Trains through the channel tunnel
Who's talking about airline travel to Europe @Piethagoram? I'm talking about Sea Ferries being the cornerstone of travel across the Channel and North Sea decades before the Channel Tunnel was built, and in my opinion there is still an important role to play for the Sea Ferries.

Wrexham flew their team to 16 NL games last season!
The only thing I would say about this Wrexham story is that again, it is symptomatic about the current problem in our domestic football, the haves' and the have nots' That's why there should be a Cap on turnover for each of the four top tier Leagues.

Trains through the channel tunnel
The Channel tunnel has reduced Ferry traffic and that in turn has lost jobs and that is a big regret. The loss of British Sea jobs to cheap overseas labour is for another Topic, as that development is not really directly connected to the channel tunnel. It's symptomatic with what has been happening in big swathes of our industry.

Colossus , the Bletchley Park computer
British ingenuity & inventiveness at its best. The codebreaking at Bletchley Park was arguably one of the top 3 reasons why Germany was defeated in World War 2 & we owe our freedom today to all those who worked at Bletchley Park.

Trains through the channel tunnel
The Eurotunnel was founded on a good principle to connect mainland Europe with the UK, but it has become a huge white elephant. When I've visited Europe, I've always used the Ferry system, and it's much more interesting and fun to cross by Sea Ferry The Sea Ferry system has always been the cornerstone of cross channel travel. We managed very well before the Euro tunnel and we would manage if it wasn't there.

Huge Ring of Galaxies Discovered
@Burnz3r0 It is very hard to imagine how immense the Universe is. The simplest way of describing how immense it is, is to compare the Earth to the size of an Atom and the Earth represents the size of the Universe. An Atom is too small to be seen even by the most powerful microscopes, so that miniscule size just puts things into context. By the way, the new discovery is truely awesome.

Andy had a big hip problem at the end of 2016 and it got worse in 2017. He had two operations the last one being resurfacing of his hip. Normally this would have been career ending, but Andy proved them all wrong. His comeback has been fraught with setbacks but he managed to get back up to the middle forties in the rankings, but he is slower than at his peak and this has not helped him. I think he'll retire after Wimbledon this year.

Notts County Financial A/c's year ended 30/6/23 at Companies House
At the end of the day we have player assets at the club that are pretty valuable at this time. I hope that we don't have to sell those assets, but that will always be an option if needed. I believe the brothers have the club's finances well in control anyway.

Ice & Snow To Hit The UK.
- What is your favourite TV Comedy series?
I'll start you off with mine. There are so many to choose from but my favourite is "The Goodies", slapstick at its best, utterly silly and ridiculous that you could never stop laughing. Here's a flavour.- A Trip Down Memory Lane (13)
Stoke City 2 Notts County 2, First Division, May 1982, featuring Trevor Christie penalty & a screamer from Pedro Richards.- Spot the grass....
Some players love to play footy in the mud.- MAGnet Links - Stockport
Jason Lee, who played for almost everybody, well almost seemed like it. He only played two games for Stockport. Jason played 69 games for Notts and scored 16 goals from 2006/8- New appointments for Notts County Women & Girls.
This is very exciting news 2 new appointments to work with our Notts County Women and Girls. Ashley Eastman appointed as FDP lead U7-U11 at NCWFC Danny Gordon appointed Head of Coaching at PDP at NCWFC.- Jim O'Brien's first interview as Interim Head Coach of Notts.
Well, we are halfway through Jim's 2nd week of being Interim Head Coach, and it very much appears that he will be in charge for the Stockport match.- Smartphones: Your device and Preferences
Mine is an Android. Have had Smart phone Android since Smart phone inception. They have always served me well. Can't conceive paying more than £150 for a smart phone.- Temple of Sin finances and signings
Couldn't agree more. We'll put. The top six are above the law.Thats the big problem in English football at the moment.- Match Discussion: Game 29 - The Hatters (H)
I don't think Jim is going to make any changes to the side that drew 5:5 with Grimsby unless he is forced to do so by injury. The side will probably line up in a similar formation & the style of play will not alter. Stockport do leak a few goals so I'm confident we can score a few, it's just how many we concede at the other end concerns me Personally, I believe that Notts should be more cautious this game, because Stockport is another level above Grimsby, but I'm sure that the Notts way of playing "total football" will continue. I'm hoping for a score draw here I think that will be a good result on Saturday, if the game goes ahead as there are freezing conditions around at the moment. I'm going for 2:2 result.- Tennis.
