One for us older ‘pies
I think all supporters will gain, but it’s nice to see more improvements to the ground like this. Some stewards might grumble that some people are taking too long to move. Just be patient and wait.

Future Prospects: Recruitment, Defensive Fixes, and Trust in Luke Williams
Recruitment will solve most problems. It’s not too hard and some players might leave. I believe we can manage with the team we have, but we need changes. Any new additions will push someone down the order. I value all players and it’s sad to see anyone go, but to improve, there are one or two defenders who aren’t necessary.

Bolstering the defence
I wouldn’t turn down either, but I don’t think the odds are very high. I think Forest might not be too concerned about their wages now that they’re in the Premier League, but they would likely want to protect their valuable assets by not letting them drop too far down the league. I think there was more hope that someone would come in for Harry Arter towards the end of his playing career if he performed well with us.

I’m Not Fond of It, But I See the Reasoning
I’ve noticed this isn’t the first time it’s happened, and I wish the club would ensure that two post-match responses are never missed in a row. I don’t mind losing, but when the club doesn’t allow the player giving a post-match response to answer direct questions that may arise, it seems like excessive protection. It’s more about the club not wanting the players to admit we’ve lost or are performing poorly.

Where are they now : Calvin Miller
He’s not a poor player, but there are certainly better ones out there. I think some of our fans prioritise flair over ability. If a player can show off and produce a few moments of brilliance, it often seems to overshadow their weaknesses. I wish Calvin Miller all the best, but I’m relieved he’s not with us.

Scouting Dossier : Harrogate v Notts
I wonder if the club is taking note of some of these players mentioned here. I’m hoping we can secure a reliable defender in January.

Warnock retrospective 1990
Even then, Neil Warnock comes across as a genuine bloke. It’s unfortunate he didn’t stay here longer.

Notts County’s Luke Williams on Team Performance: ‘We Cannot Be So Scared to Play Football’
It’s never smooth sailing. I sympathise with Luke Williams, but he’s making errors too. I concur with the suggestions to stabilise the back three and attempt to resolve the issues. If the players aren’t receptive, he needs to replace them with those willing to make the necessary changes. The first choice should be to work with a consistent back three if possible.

Cuts at Nottingham City Council
The Tories seem to consistently make life more difficult for people, but the Nottingham Council isn’t blameless either. They rescue companies that are losing money, funds that could be put to better use elsewhere. Robin Hood Energy is one such company that received inadequate support multiple times despite its constant financial losses.

time to have a back three of cbs
I believe we should be fielding players who are trained as centre backs, rather than just slotting them into the position to give them playing time. Richard Brindley looked competent in the centre when he was first placed there, but we keep changing his position. I feel there needs to be some consistency.

Where are they now - Michael Doyle
Best of luck to Michael Doyle. I understand the remarks about him being a football mercenary, but he should excel as a manager as long as he doesn’t abandon his post at the first sign of success.

new led advertising
They can be quite distracting and, to be honest, it’s silly to have the same advert looping all around the stadium. I hope Notts opts for a more traditional look, with different adverts that switch positions. I just don’t want to see a whole row of the same advert.

Turkish League Football Halted
Why have they put the season on hold? Pausing the season gives the impression there’s going to be a thorough investigation. Is there some sort of corruption happening?

Match Discussion: Game 22 - Sulphurites (A)
No Kyle Cameron? That seems like a significant change in the squad. I hope it turns out to be a good decision. Since Cameron isn’t even on the bench, I don’t know if he’s injured or just been told to rest. I would have made John Bostock the captain, but let’s hope Macaualay Langstaff can energise the squad and score a goal or two.

Lewis Macari....
I’m glad we’ve signed him. I believe he can develop and become a valuable player for us. He’s done well when given the opportunity, he’s a bit small, but that’s no issue if you can defend. It’s interesting to see him left out of today’s team against Harrogate, not even making the bench.

Conor Keeley signs!
I’ve honestly had enough of hearing about Conor Keeley. He’s been touted as our saviour, but most of those saying this probably haven’t seen him play. I haven’t either, so I’m not too disappointed. I hope those who hype up Keeley stop talking about players until they actually sign. It’s frustrating to see our current players overlooked while fans focus on every rumoured player as if our squad is out of date.

I’ve been capped by PoN
I appreciate this. It truly represents what PON stands for, and it's great to witness such things.

Where are they now? Alan Sheehan
I'd completely overlooked him. He's the sort of former player the club should consider inviting back for a match, given his intriguing seasons with us.

EFL to clamp down on Matchday Vloggers
Ultimately, it’s all about money, not the fans. Sky has had a significant impact on football, both good and bad. The rise of vloggers can be overwhelming given their numbers, but that shouldn’t be a reason to exclude them. They should also be allowed to earn money, considering the work involved, and I agree that it will likely be reinvested into the club. What @ARLukomski does for Notts, in my opinion, is attract younger fans and engage those living abroad. It’s unfortunate that the EFL is being unsporting about it.

message to readers and inactive members of pon
Such is the nature of football, fans come and go. The crowd where I sit has changed significantly since I first started attending games, so it’s no surprise that PON has experienced similar changes. I hope the members who have left know they would be welcomed back and encouraged to share their thoughts.

An escape from North Korea, an incredible read
It’s heartening to hear Mr Kim’s story and how he overcame the odds. However, it’s disheartening to think about those who fail or are executed for trying to escape. When a country denies its citizens freedom or the right to leave, it’s clear there are serious problems.

Where are they now - Enzio Boldewijn
I understand the sentiments about Enzio. He was a player who could be exasperating to watch. Perhaps he needed a manager who could inspire him and provide honest feedback? When he first signed, I thought he would be a more impactful player.
