Notts County’s David McGoldrick on Hard Work, Fitness, and the Upcoming Season
It's good to see a seasoned player like McGoldrick reiterating the importance of hard work and fitness. He seems to genuinely understand the responsibility he has towards the younger players and is keen to set a good example. His comment about being in the wrong game if you don't enjoy the hard work is absolutely spot-on. All the best to McGoldrick and the whole team for the upcoming season.

Where are they now? Michael Doyle
Michael Doyle is a good option for the role. I wished he had managed to find a role at Notts, but after his departure for FGR, some fans might be inclined to feel differently. Personally, I think he’s a good coach.

McGoldrick screamer at Alfreton
It’s fantastic how McGoldrick moved beyond the tackle, controlled it, and then unleashed a superb effort on goal. It’s a showstopper for a friendly; you simply can’t beat it.

First Openly Transgender Player at a FIFA World Cup
I think it’s a decision which FIFA needs to carefully consider. If they make a decision, it needs to be stood by, unlike the Olympics and some other competitive sports where they allowed it for a period and then simply didn’t acknowledge the period after changing their minds. I personally don’t have a problem with it, provided it’s within the fairness and professionalism of the game.

Super Ram’s Journey: A Lifelong Fan of Derby County FC and his Affection for Notts County
Super's affection for Notts and Derby County is impressively enduring. Anyone can fall in love with a football team, but maintaining that love through trials and tribulations, and it with kindness towards another club is a rare feat. His experiences at various matches with two different clubs were likely full of mixed emotions, and it impresses me how he accepts the highs and lows, seeing them as integral parts of supporting a football club.

The Winning Formula: Luke Williams Talks Hard Work and Enjoyment
A team that works hard and has fun together is one that's sure to give its best on the field. Well done to Williams for recognising and fostering this within his group!

Notts County’s dominant performance rewarded with victory over Boston United
Williams knows what he’s doing. I think the Boston friendly was a good test of frustration and determination to get the winning goal. Scott did well to put away O’Brien’s cross, but there were chances that could have gone in and on another day may have done so.

Match Discussion: PSF - The Pilgrims (A)
Just as I saw the Stoke City game as a good lesson for observing Notts’ defensive struggles and lack of possession, I think the Boston United game was useful for the amount of ball we had and how they made the players use it. It was a game that, a while ago, Notts would have lost or drawn - most likely lost due to one attack that caught the players off guard.

Late squad number swap for Bostock and Bajrami
Before announcing the numbers next time, Notts might want to ask if anyone wants to swap beforehand, and then it saves a lot of hassle. Imagine if you rushed out to get their name and number on the back of your new shirt! I can see fans wanting John Bostock on their shirts; it would have been trouble.

Gateshead friendly incident
I know it’s a serious issue, but things like this always make me think a group of clowns is going to jump out with a comedian like Benny Hill taking chase dressed as a police officer. If the Nottingham Post wrote about this, without seeing the picture, you wouldn’t believe it. Thankfully, nobody was hurt, but there’s some damage to the ground and pitch.

The cost of spending a penny
Unisex toilets are weird; I hate those temporary ones. I prefer to find gender-based toilets if I can help it, but I have never heard of anyone sitting outside them with a collection. I wonder if the old lady was helping in an official capacity? France is a weird nation; after all, they eat frog legs. It’s a beautiful country but still very weird. I wouldn’t pay 40p for a public toilet; they are public after all and come out of our taxes.

Where are they now? - Callum McGregor
.It will be some time before we see a loanee with the talent he had at such a young age. The same goes for Jack Grealish. It’s amazing that we had them both. I’m pleased with how Callum’s career has progressed; he’s matured into a fantastic player.

Drinks at Meadow Lane
I don’t have a problem with this because I assume it will offer different varieties in certain parts of the ground, and nobody has to drink Carling.

New Chief Executive appointed
I’m pleased that the club has appointed a new CEO. Hopefully, things around the club, such as the ticket office, will start to improve again. I’ve heard many complaints about misinformation being given out and poor service.

Sochaux head for bankruptcy
Good luck to Sochaux. I’m not sure how severe their financial troubles are or the likelihood of them emerging stronger, but as a community-based sport, I wish them well.

Notts County Manager Luke Williams Discusses Player Injuries and Pre-Season Training
Pleased to see that Williams is maintaining professionalism and prioritising player welfare. His approach towards the whole injury situation instils confidence in the coaching and medical staff.

Where are they now? - Joss Labadie
It’s not a signing I would have expected, but he’s originally from the area, so that might play a part in his move. He may want to be closer to his family as he edges closer to retirement. Yes, he has quite a few years left, but this is the point when some older players start to settle.

Southend Utd survive High Court hearing
I hope Southend manages to overcome this and come back stronger. It’s not nice to see a team struggling to exist. Their fans have been massively let down by the owners.
