piece and intriguing to theorise about possible signings without delving into the world of rumours.
  9. I have access to both Costa and Starbucks, depending on which one is closer to me at the time. However, I am not a big coffee drinker. When it comes to food, I prefer Costa for their muffins and cakes.
  10. Imagine how the other team and their fans would feel. I wonder if they knew at the time or if it was thought that they had done it. It’s crazy how close league titles can be decided.
  11. I have been advised to rest due to my heart condition. Some days I feel like I would be fine if I hadn't sold my rig and retired. It seems like my body has decided it has had enough. Despite this, I remain optimistic, but I do miss the UK. I have thought about calling my brother, but we haven't spoken since the 90s. After our parents passed away, I sought a new life in America. I have had contractors in, but I am careful to keep my stress levels low. In the evenings, I sit on the porch overlooking a field that is half mine and half my neighbour's. There is no fence, just one piece of land with a stream at the bottom. My property is not particularly close to my neighbours' either; our homes are scattered all over. The closest people to me are very kind; they keep bringing me food and checking on me even when I say it's not necessary. On Wednesday, I received a call about my heart monitor, but so far there is no date for an operation. I am currently taking medication to help lower my blood pressure and relieve stress. I wish I could go for a walk without feeling pain in my chest; it is really taking its toll.
  12. Excellent, I thought you might be using a DLSR or Mirrorless camera. Incredible! Do you edit them at all? I think it's remarkable and shows the quality the human eye sees and just how good mobile camera are
  13. Hear, hear! It is truly astounding how much endeavour is put into PON. The individuals who volunteer and lend a hand to @Chris are commendable as well. The community progresses by leaps and bounds, particularly when @DangerousSausage and @Piethagoram were ensuring its stability. This resource, for me is of utmost value for Notts, with only the official site surpassing it in significance. Observing the direction it is heading toward is genuinely gratifying.
  14. Is he to play at right back, or perhaps as another winger? Alternatively, might he be a centre back comparable to Richard Brindley? I'm unfamiliar with this young man; consequently, I'm unable to evaluate his abilities. Nonetheless, I am curious about how he would integrate into the Notts system.
  15. The issues stemmed primarily from insufficient defence rather than the striking partnership. I may be mistaken, but was Jon Stead starting ahead of Kristian Dennis? Regardless, I wish him the best of luck.
  16. I am delighted and thrilled for Tiernan Brooks; considering his young age, he must be eager to participate in matches, especially since internationals are a unique opportunity that not all young goalkeepers encounter. I concur with those who believe that if he is skilled enough for Ireland's U21s, he should be prepared to see some action with Notts County. What are your thoughts on Tiernan, @Dripsey3?
  17. Hello, @Stuart jackson. It's great to be welcoming you to PON.
  18. You capture exceptional photographs, @Piethagoram! Your talent for discerning high-quality images is truly noteworthy. May I inquire as to the camera you use for your photography?
  19. Fair play to Sheffield Wednesday; I think they deserved the win out of the two teams. I caught the highlights, and both teams really went for it.
  20. He was a good player on his day and scored some excellent goals for Notts. I wish him well if the move happens. He deserves to be somewhere that appreciates him and can allow him to flourish.
  21. Yes, I will be putting an equal amount into all the leagues. The main focus will be on League Two, but I will be checking out other clubs.
  22. I wish the young midfielder all the best with his move to Gateshead. I hope he keeps finding time to improve and enjoy his football.
  23. It would seem we will see just how well he will do for Alfreton Town with the friendly. I certainly wish him well. I think with him having joined, the friendly against Alfreton will be more enjoyable.
  24. I will have to keep an eye out on it. The thing that makes it hard for US residents is that the BBC iPlayer struggles to work alongside a VPN, so access to UK content isn’t quite there.
  25. Having seen that Sam Slocombe has agreed to a new 2-year deal, I am pleased. I have been hoping for further news on the other players, but it is excellent news that Sam has re-signed.
