  1. The Notts fan who attempted the crossbar challenge earlier this season slipped as he went to kick the ball, causing it to move only a short distance. He landed on his back, got up, repositioned the ball and then skied it well over. It was very funny! He took it in good spirits.
  2. I’ve noticed that this has sparked some ridiculous remarks on Twitter. I’m not convinced that Ryan Reynolds is making everything about himself. He has done some commendable work since taking over Wrexham and their supporters understand this due to the improvements they’ve seen. In my opinion, some of it is just a combination of nonsense and jealousy. I have respect for Ryan and Rob for demonstrating unity and I hope they continue to do so because football is about coming together.
  3. Jodi Jones is not just a super substitute; he is good enough to be starting. I hope Luke Williams realizes that Adam Chicksen’s performance has not been the same since Joel Taylor left. While I like Chicksen, it is difficult to justify his inclusion in the starting line-up when his dip in form is not related to fitness but rather his performance. I believe Jodi would have a greater impact and hope he gets the chance to play at Wembley.
  4. Boreham Wood’s behaviour during the match was highly unprofessional. They seemed fully capable of playing without resorting to such antics, which only served to provoke the Notts players. Kyle Cameron appeared to react negatively at times, confronting their players on several occasions. This kind of behaviour should be ignored, and I believe players like John Bostock dealt with it well. Ruben Rodrigues was largely absent from the game and seemed to use his injury as an excuse for missing opportunities. While he may have injured his ankle, one doesn’t simply start running again. He needs to put an end to that. In fact, I thought we performed much better without him on the pitch. Sam Austin proved to be a player who made an effort to advance the play. Winning the match 3-2 in our favour seemed unbelievable and I am thrilled with the result. However, Boreham Wood’s conduct left a bad impression and they need to work on their professionalism on the pitch.
  5. It was absolutely amazing to see Notts come back and score 2 goals to even the score. When Ruben Rodrigues missed the penalty, I was worried it wasn’t going to be our day. But despite all the emotions, Notts kept their cool and pushed for the win.
  6. I'm excited for the game, but I'm starting to feel anxious. When we lost to Swindon Town in League Two, I didn't think I could feel that emotional about another Notts game. But if Boreham Wood manages to win, it would be even worse. Some of the best moments I've experienced as a fan have been in the National League. I know it's not all bad, but I'm worried we might lose some key players if we miss out. I hope the players are focused and determined to avoid what happened against Dagenham & Redbridge and Wrexham. I won't turn on the players and will support them no matter what.

  8. Please join in, @Canadian. It’s lovely to see another member returning to the site.
  9. We have been the favourites for promotion all season, and finishing second with a record number of points doesn’t change that. Luke Williams has done a great job of playing things down and keeping the pressure off the players. His mind games are a clever part of his management skills, but we all know that we are expected to go up no matter where we finished in the league. That’s the reality of our situation and we can’t change that. What we can do is focus on our preparation for Sunday and make sure we are ready for the biggest game of our lives. Williams will be making sure the players are working hard on their tactics and fitness, while also keeping them calm and confident. It’s not easy to balance those things, but that’s what makes him a good manager.
  10. Yes, I used to think Kyle Wootton was irreplaceable, but Macaulay Langstaff proved me wrong. He’s not the same type of player as Wootton, but he fits perfectly in our system. That shows how good our recruitment is, finding players that suit our style and philosophy. 42 goals in a single season is unbelievable. He deserves all the awards, praise and recognition that come with it. What a legend!
  11. Thank you @nightOWL for your kind words and sportsmanship. It’s nice to see some class and respect among rival fans. Your gesture is much appreciated. All the best to you and your team as well.
  12. John Bostock gets my vote. His shot was just perfectly placed beyond a very experienced keeper.
  13. Macaulay Langstaff has been by far the best signing of the season. His goals, attitude, hunger and teamwork make it hard to suggest anyone else remotely comes close. However, Sam Austin does deserve praise for how he’s worked throughout the season.
  14. @JohnTheBost Welcome to our website! We’re glad to have you as a new member and we hope you enjoy your time here.
  15. I was torn between voting for Macaulay Langstaff and Ruben Rodrigues, but in the end, I decided to go with someone else who has been more consistent and has shown quality throughout the season. It’s better than being forced to give praise to a donkey or someone who doesn’t deserve any honourable mentions like the team that relegated us to the National League.
  16. The Woking vs Bromley game was definitely a better match than the Barnet vs Boreham Wood game. Woking have been the standout team out of the four and they deserved to win this game. The penalty they gave away was a lucky break for Bromley, who have looked empty of goal. Woking played well and deserved the win.
  17. Alright, voting for all these awards and stuff can be a proper tricky job, but I'm all in and ready to give my two pennies worht! It's important to recognise the hard work and dedication of the players in games and members who make this site what it is, and I'm up for the challenge of choosing who deserves those accolades. Let's get it done!
  18. As of now, it seems like the competition is primarily between three members, but there is still ample time for the situation to change. Despite the circumstances, I cast my vote for the individual who I believe deserves the honour, even though they haven't been posting as frequently lately. Whenever they do post, I find it to be of exceptional quality and well worth reading. Their contributions may be sporadic, but the value of their work speaks for itself. It's my sincere hope that others will recognise the quality of their posts and that their contributions will be acknowledged and rewarded accordingly.
  19. The Eastleigh game was an absolute pleasure to watch, and that's where I've cast my vote. From the first whistle to the final minutes, the game was full of action and excitement, with both teams putting up a good fight. The energy and enthusiasm of the players were contagious, and I found myself completely absorbed in the match. The tense moments, the nail-biting finishes, and the stunning goals made the game a memorable one.
  20. I'm uncertain whether the player being referred to is Chris Iwelumo. Although I recall his name being associated with football, I'm not entirely certain if he ever played for a United.
  21. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for warm weather and favourable conditions at Meadow Lane. The atmosphere there becomes extra special when everything falls into place. On paper, Notts should have the upper hand against York and if they bring their A-game, it shouldn’t be a difficult match. If Notts applies pressure, York is bound to make mistakes. An early goal and a good rhythm could result in a high-scoring game for Notts. Ending the season on a high note is important and while an abundance of goals would be great, a win alone is a satisfactory result. I hope York City puts up a good fight, but it’s doubtful they’ll pose much of a threat to Notts’ goal.
  22. Adam Chicksen has been a totally different player this season. It seems that Luke Williams has the ability to instruct what he wants and this has potentially helped Chicksen with his own movement and gameplay. Scoring so many goals is a testament to his hard work and dedication. He must be feeling settled to perform so well and the new deal is just great news for him and the team.
  23. Although I haven’t experienced much success from Notts County, the few good seasons where we are in the promotion places are amazing. It hurts that Wrexham beat us at their ground, but it doesn’t change anything. I said I wouldn’t be negative about the defeat and that it needed to be accepted. With this in mind, I congratulate Wrexham for winning the league title. I wish them all the success in the future, just not against Notts. I hope they manage to return to the Championship. If Gareth Bale signs for them, that would be insane!
  24. It’s so great to hear that Adam Chicksen has decided to extend his stay at Notts County! ???? It’s clear that Luke Williams has had a huge impact on his decision. Chicksen’s performance this season has been amazing, and it’s exciting to see what the future holds for both him and the club. With Williams as the boss and Chicksen on the pitch, I can’t wait to see what they’ll achieve in the next two years!
  25. OMG, I haven’t laughed this hard for ages! ???? The video of Luke Williams trying to direct the deer to exit the training ground is hilarious. Even the comments here have had me in tears! I guess you could say that Luke Williams is not only great at coaching players but also pretty good at coaching deer. ????
