Highlights : Grimsby v Notts
The big big plus is Notts score goals. A team that can come back from two goals down and then be behind twice more, then get themselves into a position to win the match, just demonstrates that Notts have the best attacking threat in this league

Matt Palmer on the comeback trail.
Never has a player been so missed as Matt has been since his injury..The day will be a big day for us when he returns.

Notts County 1 Southampton 0 August 1991 featuring our great defender, Dean Yates.- Ice Hockey. Nottingham Panthers
Panthers 2nd match of a double header in Belfast ends in defeat.- Notts County: Goal Scoring Machine.
Notts have now played their 27th game of the Season, since their return to League 2. They finished last season on 117 goals from 46 Games in the National League plus the 5 goals they scored in open play in the two playoff games. So in 73 league games since the beginning of last season, not counting the playoffs, Notts have scored 177 goals, a remarkable number, which relates to an average of 2.42 goals scored per game, & with our current style of play & our current attacking force, there seems no end to it. If this current rate of scoring is maintained, Notts will surpass 100 goals again this season, which would be a fantastic achievement. The number of goals that we are conceding is very much a concern, & the Management will want to address it very quickly. What we do know is that Notts are a big threat to any opposing defense in this league and every team will be wary of us, home or away. If we can sort out our defensive frailties in our last 19 games, I am still very optimistic that we can make the playoffs, & if we do, no team would want to face us, with the damage our attacking force can wreak on them.- Match discussion: Game 28 - The Mariners (A)
@Fan of Big Tone .Stal mentioned the balance of the team. it may not be just the defensive problems. Players not tracking back when they should.Too much space for teams to exploit. We've seen that all season. One positive thing. We didn't give up and we showed character to come back. And a point on the road, stopped the consecutive defeats on the road. .- Match discussion: Game 28 - The Mariners (A)
So am I we've scored 60 goals but let in 52 only three teams in the league have conceded more.- Match discussion: Game 28 - The Mariners (A)
We'd be top of the league if we had a decent defence. It ends 5:5- Match discussion: Game 28 - The Mariners (A)
Didzy and Macca scored to get us level at the break. How did we go in level? Could we finish up scoring 100 and conceding a 100 in a season?- Match discussion: Game 28 - The Mariners (A)
Terrible start Those defensive errors keep coming, we've conceded another penalty & woeful defending at a corner conceding a 2nd. Notts 2:0 down after 15 minutes. We have to change the way we are playing at away matches. At the moment we are just not good enough..- Match discussion: Game 28 - The Mariners (A)
The team for today's game is in. Scott Robertson makes his debut.- BREXIT.....
Like I said, We will have to agree to disagree.- BREXIT.....
I believe the British people have given the Government a great opportunity to take advantage of the opportunities Brexit gives us. For the sake of the Country, all of us, those who voted leave, & those who voted remain, should move on as citizens of our sovereign, independent Country & work together to make Brexit Successful.- Match discussion: Game 28 - The Mariners (A)

For those who would like to know more about the Nottingham Panthers and their history I will post an article about them that can be found on Wiki. The Nottingham Panthers were formed at the end of WW2 in 1946 Their first franchise was between 1946 & 1960, they then went out of business for 20 years, however a new franchise began in 1980 to the present day. The Panthers have been one of the best if not the best, supported Ice Hockey clubs in history. The Panthers are also one of the most successful clubs with plenty of silverware, they have won 4 league titles, & are the only British team to win the European, Continental Cup. The link to their Wiki is here. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nottingham_Panthers- Rugby Union: Nottingham RFC
If anyone would like to know more about Nottingham RFC there is an article on Wiki with plenty of information. The Club was founded in 1877 and the Clubs heyday was in the late 1980s when they boasted several international players in their ranks, most notably Gary Rees, Dusty Hate, Rob Andrew & Brian Moore, who as well as playing for England, became a British lion. Nottingham used to get televised regularly on "Rugby Special at that time, being a top club. The advent of professionalism affected Nottingham for a few years, but they have bounced back since then & have become a solid 2nd tier club. I post the wiki link here. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nottingham_R.F.C.#:~:text=7 External links-,History,of the club until 2006. - A Trip Down Memory Lane (10)
