  1. This will be my computer’s screensaver for some time! It’s good to see a nice team photo again, as they never seem to be released or bothered with.
  2. Hello, welcome to the site @David Shipston.
  3. Hello, welcome to the site @Steveyward.
  4. The pitch conditions seemed to have caused some challenges for the team, but it's essential to remember that every new season brings different obstacles. I'm feeling quite positive for the coming season. Onwards and upwards, COYP!
  5. I wish him well too. Although, I did think that him leaving us for FGR showed little gratitude for us giving him a chance in English football. He claimed to be thankful, but when he left, it didn’t seem like it. He refused to do post-match interviews, perhaps because he knew in his heart that he was leaving and wanted to use the fans as a scapegoat. He got what he deserved at FGR, but now he has the chance to restart. From there, I hope he learns and does well. The appointment of Luke Williams and his achievements make me less bothered about the situation.
  6. Ollie Tipton sounds like a very good signing, even though it’s just a loan. Ideally, the season won’t see him recalled, but he fits in with what we need and the fact that he’s young just gives the club options. I trust Luke Williams and the recruitment team to bring in the right players so that we can better our chances of gaining promotion again.
  7. Good luck to Jack Bearne. If he can become a star with Greenock Morton, there’s no reason why he wouldn’t be able to climb back up the leagues. He sounds like a very promising young player who needs first-team football. I hope he gets it.
  8. Welcome, @Paul Carr, @Jeff Johnson, @Gordon and @AJ_Pie. PON is a fantastic site and would be better if you joined in with us.
  9. Hello, @George L. Welcome to the site. I recently joined myself and I find the site to be a breath of fresh air.
  10. I must say, this is brilliant news. The addition of Ollie Tipton to our team will not only bolster our defence but also, given his versatility, provide new tactical options. It's encouraging to know that he's been with the Wolves since he was 11 and has shown significant potential, earning a contract till 2025. His experience as a leader in both the under 18s and under 21s Wolves sides also shows his leadership skills and potential. Additionally, the fact that this is his first loan move away from Wolves shows the trust they have in us to help him develop. His ambition to be a part of something special and desire for promotion are testament to his hunger to succeed. His approach to the game, highlighted by his defensive solidity and offensive creativity, promises to be an asset for the team.
  11. The Non-League paper, it seems that they have made a mistake with their heading. It should be something about Notts struggling to gain space to do much at all. ????
  12. It’s excellent to see that Notts has appointed a new CEO. I am hopeful that he can hit the ground running and make the club a place where staff want to be. The more enjoyable the behind-the-scenes environment is, the more likely it is that good staff members won’t leave. Although he has big shoes to fill, I think he will do just fine.
  13. Welcome to this fine site, @JustLikeJuve. Hello from me too.
  14. To their credit, they haven’t guaranteed it or claimed they have some inside knowledge. The last time they were putting those claims out, how many did we sign? None? Well, as for a speculation article, this is fine.
  15. This group seems remarkably unified, spirited, and happy. I’m intrigued by what Tobi could bring to post-match interviews given his infectious energy. It appears that the group is working well together and has a positive attitude. Tobi’s energy could be effective on the pitch and provide insight into the team’s mindset.
  16. Rest in peace, Trevor Francis. You were an incredibly talented player. Francis was a legendary footballer who played for some of the best clubs in England. Unfortunately, Notts missed out with signing him but I can appreciate his ability.
  17. Cameron Gregory keeping Nemane at bay saved us from being at the disadvantage early on. Second half was the game-changer, thanks to Williams rotating the players correctly. If Langstaff had managed to get his shot past Gregory, the score would've looked even better. But a win's a win.
  18. It’s sad to see Charlie Slater leave his Notts commentary position with BBC Radio Nottingham, but it’s exciting to see a new era. Provided we still have Mark Stallard, then that’s the main thing. Good luck, Charlie, and thank you.
  19. It’s great to see so many flourishing youngsters sign. I do have the feeling that Luke Williams will start to implement some into the first team in the right circumstances. With 7 substitutes compared to 5, it’s much easier, and if we are in cruise control in some of the games, then that makes things easier and tempting to throw on a youngster for the last 20 minutes.
  20. So, it would be a loan move? What about Nathan Claxton? He looked like a very capable defender.
  21. I wish Joss Labadie all the best. His free kick in the win against Doncaster away is something I will always remember. Best wishes to him on his move to Solihull Moors.
  22. Hello, welcome to PoN @BeestonPie. I have no regrets joining, come join in the conversations.
  23. Good to see the response from to the counter-attack football from Telford. It's one thing to have individual talents but it’s another to apply them constructively as a team. They have really shown their capability to adapt to various footballing situations, testament to Williams' tactical prowess. It was wise of Williams not to overwork the players early in the season. By monitoring their time and adjusting players where needed, they can ensure good form for the entire duration. Managing both fitness and morale is crucial and they appear to be heading in the right direction.
  24. Giving the experts in the club the responsibility to watch and evaluate players during the pre-season friendlies seems a wise choice. It allows for unbiased observation and acts on concerns if necessary, a smart managerial move in my opinion. Also, it's good to hear his focus on strengthening the current team as well. Pouring time and effort into the existing players creates a solid foundation for the team. This approach helps to create a harmonious squad that's got each other's backs on and off the pitch.
  25. I hope Dele Alli has a support network in place so that he can fully move forward. If you think this is bad, look up the drinking culture at Arsenal in the 90s with Tony Adams, Paul Merson, etc. Gambling, drinking… yet they somehow managed to retain things. Hopefully, Alli gets what he needs and can make a comeback from here. It sounds like Everton is looking after him.
