Match Discussion: Game 3 - The Mariners (H)
This is a very important game, early in our season. We’ve had two draws so far, and both league performances have been of a good standard. Losing to Grimsby would be disappointing, especially at home. We need to make it harder for teams to score against us at Meadow Lane. Hopefully, this will start to be put right. I think it’s a matter of Notts being much more clinical.

Dropshipping
Fair play to anyone who can take something and sell it. It’s no different from market traders. The only issue I have is if people aren’t paying taxes or are doing other side hustles when they shouldn’t be. Otherwise, it’s just smart business.

Fake Football Merchandise.
It’s not official. I don’t believe any of the money goes directly towards Notts either.

Notts County Head Coach Stuart Maynard Reflects on Heartbreaking League Cup Defeat
I would hate for the defeat to cast any ugly shadows over our next league game on Sunday against Fleetwood Town. It’s typical of cup games to be a game of two halves. Yes, it’s frustrating to give away a 2-0 lead. We have much to learn from it and need to remember that the players still need time to adjust to the new signings. Pulling the game back ourselves shows we had spirit and didn’t just collapse. It’s very easy in football to fall apart when you concede 3 goals after leading for so long.

New Signing Jacob Bedeau Thrilled to Be Part of Notts County's Journey
He’ll be League Two’s Vincent Kompany at this rate. He had a great debut. For me, he would have been my Man of the Match. I thought he worked hard, kept his head down and focused, moved the ball well, and looked to get involved where possible. His presence was very determined. I agree he did right by clearing the ball out and also by acknowledging his teammates.

Stuart Maynard Praises Defensive Display as Notts County Draw with Tranmere
Good insight from Stuart Maynard. The draw was a good result, and there is a lot to take from the game. I think Maynard got his ideas across, and the training seems to be working nicely towards getting the players to settle in together. Very pleased to see the defence acknowledged, but I do think the draw was the fair result.

New signings coming soon?
I don’t want Notts to get carried away with chasing additional players for the sake of it. I doubt this will be the case, but I think the squad just needs a striker who is different from Jatta. Someone with a turn of speed, who can dribble the ball and finish chances by attacking from beyond the last defender.

Will Swan to Notts?
Will Swan seems to have an eye for goal and looks capable of being moulded into a player that could thrive with our style of play. He did well with Mansfield, but I think the fact that Charlie McParland didn’t reply is simply because he’s employed by Mansfield. It wouldn’t be wise for him to speculate or comment without their acknowledgment. I do think @menzinho makes an interesting point. Mansfield are only thinking about the short term, and a lot of clubs do this. We have been guilty of this at times in the past. Luther Wildin and Colby Bishop have both proved themselves to be good players if they are played. For clubs that are constantly building and thinking about the future, opportunities like this potential move could open up the chance to make a solid signing.

The Much Maligned Magpie.
Interesting information, @Wheelbarrow repair man. I have seen magpies attack each other. They also fight a lot with large crows, which can be unsettling to watch as they both seem to try to kill each other.

Notts County Mobile App
It took me countless times to log in to the mobile app. I never changed the details as they are automatically saved when I first entered them. I just persisted and eventually, I was hit with a welcome page and an option about my account. I do like the app. It’s much better than the website at the moment, even though it’s buggy. All this should have been tested with a small group of fans who are good with technology. Considering the site and apps are in use with other clubs, it makes you wonder why we’re having issues.

Match Discussion: Game 1 - Super White Army (A)
It was a good game. I thought Tranmere started lively and put our defence under some pressure, but we slowly grew into the game. It became clear that they wanted to break the play down with needless challenges that stopped our momentum. Notts looked bright but struggled with how Tranmere had set up. Both teams showed class when it came to defending. I wasn’t bored. In fact, I look forward to the potential of future away games.

Cedwyn Scott Eager to Embrace New Role as Notts County’s Number 9
Great player. I think he will be used more due to our current squad size. I have always wanted to see him start more games. He had to wait at the beginning of last season to make that happen, then unfortunately he got injured and missed a lot of the campaign. I hope he’s okay and ready to score goals for us as we push for promotion to League One.

Stuart Maynard Confident Ahead of Notts County's Season Opener Against Tranmere Rovers
I hope the squad performs well and Notts starts the season brightly. A good result could help fans warm to Stuart Maynard. We have the squad, and defensively we look better. It will be interesting to see our first proper run out.

I’m convinced that later in life, I won’t be able to afford to retire. So, by all means, please enjoy yours because it’s well-earned. With all this mayhem going on in the world, it’s best that you can enjoy retirement.

Don’t rub retirement in our faces. Work is exhausting, and it leaves me with little to talk about. I can’t wait for college to start again. ????

The Magpie’s Eye: Views from the Heart of Notts County’s Black & White Army
I’ve been meaning to do these more often. I wasn’t too concerned about the lack of interest or comments. For me, it’s something to build on.

Opposition View: Tranmere Rovers’ Pre-Season Insights and Expectations
I think 10th is a realistic target, but I suspect many of their fans, just like ours, will be hoping for the play-offs. There’s always one team that starts strong at the beginning of the season, and this will be one of the most important games on the opening day. Two historic clubs, both big League Two teams. It should be a good game for sure.

Match Discussion: PSF - The Pilgrims (A)
I’m not overly concerned, but I do believe we need to concentrate more on our first team in the match against Peterborough. From what I’ve heard, the game could have ended in a draw, which might have been a fairer outcome. However, we shouldn’t place too much importance on friendly matches. It’s worth noting that some supporters are already criticising Stuart Maynard again, hinting that he might be the first manager to lose his job this season.

Colby Bishop
It might be a bit harsh to suggest that relying on the NHS is a gamble, but I don’t wish to quibble over details. I’d simply like to highlight that the unfortunate deaths of previous players have led football to take seriously the potential risk of heart defects or conditions from playing. This focus is indeed beneficial, especially as it’s becoming increasingly common to witness players collapsing during matches, which is truly distressing to see. As someone who doesn’t play football, I’m unsure how doctors or the NHS would detect a potential heart condition in me without any symptoms or prior incidents. Perhaps in the future, routine check-ups will be implemented, but I understand that it’s a complex issue. I’m not aware of the costs involved, but we should certainly be grateful for the presence of the NHS.

Chris & Alex Reedtz: Five Years In Charge
Since taking over, the Reedtz brothers have done a remarkable job. The club is gradually becoming more appealing to football enthusiasts and the people of Nottingham, drawing in new fans and expanding the supporter base. Their primary aim is to increase Notts’ off-pitch profits while enhancing its on-pitch attractiveness.
