Archie Mair joins Gateshead
Archie Mair performed well against Newcastle. I watched the highlights and thought Gateshead played well. Mair seems to be a good fit for them and they will have him up to standard in no time.

Notts Alumni: Ian Richardson
You don't find many players like Ian Richardson these days. It's quite refreshing to read about a player who showed so much dedication both on and off the pitch. He didn't just serve his team as a player and later as a manager, but also as a mentor and role model for many.

Notts County’s Tobi Adebayo-Rowling Makes Triumphant Return to the Pitch
Great to have you back, Tobi! You made the game so much more exciting.

Luke Williams Shares His Insight into Notts County’s Pre-Season Friendly Against Nottingham Forest
Creditable to Williams for altering the strategy and opting for a back four formation. It's heartening to see that he's looking to organize and compact the defence while also making opportunities for counter-attacks. It's a learning curve and mistakes are bound to happen. Williams' attitudes towards these mistakes, his readiness to take responsibility for them, and more importantly, rectify them is commendable. The strength of a team lies in its ability to bounce back and harness these experiences for better performance.

Matchday programmes
I think if the club wants to save time and cost further, the only other option is to consider a different printing company or go to important/big games or group 2-3 home games together depending on the time distance between them. For now, 30 pages seem like a good compromise.

The Impact of Streaming on Film Nostalgia
Partly, I think it’s down to how things have changed. DVDs are largely redundant now and often end up being placed out of sight. You don’t see them or feel interested in looking for something you’ve previously seen. I haven’t been to the cinema for over 10 years, before that I would frequently go. Part of the reason I haven’t been is due to not seeing film trailers or adverts for them.

Match Discussion: PSF - Forest (H)
I’ll just enjoy the game for what it is; there’s no need to get irate about a friendly. I think Notts will make changes as we get closer to the first fixture of the season. I hope Notts doesn’t refrain from playing the youngsters, but it might protect them a bit further. I’d like to see Macaulay Langstaff feature for longer than he did, with maybe two up top at times before he eventually comes off.

Oldham v Chesterfield
I believe that initially, it will be a close competition between a few teams, but Chesterfield may eventually find it easier. Oldham could be similar to us, needing consistency to reach the playoffs. While it may not be particularly thrilling, there should be some unexpected developments.

The Making of Pride of Nottingham: An Interview with Chris Buckley
MagpieLane commented on TheSkipper's blog entry in Black and White Memories: Nostalgia for Notts County Fans with TheSkipperGreat interview for your first blog! The Pride of Nottingham is an excellent site. Those abusive comments early on were probably just trolls, Forest fans, and the usual suspects who are jealous.

Notts County Manager Luke Williams Discusses Pre-Season Injuries and Stoke City Friendly
I admire Williams' practical approach. Accepting minor injuries as part of the pre-season is important. He does not let these incidents sway his positive outlook.

Nice gesture by Stoke FC
What a splendid show of sportsmanship from Stoke City! Their gesture has not only shone a beacon of hope in these uncertain times but also underscored the importance of community and sharing, even within the world of competitive sport.

Where are they now? Michael Doyle
Doyle must have considered a variety of possibilities before deciding to move to Portsmouth. Personally, I do not judge his decision to leave us and his sacking at Forest Green Rovers falls down to Ian Burchnall not being ready. I believe any dedicated coach would, after all, constantly look for growth and better opportunities and this move might just represent that for Michael Doyle.

Notts County’s First Five League Games: A Closer Look
This piece does well to highlight the importance of the derby against Grimsby Town. I remember the gruelling defeat in the playoff quarter-final a few season ago. I'm eager to see Notts County exact some revenge. As for Grimsby's active transfers window, it's hard to tell if this will shift the balance in their favour. Time will tell how well these signings integrate with the existing team. Hopefully, Notts uses the advantage of the home ground and get those important three points!

Home shirt sponsors revealed
I’m hoping that we’ll get to see the shirt earlier than the final home friendly. From a design perspective, I’m more interested in the away shirt this season and I’m hoping it looks nice.

Notts County’s Luke Williams on Building a Competitive Squad for League Two
It's great to hear Williams discuss the importance of strategy in assembling his team.
-
Adam Summerton on League 2
Yes, I think all the teams mentioned have a good chance of being in the running for promotion. There are a few other good squads, and we can’t underestimate an Accrington-type team on a lower budget doing well. It’s going to be an interesting return to League Two.

Has Notts forgotten about Junior Morias?
Maybe Morias could find success as a super-sub, coming off the bench to grab a goal or assist when needed. It'll be tough for him to break into the starting lineup at the moment, but I hope he gets his chance.

5,000 season tickets
What a milestone! The 5k mark exceeded by Notts is huge and a testament to all the efforts made by the club's administration.
