@Fan of Big Tone we had a fairly reasonable record against Man U in our two excursions in the top flight in the early 80s and 90s. The penalty that was awarded to them was soft, ( have we seen that before) and their goalie, Gary Bailey was up to his old tricks again, clattering into opposition players.

Great analysis this. I'm sure that Stuart will be working on strengthening our defence by small tactical changes & modifying the shape when going forward to avoid being exploited on the break. The conundrum will be, balancing our threat in attack, & not losing that potency, with reducing our defensive frailties. Toms analysis demonstrates how this could be done. It is going to be fascinating to see if Stuart can solve this conundrum to cement our place in the playoffs.

Well he certainly won't be a part timer now. It's always good to have a back up career just in case, but I believe Stuart is going to have a long full time future as a Head Coach now.
