Interesting move for Leicester City, but as a Notts fan, I’ve seen enough managerial turnover to know stability is key. I am not exactly sure how this appointment will turn out, I half expect it to end in tears, but he could do well. They need someone who they will stand by, so hopefully it won't end in disaster for them.

Martin Allen is such a character. I’ve followed his career since his days at West Ham, but his stint at Notts County was special. I’ve been really impressed by how McGoldrick is handling this season. He’s playing with the energy of a much younger man but with the wisdom that only comes from years of experience. The way he described knowing he’d score the penalty, even after playing 95 minutes, just shows how much belief he has in himself. It’s great to have a player like him in the squad, especially one who cares as much about the team’s success as his own. His comments on clean sheets show his maturity, he understands that we need to be solid at the back to win matches, which is crucial. McGoldrick is the kind of leader we need if we want to keep pushing for promotion.

The Billy Connolly story sounds like he was trying to be amusing with the “are you lost” comment. I have seen some celebrities in person, but never had the chance to speak to them.
