  1. How about putting a cheeky bid in getting the Maidstone goalkeeper Lucas Covolan, He didn't look erratic yesterday?
  2. Nottingham Panthers in action this evening. Manchester Storm v Panthers, face off 5:30pm. Team news follows.
  3. There as been a new provisional UK Jan daily max temperature record of 19.6C in the UK today.
  4. And @menzinho I'm not saying that there was any intention of injuring Jodi, however, since most of the threat to them was coming down the left, I'm sure they wouldn't have been sorry if Jodi had had to go off after that foul. That's why I say it's a red card.
  5. At this sad anniversary of an absolutely abhorrent chapter in World history, we should be remembering all thise victims that died, & we should be leaving politics out of this. We had two regimes, in WW2, one from the far left and one from the far right, that started as a far left party, committing terrible crimes of humanity. And we have seen since WW2 terrible genocide orchestrated by the left wing Pol Pot in Cambodia, then we have the Tutsi genocide in Rwanda, that was ethnic between .one tribe against the other. Sadly we see anti-Semitism rearing it's ugly head again in this Country. That's why remembering and educating is important and must continue.
  6. I suppose @Fan of Big Tone @DangerousSausage & @KB1862 another conundrum for Stuart would be looking into the balance of the current side. Can I even mention it, Langstaff, Didzy in the same side? We have Langstaff up front with Didzy supporting. I know we've gone up a level, however Langstaff supported by Rodriguez ( now replaced by Cowley) and Bostock seemed more fluent to me. Is there room for a two striker force like Didzy & Langstaff playing together, or should we enforce the midfield & rest one of them, especially away fro home?
  7. I just think that this is just other example of the football rules and interpretation being all over the place. Whether he was the last man committing the foul or not, the foul stopped Notts from having a glorious chance to score. It was a professional foul from behind. I can remember when fouls like that were punished with a red card, because it was regarded as dangerous foul play. Jodi could have been pulled back by his shirt, that would have invited a booking in itself, but Jodi was sythed down to the ground. Remember, the pitches are much better than they used to be, just imagine if this foul has been commited on a muddy or part frozen pitch, the consequences for Jodi could have been very bad. For me, that was serious and dangerous foul play and should have warranted a Red Card.
  8. @KB1862 I agree. I'm very sceptical that Man C or Chelsea will ever be punished fully, they may finish up with a fine, that they will be able to pay that easily. Why a specimen charge out of the 115 against Man C can't be decided upon very quickly is beyond me. I believe like you do that the delay is all about the money, such as TV subscriptions, commercial contracts and advertising revenue at home & around the World.Just imagine if Man City and Chelsea were about to be kicked out the league, the establishment wouldn't allow it. And those two clubs would possibly go on to form a Super League with clubs in Europe, if they were under threat of expulsion from the Premier League anyway.
  9. 17deg recorded in Scotland. That is something in January.
  10. @DangerousSausage I agree, I think that 75 points is the target that we need as a minimum to get into the playoffs, there's still a small possibility of making the automatics but the playoffs is a more realistic target now.
  11. When there wasn't VAR, Refs made mistakes, & we grumbled but it was just part of the game in the league for over 136 years from the football league's beginnings in this Country. The laws of the game became consistent across the globe. Now we have VAR, the footballing authorities across the World can't even agree on what some of the rules are regarding it, no wonder the fans are confused, even the players managers, and officials are confused too.
  12. @super_ramIt's great to wake up to some great news. Ollie Pope scored one of the great innings, 196 on a turning wicket, but I still thought that the lead wasn't quite enough, but Tom Hartley's seven wickets proved me wrong. The team spirit in this England team under Ben Stokes is what gives England an extra edge in close matches. Incidentally, West Indies have beaten Australia in Australia today too. A remarkable day in Test Cricket.
  13. This is very funny.
  14. ENGLAND HAVE WON THE FIRST TEST IN INDIA. WHAT A REMARKABLE WIN. Tom Hartley taking 7 wickets for England in India's 2nd innings. England win by 28 runs.
  15. Great innings by Ollie Pope in England's 2nd innings.
  16. Weather for this afternoon. Dry and Mild with sunny spells for most.
  17. Nottingham Panthers Head Coach Jonathan Paredes gives his reaction to this exciting match between two great rivals tonight.
  18. Weather for Sunday morning. Increasing amounts of bright spells across the Country
  19. One of the best performances of the season sees the Panthers just come up short against the league leaders, but they can be proud of this performance and take confidence from it.
  20. What I've seen today has given me confidence that Notts can make the playoffs. We need 10 wins and a few draws in the last 18 matches to be sure.
  21. Goal Panthers, Hugo Roy: 1:2 v Steelers
  22. We ought to have a VAR watch on here. More VAR controversy. Watching the Fulham v Newcastle match the ball comes off a Newcastle arm, the changes direction of the ball, and another Newcastle player scores thank you very much. It's a definite hand ball but goes to VAR and the goal given. Premier league cash rich Newcastle get the benefit. They were saying on the commentary that if that incident had happened in Europe, the goal would have been disallowed. Football's laws are just not consistent anymore across the World. How has that happened?
