REF CALLS OFF MATCH AGAINST STOCKPORT
I'm disappointed that the match has been called off, however it does give Stuart more time with the players before the next scheduled match, which will be at home to Barrow on the 27th. Steve can now work with his players on the training ground which will help our new Head Coach to determine how we line up & whether he will make small changes to our tactics for the match. So for me this is a big positive even though it's disappointing that today's match won't go ahead.

Lloyd Glasspool & his partner battle through to third round of men's doubles. Into the 2nd round of the mixed doubles for Neil Skupski & Desire Krawczyk.- Highlights : Grimsby v Notts
I do miss Archie Mair. He would have been an awesome signing if Notts could have pulled it off.- A Trip Down Memory Lane (9)
@ChrisI've been scouring You tube for any more goals from Tony when he came to Notts for a 2nd time in 1970. Not found any yet but I will keep looking. I remember left winger Charlie Crickmore had many assists providing pin point crosses for Tony to head in during that Championship winning season. They both played in a great side.- Mark Stallard - Penalty Box to Commentary Box: The Magpie Circle
I do like to hear Mark Stallard as a summariser on BBC Notts County commentaries. He adds passion, personality, knowledge and entertaining banter to those commentaries, & he was the perfect foil for Charlie Slater as they took us through our promotion season.- Match Discussion: Game 29 - The Hatters (H)

Latest from the MET Office. Rain spreading east on Saturday.- Opposition View: Macclesfield Town fan predicts narrow win over visiting Notts County
It was so sad that the original Macclesfield Town came upon hard times and was unfortunately wound up in Sept 2020. A phoenix club Macclesfield FC, rose from the ashes and began life in the North West Counties Premier Division, the fifth step of the National League system, in August 2021, and currently competes in the Northern Premier League following two successive promotions. It's great to see Macclesfield coming back and they can still dream of returning to league status one day.- Do you have a second team?
I do look for the results of Basford United & AFC Mansfield (not to be confused with Mansfield Town) which is my local team.- Jim O'Brien Discusses Notts County's Preparations for Top-of-the-Table Clash with Stockport County
I've been very impressed with Jim over the last few weeks since Luke left. The management showed great confidence in Jim to step in and Jim stepped up to the plate & acted in such a professional way. It was clear that the players have great respect For him too. I was particularly impressed by the way Jim handled the interviews, where he demonstrated that he had a clear vision and plan for what he wanted to do while in charge. When Jim's playing career comes to an end, I believe he will have a future in football Management.- Match in doubt?
I was fearing this with all the freezing weather we've had. Mansfield game already called off.- Kyle Cameron Leads Notts County with Unwavering Focus Amid Managerial Change
It's so refreshing for players and fans, that we have a club captain in Kyle who is ready and able to lead by example and guide the players in what is always a tumultuous time when a Manager/ Head Coach leaves. Experience and commonsense is always important at this time too, & Kyle has an abundance of that. Kyle's leadership is going to be very important as the team has to transition to the new coaching methods, ways, tactics & system of play. And Kyle is already doing just that.- UK Weather Watch.
Update from the Met Office.- Nuneaton Borough to fold
This is so sad and it effects a whole community and it's the supporters who suffer the most. But this is just symptomatic of what's happening in Football around the Country with the rich clubs getting richer and those clubs down the football pyramid struggling. We have seen it time and time again over the last few years, but the football authorities either can't or won't try to do anything about it. The solution is simple. The Premier League need to filter much more money down to the lower leagues, & there should be a contingency fund, or something to that effect, to help clubs such as Nuneaton who come across hard times.- Notts County Women: Next Match v Sutton Coldfield
@Chris Sutton are mid table, so I think it's going to be a tough game. I think it may be a draw, but I'm hoping for a win. Notts need to start winning some of their home games to put some space between them and the bottom two.- Match Discussion: Game 29 - The Hatters (H)
Stuart Maynard's definitely in charge for Saturday.- Notts County Women: Next Match v Sutton Coldfield
Philippa Davies previews Sutton Coldfield at home.- National Insurance cut.
Income tax shock as 650,000 more state pensioners face HMRC bill from April Pensioners are more likely to vote for the Conservative Party than any other age group. The latest Tory tax attack could change their minds. The 2% cut in NI is definitely not benefiting pensioners. Our tax burden will be increasing, not decreasing. Income tax free allowance needs to be increased in April. https://www.express.co.uk/finance/personalfinance/1857490/state-pension-pensioners-income-tax-threshold-freeze-Jeremy-Hunt-stealth-raid-triple-lock- Ice & Snow To Hit The UK.
