  1. Absolutely @Robbie Notts do need to Get some of their Rising Academy Talent into the First Team Squad has You have Said and Many Other Commentators on PON. But That Is Only A Question Richard Montague Can Answer.
  2. So Now We Know. The real reason for England players tiredness is Uefa. The Governing Body is being Sued by the Top Leagues in Europe because it's over Filled the Footballing Calendar with To Many Matches. Which has Resulted in Players becoming Tired and therefore have a higher Risk of Getting Injured. What the Premier League Fail Realise is that they feel it's Ok to send it's Top Teams to Play around the World in Money Grabbing Pre-Season games. Teams fly half way round the World to play games in Asia, Australasia and the Good Old U.S OF A. Their players aren't too tired for those Matches are they? A ticket to watch Manchester City play in the US will cost the American Punter $65 a Time. How Much Money Does Manchester United charge when the go galloping off on a Tour of the Far East? In another Thread I have stated how Easy It Would be to Combat Footballer Fatigue. Make the Champions League just that, a Knockout tournament between only the Champions of Each Country. No Group Matches. The Same for the World Cup and Euro's just select the Top 16 Ranked Countries in the World/ Europe put them straight into the Finals. 4 Groups of 4 top two in each group qualify for the next stage. But Think of All The Money We'd Lose would be the Cry from Clubs/Countries. Well Either Get Less Money Or Protect Your Players Health. You Can't Have It Both Ways. Which Option Do You Think Clubs Will Choose?
  3. They have an Excellent Leader in Javier Milei who is Slowly getting the Country back on it's Feet. It's a Shame this Country doesn't have a Leader like Him.
  4. When both these Players appeared in the Black & White it was Clear from the Start both would Go On and become Good Players and so it's No Real Surprise both these Guy have gone onto better things and each has a Full Trophy Cabinet. It's also Nice To Know Notts had a Hand in their development. Good Luck to both Callum and Jack in their Futures.
  5. Very Nice Notts have a New Kit Man. Welcome. I was however hoping for some News Regarding New Players being signed to Strengthen the Notts Squad for a Push to gain Promotion to League 1.
  6. @Robbie The Chalk and Cheese expression you quote may be True, but I merely stated that Jimmy also left to seek Pastures New. And at that time there May have been Notts Fans who didn't want Jimmy back. Something We'll Never Know because back when Jimmy left the only Social Media Platform were the discussions down the Boozer after a Match. And if a Fan wanted to express his feelings to a Wider Audience then He'd send a Letter to the Editor of some Local Rag. Which More Than Likely wouldn't have gained much Traction with the Editor anyway. There is without a shadow of Doubt Fans who wouldn't Give Williams the time of Day and wouldn't want him back at any Price and Yet If the Situation I have Invented came about there are other Fans who would Welcome it. Despite the Popularity of this Website it is home to only a small percentage of the Notts Fan Base. If Williams was reinstated and he took over a Struggling League 2 side and bought about their Promotion to League 1 and maybe even to the Championship as that seems to be the Notts Holy Grail, how Long would it take for him to be Forgiven? It's not that he left the Magpies on the Brink of Relegation, which if that had been the case he wouldn't have had the Swansea offer anyway and would have been out of a Job. We Fans will Never Know how or where Notts would have finished had Williams stayed. My own Personal View for what it's worth is No . When he left the Lane I was of the Opinion that he let Notts Down, by not at least seeing out the Season. Then again the Swansea job may not have been available then, and Williams can't be criticized for wanting the Chance to Prove himself at a Higher level and all the Benefits that Position would bring for both himself and his Family.
  7. It's a Shame Notts couldn't have held on to Macca till this Match and Show York City What They Let Go. Full Agreement @Robbie It is time Maynard put out the Team he's Seriously thinking about Starting the New Season with. Something I Thought He Should Have Done Germany. That's Why I said Stuart Maynard. I'm Still Not Sure.
  8. So Does This Mean Another Talented Youngster as been signed by Notts, will probably get a couple of Preseason Games then he be Loaned Out Again and Again. Until his Contract Runs Out or he's Sold For An Undisclosed Fee.?
  9. @Robbie Just Wishful Thinking On My Part.
  10. Let me point out this is just a Hypothetical situation. A What If, it doesn't mean I want Stuart Maynard Sacked, I was just Interested to know what Fans would want if such a Situation Arose. Luke Williams did deliver what Notts Fans wanted in the Short Time he was at the Club, that is a Return to the EFL and I wanted to learn PON Members Feelings Regarding a Return of the Guy who did that. The Great Jimmy Sirrel also left Notts for the Managers Position at Sheffield United, but Returned to the Lane and Gained Legendry Status. I wonder how many Notts Fans didn't want him to Return?
  11. This may come across to some PON Members as Not Really Fair and For It To Happen many different things need to Drop into Place. But Just Supposing. If things Don't Work Out for Stuart Maynard at Meadow Lane and he loses his Job And if Things Don't Work Out for Luke Williams at Swansea and he loses his Job Would You my Fellow PON Members Like to See Luke Back In The Notts Dug Out ?
  12. @Robbie You Ain't Wrong Fella. Stuart hasn't Got any Excuses Now, It's his Team and with them He'll Either Sink Or Swim.
  13. If that is the Case @Robbie, I don't understand why they bought him. Why pay money for a Player with Macca's Goal Scoring Talent only to leave him on The Bench. Loan him Out? Now there's an Idea, if he's not doing well at the Den. They can always loan back out to Notts, where he'll score Goals and Get his Confidence Back.
  14. I would hope by Now @Robbie Stuart Maynard is fully aware of that, if Notts do get off to a Poor Start I just hope the Owners Don't keep hold of him Hoping things will get Better, before bringing in a New Coach. But lets Not be to Negative hopefully 4 more Senior Players will be Recruited to Bring the Squad up to Full Strength and Stuart can Mould them into League 2 Champions. Who knows?
  15. @Robbie You're Not Wrong regarding the Fact that Macca had many talented Players around him at Notts. And that is what Millwall need to Do, Feed Him and the Goals will Come. The thing is will Macca's new Club change their style of play just for him? Macca I think we have to Adapt to their Style and that may take time, and if he Doesn't Perform well how long will it be before the Fans start getting on his Back? I know Macca says he Doesn't Set Himself Goal Targets during a Season. The thing is will the Lions Head Coach expect a certain amount of Goals from Him? I think as a bare Minimum they'll expect him to get into Double Figures and look to him getting 15-20 goals all Told. I really hope Macca succeeds but Only Time Will Tell.
  16. As @Fan of Big Tone as stated Maynard shouldn't be solely responsible if Notts Fail this season, but that's how it will go. I fully Agree with Him the Recruitment Team must shoulder some of the Blame, But Stuart Maynard is the Head Coach and will be used as a Scapegoat should things go wrong at the Lane it will be Him and Not Richard Montague Notts Head of Recruitment who will Lose his Job.
  17. @Robbie That is the Main Problem Macca is going to have, establishing himself as Regular Starter for Millwall, and the way he'll Do That is by Scoring Goals. However if Millwall want Macca to Score Goals (and that's why they bought him) They are going to have to Play to his Strengths. How many times in the Past have we seen Strikers arrive with a Fanfare at a New Club only to Fail Miserably because his New Team didn't Play to his Strengths. Maybe It was Part of the Deal, that if Macca failed at Millwall, Notts Could Buy Him Back?
  18. Some of the Money should be invested in making the Fans Match Day Experience/Comfort better. I Don't know about the Ladies but the Gents Toilets could do with an Up Grade. Like Hand Dryers that work. And @Robbie has said the ground needs to be improved to bring it back to full Capacity. He'll tell what he'd like to see, it's just I remember him saying something along those lines.
  19. @RetroPie It is True that young players are going to be Sold ,but I I Don't understand why the Club doesn't also want to get some benefit from this Young Talent before they're either Released or Sold On. by being given the opportunity to play in the First team. If they play a number of Games for the first team, then Notts can ask for a bigger Transfer Fee than a Young Player who is always Loaned out each season.
  20. Half A Million A Year, That's Crazy !! No Wonder their Pitch is like a Ploughed Field, there doesn't seem to be enough Money about to Invest in a Decent Playing Surface.
  21. @Robbie I Honestly think it will be the latter part of your Comment. you only have to look at Lucien Mahovo, I read the article on the PON site and in it, it was stated While we're very Keen to see Graduates like Lucien go on and Establish Themselves in our First team...? So a 5 or 6 minute appearance in the last Match of the Season is Considered a Player as Established Themselves in the Notts First Team. Really? Who ever quoted that should be an MP because they sound as Honest as one. Let's get One Thing Straight the Notts Academy Players are Not There To Progress into the Notts First team, their just there to see how Much Notts Can Sell Them For In The Future and That Is My Honest Opinion.
  22. You Know That @Robbie and it appears most Fans on this thread who have seen Ryley Play Know That. The thing is does He who run's the The First team (and I'm Not Talking Stuart Maynard here) Know that? Like I've said Before Ryley is a promising young Talent. He's played in all the Preseason Games so far this Season a few more Preseason games and perhaps an appearance off the Bench in a couple of Games, this Will go down in his Notts Portfolio to be badgered about to Clubs higher in the Football Pyramid until a Club is willing to pay an Undisclosed Fee for him and then it's So Long Notts. And yet another Promising Young Player disappears into the Sun Set, without playing for the Magpies Long Enough to be of any Benefit to the First team. James Sanderson will probably Go The Same Way.
  23. I believe towards the End of Last Season, because the Notts Squad was Paper thin certain Players had to play carrying an Injury and I think John was one of these, he had to play on which affected his Play. The loss of Luke Williams has it's been stated was a Big Loss to John, but also the Loss of Matty Palmer as his Midfield Partner also had a Negative affect on him as well.
  24. It would seem an Awful lot of PON Members commenting on this Thread are in Favour of Giving Academy Players a Chance at getting into the Notts Senior Squad and it would seem Most agree it won't Happen. Do You Know What Gentle men I Would Love To Debate This With Richard Montague, and I'm Sure Many Of You Would Like To Do The Same. So if anybody at the Club ever Visits PON tell the Head Of Recruitment lets have a Chat.
  25. My Old Mum used to say People Take Me has They Find Me, And If They Don't Like It They Needn't Come Again. And you're Right Each to their Own
