Jodi Jones released from Oxford Utd
It was mentioned by Ollie in the press conference that his loan deal ends after Saturdays, so he should be OK. i would sign him straight away, but look to play him as one of the front three rather than a wingback.

Guess Who? The Notts County Edition
@CliftonMagpiebeen offline for most of the week, so only just got time to look at the question properly! ???? Fair play to @KB1862thats a great guess and one I definitely would not have gotten from the first clue.

Guess Who? The Notts County Edition
OK, I’ll hopefully put everyone out of their misery. ???? Was he considered short for his position? Was it Steve Cherry’s understudy who ended up playing a string of games because of Chez’s form? I’m pretty sure it’s Paul Reece, formerly of Stoke, Grimsby and later Oxford Utd. It’s the post 2004-09 sides I struggle with as it’s a time I’ve tried to eradicate from my mind! ????

Play-offs it is then
We haven't beaten Bromley either chap, so it' sod's law that in order to go up we may very well have to beat two sides that we have only managed to draw with so far this season. Both BW and Bromley are horrible sides to have to play with their time wasting and tactics and I hate the thought of possibly having to play both. Bromley are also unbeaten in 10 (since Wrexham) so Chesterfield will have to be at the top of their game also to win.

Guess Who? The Notts County Edition
You've just dropped an enormous clue and it has practically confirmed who I think he is. I'll give the game away a little and hope for half a point ???? Was he born in Nottingham, and did he used to play for a team that has beaten us in the National league playoffs and another that comes from a University city (And if it's not him, I'm going to look a prat! )?

Guess Who? The Notts County Edition
I shall step back a little to see if anyone else can guess him, but I’ve got a strong feeling I may know who he is if I have got his position correct.

[Vote] Pride of Nottingham's 2022-23 Goal of the Season
My favourite was Taylor's strike against Maidenhead in the first game of the season, I'm also surprised (amazed at who from) Mitchell's goal away against Boreham Wood didn't make the list as it was a good turn and strike from outside the area. Both were higher quality goals than most of those listed.

Guess Who? The Notts County Edition
I can only think of one player who it may be, but won’t guess his name yet. Did he only play a couple of handfuls of games for Notts?

Guess Who? The Notts County Edition
Ex Magpie from possibly Long Eaton? And helped Aston Villa win the League Cup in 1996? Eventually came out of retirement to play for a Nottinghamshire non league side that bears the same name as a WWII beach evacuation site? Could it be Drapes? I was initially thinking between him and Peter Reid, but there was nothing that impressive about Reidy's displays, although he did help us beat Forest in 94.

Guess Who? The Notts County Edition
Then it can only be Albert Ironmonger as he had two footballing brothers and made around 600 appearances for us.

Congratulations Wrexham
Congratulations deserved as they have earnt it over the course of a gruelling season. Spent a lot of money (which they can afford to do) on players too good for this division but it has worked out well for them. Gutted it wasn't us, but you can't fault them as they have set a new record by some distance. It is just a travesty that the one year that Notts have produced such an amazing team, one team has proven themselves to be (a fraction) better.

Play-offs it is then
I don't think we need to avoid anyone if you look at the table, we've not yet been beaten by any of these teams and there is a reason we are currently 25 points clear of them. Of the ones we are likely to play, you would think Chesterfield will give us the toughest game as they are the nearest to our style of play and they have strengthened since we last played them. That and by the nature of it being a potential local Derby final would suggest them as our main challenges. Boredom Wood will make for the worst playoff because of their tactics, so I'm hoping Barnet will do them in the first playoff game.

Where have you lived?
You missed one of the few highlights of a truly dreadful season! I remember going to Burnley on the following Saturday, optimistic that we had finally turned the corner, we lost 2-1......

Match Discussion: Game 45 - The Stones (A)
Don't Maidstone play on a plastic pitch? Not our strongest surface but we should still be too good for them no matter what team we put out. I wouldn't risk Langstaff or Ruben as they are going to be too vital for the playoffs, we have plenty of other options that can play in those positions and need to get minutes into their legs.

Where have you lived?
19 miles away now after being born and raised in Southwell, 14 miles away from the ground ????. Never wandered far as not had the need to, but did once have a long 3 month holiday in New Zealand during the football season, that's almost living away! ????

notts announce voting for the 2022/23 player of the season
Matty Palmer for me also, he is the linchpin to our gameplan and executes it effortlessly. I've never seen him have a bad game and he's like the Duracell Bunny as his performances just go on and on, he doesn't ever appear to need a rest. I'd also add Sam Slocombe to the shortlist as he has had a very good season and has rewarded the faith LW has shown in him.
