  1. Long may it continue, because Meadow Lane has been crying out for seasons like this for years. The stability and the way the club is moving forward would bring a smile to Jimmy Sirrel and Jack Wheeler.
  2. It didn’t seem like a very serious trial. I assumed he was either from the academy or training with us. Good luck to the lad in getting the game time needed to gain experience. He would be behind in the pecking order here.

  8. The obvious name to me would be Mark Ellis.
  9. I listen to the coverage even at games, so I am more than happy and familiar with the voices. I think Notts are lucky that they have people who speak well and don’t go off the rails like some of the names from the Reds’ coverage. It’s always biased, and the volume is unnecessarily loud.
  10. The players were all above an acceptable level; there was no one lacking effort, and the team performed well. Might I suggest that we start giving a general score for the team’s performance as a whole?
  11. I thought it had caught a slight deflection. I couldn’t tell at the time if he had thought to fake a cross but decided to go for goal. In the highlights, it did look like a cross, but I am happy for Jodi Jones.
  12. Welcome! Its good to see another new member. Hello, @Sir Magpie.
  13. Welcome! And hello, @NorthPie.
  14. I fully agree with John Bostock. The end game is the goal. Push on, Notts. You Pies!
  15. Today was a test of patience for the lads, and us supporters too. The Shrimps were on the backfoot almost throughout, relying heavily on their defence to get at least one point out of what was clearly a lacklustre offensive display. You have to accept such tactics as part of the game, especially in away fixtures. Our lads tried their best to break through the barricade but fell slightly short. That being said, it's only game 3 and we already saw a lot of positives to build on. The defence was meticulous in its duty, ensuring a clean sheet. And while the attack was yet to fire on all cylinders, their effort cannot be undermined. With a few tactical tweaks from Williams, we have every reason to expect a much more fruitful result in the next matchup.
  16. I have faith in McGoldrick as well. His experience will definitely make a difference in the game.
  17. I don’t read too much into friendlies; a draw will suit both teams, and now the real work begins.
  18. It’s nice to be welcoming a young lad just starting his football journey. I agree that the loan makes sense and that it leaves options open for Luke Williams. Fees can’t keep being paid for players without us making money on those who depart. If he can contribute to us getting back to League One, great, but otherwise finishing strongly is enough. Ollie Tipton sounds like the ideal loan signing.
  19. It's sad news, when I heard about Trevor Francis's passing I couldn't quite take it in. Rest in Peace.
  20. Its nice to see four new members all arrive on the same day, welcome to PoN.
  21. Hello, @George L. Welcome to PoN, I look forward to reading your thoughts on Notts.
  22. Hello. welcome to PoN @JustLikeJuve.
  23. This is a welcomed piece of news. It's evident that Tipton has the potential for great things and our beloved Notts would offer the perfect nurturing grounds for his development. With his versatility, he'd provide fresh tactical options and dynamism to our set up. Let's back him up and witness him flourish.
  24. I'm really impressed by McGoldrick's mindset. His profound understanding of the game, the importance of fitness, and continuous learning is truly inspiring. Also, his willingness to mentor the younger players is commendable. Season's looking promising already.
  25. Yes, Tony Agana is a name that fans of the 90s will remember.
