National League: Chesterfield FC.
Looks like Chesterfield are on course to break all records in the National League. Of course, the competition is weaker this season, but even so, to break the points record, Win record and Goals Scored record would be great achievement for them. I think it makes Notts' win at Wembley over Chesterfield even more better.

Post Office scandal: Hundreds could have convictions overturned this year https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-67932595.amp- Prediction league 23/24 round 28 - Saturday 13 January
Huddersfield Town 2 v Plymouth Argyle 1 Millwall 1 v Middlesbrough 1 Northampton Town 1 v Wigan Athletic 1 Reading 1 v Port Vale 2 Wycombe Wanderers 1 v Lincoln City 1 Accrington Stanley 2 v Gillingham 1 Doncaster Rovers 3 v Newport County 1 Joker Eastleigh 2 v Southend United 1- A Trip Down Memory Lane (8)
Birmingham 3 v Notts County 3. Division 2, 3rd May 1980 featuring Gordon Mair, Trevor Christie & Brian Kilcline Brian Kilcline's first goal for Notts. Incidentally, the attendance was over 33,000 at that match- Welcome to PON Robbie_64!
To all those I haven't mentioned thanks for the welcome.- Fulham Goalkeeper Luca Ashby-Hammond Joins Notts On Loan.
I'm sure the recruiters had this guy on the radar when Luke was at Notts. He would have been one of the players on the short list to acquire. And Luke would have input too on who he wanted. Let's see if he is selected for Grimsby. That will tell us a lot- The Post Office Scandal...the numbers
It appears that many politicians from all sides of the political divide, have quite a lot to answer for over this terrible miscarriage of justice. Those people affected need to be exzonerated & compensated fully as soon as possible.- A trip down Memory Lane (6)
@liampie Killer Kilcline was a strong tall defender, great with the head, his nickname was entirely appropriate, he took no prisoners, but he was good too on the ball, he made a few mistakes but most defenders do don't they I'd like him in the side right now He'd make a big difference, & he'd thrive on our style too.- A trip down Memory Lane (7)
We actually didn't play too bad that season. We played some good football, had some notable wins too. We still had a chance to avoid relegation until the last 3 games of the season. It was very close. I felt Neil should have been kept on to try to get us back up to the Premier League the next season. Selling Tommy Johnson to Derby before the end of the season to Derby was a massive mistake in my opinion. Keeping him till the end could have made the difference between staying up or not. Earlier we had sold Paul Rideout too .- Fulham Goalkeeper Luca Ashby-Hammond Joins Notts On Loan.

Notts County 3 v West Ham 0. December 1991: League Div 1. Featuring Phil Turner, Paul Harding, & Tony Agana.- MAGnet Links - Grimsby Town
Gary Birtles, European Cup winner for Forest, played for Notts from 1987/88 made 33 appearances and scored 9 goals. Played for Grimsby 1989/91 made 69 appearances and scored 9 goals.- Fulham Goalkeeper Luca Ashby-Hammond Joins Notts On Loan.
Should go straight into the side against Grimsby on Saturday.- Fulham Goalkeeper Luca Ashby-Hammond Joins Notts On Loan.
Luca joins Notts till the end of the season. Welcome Luca.- New manager
I may be wrong but my bet is on Stuart Maynard.- Scott Robertson Raring To Go
I would put Robertson straight into the side for Grimsby. Bench Nemane and replace him with Austin & put Robertson holding in Midfield. Thoughts?- Scott Robertson Raring To Go
- The Saudi League
I agree @Ohh Tommy Johnson that I don't think they'll be a UK wide league, the Scottish clubs wouldn't agree to it for a start. I also agree that a Premier league in England without the big six would be far more interesting.- The Saudi League
Agree @Ohh Tommy Johnson There will be less money around the football pyramid as foreign owners may be less willing to fund Clubs remaining in the domestic leagues ,& TV revenues will go down, but funnily enough, I think it would make for more exciting competition in the Premier League if the big six go. Would the Premier League try to make the competition a UK National Premier league to include clubs from Scotland & Northern Ireland such as Celtic, Rangers & Linfield? As far as televising the matches are concerned, I think probably Sky Sports & Discovery Sports would be attracted to televise the Super League, that would leave BBC & ITV to bid for the Premier League, EFL & Cup Competitions.- The Saudi League
@Dripsey3 & @Ohh Tommy Johnson If there were to be a Super League they would probably follow the same model as the NFL in the States with no promotion or relegation. Could be two leagues with an end of season playoff system with one overall winner to make more money. Just going a little of topic, As far as today is concerned I would like to see, all those who qualify for European Competition in England ineligible to play in the FA Cup & League Cup the season afterward. This would be positive development for all the other clubs in the Football pyramid. In addition, I would limit team changes to no more than 4 players to the starting 11 in Cup matches, to stop the big clubs devaluing the competitions.- The Post Office Scandal...the numbers

Ipswich 1 v Notts County 3. League Division 1 30th Jan 1982. A great win for Notts against a very strong Ipswich side. The Notts goals were scored by Gordon Mair, Brian Kilcline, & Paul Hooks.- New Head Coach, New Ideas,Tactics, Shape & Style of Play..
I very nice piece of commentary @ARLukomski I think it is vital for Clubs like Notts to have a good youth and development policy that can be a good source of revenue for the Club. - The Post Office Scandal...the numbers
