18 July Matlock Town v Notts pre season friendly
Matlock isn’t exactly an exciting team to face. It must be for the fringe players. I’d rather play against Carlton Town, Basford Town or similar teams.

The Nottingham Post Celebrates Notts County Fans at Wembley: ‘Mag-nificent Supporters’
They don’t seem to write much about Notts though. It’s easy to put pictures together, but I’d be interested to see if Notts made the front page or even had a decent section near the back.

Ross Fitzsimons
Ross Fitzsimons always has such an angry expression on the field. I wonder what he’s thinking.

Ruben Rodrigues and the Notts lads
Ruben Rodrigues is really living up to the phrase ‘drunk in love’ with his phone! ???? But seriously mate, take it easy on the booze and social media. We care about you.

Notts County’s Head Coach Luke Williams Shares Joy of Promotion with Notts County Fans
The celebrations at Wembley and in Nottingham were truly special. It’s great to see the team and fans connecting and celebrating together.

Langstaff...top flight interest?
Macaulay Langstaff is ours and he’s not going anywhere. I believe Notts will get another season out of the striker. I think he’ll have a more modest goal tally in League Two but still high for where we are - at least 20 goals, easily!

incredible community!
@liampie, many of the reasons why you enjoy being here are the same for me. Everyone adds so much to the site that it’s great fun to be a part of it. I’m glad that you find it to be a place where you enjoy spending time. I’m sure those who know you appreciate everything you do for the site.

Notes from the kids
The scenes of the homecoming were incredible. I’m not bothered if it means we can’t do something within the city centre. Money is tight and I don’t want Alan Hardy having anything to do with the club after all he’s done. He should continue supporting Liverpool since he has double standards.

and absolute class from Ryan Reynolds too
I appreciate how Ryan Reynolds is paying compliments to Notts. I believe he genuinely means what he says. It’s great promotion for the club and shows that someone in his position respects our club. We should be grateful for that.

That Bostock penalty....
It was an unfortunate penalty, but I don’t hold it against John Bostock. I thought he played exceptionally well on the pitch and his goal helped us get to the shoot-out. Absolutely no blame or negativity should be directed his way.

Old member, new start
Hello, @Fan of Big Tone. Welcome back to PON. We would love for you to join in and share your thoughts on discussions. It’s always interesting to hear what other Notts fans have to say. If you’re feeling nervous, please know that you’re among friends here. It’s also great to see @Super lively again. He’s a good person who needed some cheering up.

Aaron Nemane
Aaron Nemane has been outstanding all season. A few poor games, which everyone has, don’t diminish his overall contributions. He’s such a quick and exciting player that teams find it difficult to play against him. I hope he stays with us!

Reading FC interested in Luke Williams?
Managers who gain promotion usually only leave if they believe they will struggle or if the move is too good to turn down. Taking on a role at Reading would require much more work than what Luke Williams has had to do with Notts. It's realistic to think that it would take a lot for the board and club to allow him to leave. The difference between Burchnall and Williams is that one could be replaced without much fuss, while Williams would be much harder to replace at this level.

Notts County’s Return to Football League: A Story of Triumph and Transformation
There is a good chance that the club could achieve back-to-back promotions. The biggest test will be recruitment in the summer. The question is whether the club can sign good League 2 level players. The club has already signed players who are better than the National League and most of them are good enough for the next step. There are even a handful of players who would be good in League One, which should be the club's target for the next 2-3 seasons.

Notts County triumphs over Chesterfield and reclaims title as world’s oldest football league club
It's disappointing that the club hasn't put up a match report yet. While they may be busy, a report is a crucial part of a media team's job. It should have been written during the game and posted immediately after the final penalty was taken. However, it's good to know that the report is to the point and detailed.

Match Discussion: Play Off Final - The Spireites
The game had its highs and lows for both teams. While some Notts fans may view the entire performance as poor, it's important to consider the performance of other teams such as Chesterfield. Fitzsimons, in particular, had a comedy hour with his blunders. He went from being decent to a crumbling fool. Notts had spells where they looked likely to win and times where they struggled, but that's just football. There were plenty of chances for them to win. It's not realistic to expect Notts to play as if they were at Meadow Lane. The performance was good enough to win and the penalties were all well taken. It was to our benefit that Fitzsimons couldn't catch a cold or save a penalty.

Wrexham owners at Wembley?
Some fans act more immaturely than my younger cousins. It’s embarrassing that we are preparing to go to Wembley and all some fans can do is complain or moan about someone wishing us luck. It’s amazing how some fans just like to be critical of things rather than being happy about where our club is.

How do you cope with being a Notts County fan in a city dominated by Forest fans?
@Chris College for me is fantastic because we all just talk about football without any bias or sarcastic remarks. It’s just some of the wild life in the city centre that can be problematic.

Celebrating Excellence: The Winners of the Pride of Nottingham 2022/2023 Awards!
All the winners truly deserve the praise. I think Matt Palmer has been outstanding and Macaulay Langstaff is simply superb.

Match Discussion: Play Off Final - The Spireites
Losing to a rival like Chesterfield would be disappointing, especially after all the questionable actions they took during the COVID pandemic. I want our players to be a powerful force on the field, working together and seizing any opportunities that arise. On paper and in terms of statistics, we have the stronger squad, but our work rate and focus on the day must match our potential.

How do you cope with being a Notts County fan in a city dominated by Forest fans?
I’ve had both positive and negative experiences, but I would say that it’s just as bad with supporters of any club, not just some Forest fans. I’ve travelled to college before and encountered Manchester United fans in Nottingham who were consistently offensive towards Notts.

From a two-goal deficit to Wembley Final: Notts County’s dramatic win through Aden Baldwin's eyes
It was just our misfortune to be forced into conceding due to the high defence and then fail to deal with a simple pass across the goal @super_ram. The second pass put Aden Baldwin in a precarious position. Witnessing it unfold in person only amplifies the disappointment, but undoubtedly those watching at home were leaping for joy along with the majority of fans in the KOP when the goal was scored.
