Notts County’s Permanent Signings: Who’s Your Favourite?
While Jodi Jones is indeed a standout signing, I think Dan Crowley's addition should not be undervalued. I can see him being an integral part of our midfield and being influential in our overall game plan.

Darren Moore and Gary O'neil - Sacked.
I agree with @DonnyNotts that it might be over a budget disagreement, which seems to be a common issue in football these days. However, it's sad to see good managers getting the boot over disagreements with the club's management.

Reedtz Brothers Era "Feels like a good dream"
I agree with else before me, it does feel like a good dream. The Reedtz Brothers have brought stability, good management, and progress to the club. It's refreshing to have ownership that is both silent and effective.

Dan Crowley signs
Such an exciting signing! I can't wait to see how Dan Crowley fits into our possession-based playstyle. His versatility and creativity in midfield could make a real impact in our squad.

New member, Sirrels County!
All the welcomes are appreciated, thank you.

Maddison pays tribute to Jodi Jones
It’s a nice touch by James Maddison to give Jodi Jones his match shirt. Considering it’s a friendly, it shows more than just respect. I believe it shows a high level of support and well wishes towards Jones.

TV horror/sci-fi series 'From'
I haven’t yet seen From either, but I will give it a watch. I don’t like many horror films from recent years but the television genre for horror tends to be much better. Probably due to needing the viewership and the lesser budget, it means people are less likely to waste it in my opinion.

Kairo Mitchell joins Rochdale
I didn’t dislike him; he just walked around at times like he didn’t care about his own performance provided the team won. I never saw why we paid a fee for him, but I would always wish the lad well. Good luck to him at Rochdale.

Jordan Richards to Boston United
It would be nice to see Pedro’s lad do more in his career, but provided he enjoys his football, that is all that matters. Boston seems a good club for him to further gain the experience he needs to get spotted by a higher-up team.

The search for new CEO begins
The board have shown they carefully make these crucial decisions. I can’t see why selecting a new CEO would be any different. I believe the brothers are firstly businessmen, secondly good judges of character and thirdly understand how people’s skills can be used to return a better productivity level. Their decision to hire Ian Burchnall was very good, proven even better by giving Luke Williams the manager’s job. They were fortunate enough to have Jason Turner at the club when they arrived, but I see no reason why they can’t make a good hiring in this department. It should be more within their alley.

Jim O’Brien reflects on his journey with Notts County
It’s interesting to hear Jim speak about Luke Williams. I think when you trust players and provide good information that allows players to improve their game, it creates that sort of bond. I would like to see Luke be a bit more hands-on with young players. Notts should be making the most of this department and I personally think Jim O’Brien could help with this. He has been super since signing for the club.

Kyle Cameron signs contract
He, of course, isn’t without his errors, but he leads by example and is a good player. I would like to see him play more consistently defending than going forward but it is a balance. I am happy; he’s a good player at this level and can improve.

Cal Roberts joins Scunthorpe United
I would’ve asked for my release, then gone back to Gateshead if Aberdeen would’ve allowed it. Scunthorpe is a bit of a weird step backwards but I wish him well.

Oxford United adds goal-scoring playmaker Rúben Rodrigues to squad
It does look to be a good signing for Oxford United but potentially a mistake on Ruben’s part. I hope they can get the best out of him and he can make his dream move at the peak of his career, but I don’t see it being so merry. I can see him dragging out his contract wishing he had signed elsewhere.

Ruben is leaving - official
I thank Ruben Rodrigues for all that he has done. He’s been a superb player who has delivered countless memories and although I wished we had another 2 years with him, I do wish him all the very best at Oxford United.

Awful News
It hits home more due to the location. Nottingham has had a reputation in the past for knife and gun crime. It hasn’t had many events like this and when it happens it does take you back. It’s all just very sad. I wish my condolences to the families affected by the deaths and pray they get their justice.

Carl Dickinson joins Bury
I still can’t believe he’s 36. I thought he was around that age when he left us. He had zero pace and would fall to the ground trying to run. Good luck to him at Bury. I can’t see him being a long-term solution for them, and I hope he isn’t playing out wide.

McCauley Langstaff scrubs up well
Well done to Macaulay Langstaff, he looks delighted with himself.
-
Derry and Labadie on Jack Grealish
Jack was on a different level than League One. He could have walked into any Championship team and repeated his success with us. He might have even found a club that won something. I wouldn’t rewrite history or change a thing - he was such a special talent.

Rumours : Joel Senior to Notts?
I think this summer it turned out to be David McGoldrick, but you know what they say: there’s no smoke without fire. I’m looking forward to seeing some new faces come through the doors at Meadow Lane.

Final Pre-Season Game Announced
The list of friendlies looks good. I hope to make it to the Shrewsbury Town match. I think I can attend most of the pre-season games.

Dion Kelly Evans asks to be put on transfer list at Boreham Wood
I wish Dion Kelly Evans all the best. I think he needs to take a step back and focus on working hard. He’ll find an opportunity to play somewhere, but he’ll be fortunate if a club is willing to pay a fee for him.

Lopata to Barnsley
Lopata is a promising prospect and has performed well. I think the move will work out after some time, but it may not be a smooth start.

Write about why you joined
Why did you join prideofnottingham.co.uk? I joined because I noticed a difference in the quality of articles returned and the quality of discussions just seemed refreshing, so I took the plunge, as they say. I think it’s a very good site. I usually just read to avoid the bother, but this place seems like the real deal. What is your main highlight of being a member? So far, I would say the sheer number of friendly people that welcomed me was a nice touch and a sign that I had made the right decision to join. How much have you seen PoN grow during your time? As someone who has mostly read the site, I’ve noticed that there have been spells where things are busy and then it drops off. The site will have those times, but the last few months have been very encouraging, I feel. More fans should get involved; I believe this. As a community, what would you say are the three core values to PoN and why? Friendliness, quality and discussions. There’s a bit of everything, but how friendly people are and how they can share their own opinions without resorting to name-calling or arguing is really good. I would say it’s well-run, excellently moderated and stands by its principles.
