  1. @Blake I don't think there is any Question regarding the New Players Not Being Supported By The Fans. As they are Now Magpies. @Robbie I think the Euphoria of Notts getting Promoted back into the EFL had more than a little bit to do with the Notts recruitment. Players who were Not up to League 2 standard were kept at the Lane, in the Hope they could take Notts into at least the Play offs. A Case of the Heart Ruling the Head. Sadly when Luke Williams left and he took his Man Management skills with him it affected the Notts Players. perhaps more than they Realized. I would think that if Notts do get Promoted the same Mistake won't happen again and New Players with higher League Experience would be bought into the Squad. While Players thought not to be League 1 standard would be Realised.
  2. A Simple Sticker With the Words NO JUNK MAIL is Fixed to our Letter Box. But it Doesn't Stop the Postman or Woman from pushing all Sorts of C**p through the Door. I Think I May have to make Up some sort of Poster to Deter That. Suggestions Very Welcome.
  3. Seeing that Notts have signed to of Crawley's Promotion Winning Team. Does it Beg the Question, did Crawley Town's Board think these players were Not up to League 1 standard ? Or is it that Notts have offered them a Better Contract?
  4. I remember travelling to Holland with School back in1969, It was part of a 10 days Cruise which also took in a visit to Norway. Travelling on a Coach through the Dutch country side at that time along side of the Motorway were fields and they alternated between Football and Baseball (which was at the time very Popular in Holland. Don't know if it still is). Matches for a Few Miles.
  5. @Robbie Ah then there is a Method In Your Madness. ????
  6. @Piethagoram Ah You Speak Hollish. Dank Daarvoor. Goed Werk
  7. @DeadlyMacca Come On Then Don't Leave Us On Tender Hooks. Like Hughie Green used to say It's Make Your Mind Up Time.
  8. I Hope You All Got That. From Fletcher Football. ????
  9. @Robbie That's All Rather Confusing Really. Before your Second Post I assumed you were having a Bit Of Laugh. @KingMaynard and @NottsTastic My intension was giving Teams who draw a match be it 1-1 3-3 or even 5-5. More reward than a Boring 0-0 draw and perhaps encourage teams to go out and Score. Maybe the Extra Point for an Aggregate Victory was a little on the Nose. But I Still Stand By My Idea Of 2 Points for a Score Draw. I can't Remember if there was much Debate about changing 2 points for a Win to 3 Points for a Win ? And also remember before Penalties were introduced in European Matches, if two sides were level on Aggregate those matches were decided on the Toss of a Coin.
  10. These People Aren't Fans. They're Just Complete and Total F****** A********. Each and every one who are Clearly Identified Need Banning For Life. Never Being Able to Attend Any Match in Any Football League Full Stop.
  11. With lots of things changing in the Game and New Ideas coming to the Fore. I thought I'll throw in my Two Pence Worth. Currently if a team wins a Game they get 3 points, and 1 point for a Draw. How about this. WIN 3 POINTS Score Draw 2 POINTS No Score Draw 1 Point Over All Aggregate Victory Over two Matches ( Notts 2 Opponents 0. Opponents 1 Notts 1 AGG Notts 3 Opponents 1) Notts extra League Point. THOUGHTS ?
  12. This Old Girl dies and goes to heaven. She's met by St Peter at the Pearly Gates. Name? asks Pete. Mary Smith. I've come to join my husband John Smith. Lady have you any idea how many John Smith's we've got up here? I need more than that. Well says the Old Girl. My husband said if I was ever unfaithful to his memory. He'd turn in his Grave. Ah You mean Spinning John Smith.
  13. @Fan of Big Tone Kippers and Custard I often wonder if that was ever a thing. I Like Kippers (but had them in Years) and I like Custard Nice and thick. I remember helping my Grandma shell Peas and being Told Off For Eating them. If you keep eating them they'll be None for your Dinner. I'll tell you what I Do Like Mushy Peas and Mint Sauce. Magic.
  14. Thankyou once again @Chris I'll let my Son have a look at this, because I haven't Got A Clue about what you've said. I am Totally Ignorant regarding Computer Stuff, but hopefully my Lad will Sort it out. That I'm afraid is my Answer To Everything Technology wise. Son what's this Mean? ????
  15. @RetroPie Well that's a New One to Me. Rhubarb and Roast Duck. I've always thought it was just for Dessert. You learn something New Every Day. The Leaves and other parts of the Rhubarb plant are very Toxic and can poison both Humans and Animals.???? Now going back to your question, I Hate most Veg but mainly Turnip. Because when I was in Junior school somebody placed Turnip on my dinner Plate and I refused to eat it. I was told by a Teacher if I didn't eat it I couldn't have my Pudding. I didn't eat it so wasn't allowed any Pudding. I went home and Told my Mum, to say she Hit the Roof would be an understatement. She marched down to the School the Next Day and All Hell Broke Loose. My Mum Never Swore but she did have the knack of Getting Her Point Across. Needless to say I Didn't have to eat Turnip and Still Don't To This Day.
  16. As I wasn't around between 1879 -1950, that Badge is New to Me. I'm only familiar with the more current Badges. I like the idea of a Crown being incorporated back into the England Badge Design. If I have a Scottish Counterpart he must have been Lived with the 2012-2013 England Badge of three Red Lions. Because the Scottish Badge is a Single Red Lion Rampant (on it's hind legs) looking forward on a Gold Background (depicted as Yellow on the Badge) with a double Red Boarder, and that has been around for many a Year. Thanks for Up Loading the Pictures @Chris I can now up date my Knowledge. If I only knew how to upload photos to the Site I'd show PON Members what the Real England Badge should look like.
  17. @RetroPie There are several types of covers which fully cover Wheelbarrows, if you keep it outside. Alternately if you keep in a Shed or Garage, to save space you could Always Hang it on a Wall. Plenty videos on You tube to show you how.
  18. @Robbie In my Opinion it's ruined Football. How Long Will It Be Before We see a Different XI in the Second half to the one which Started the Game? Sounds Daft But that seems to be the way things are going. I agree with you that it Benefits the Richer Clubs. In fact the Manchester City Second XI would have won the Premier League last season, if Not they would have come Very Close. How is that Fair? It isn't
  19. @DeadlyMacca If you insist in changing your Monika, then there's Really only one Name you need to Use. DeadlyBradd, Sir Les is after all the all time Leading Goal Scorer for Notts County. I Need To Say No More.
  20. @Chris To be honest I Prefer the Red Rose on the White England Rugby Shirt. Interestingly despite England being a Monarchy. It's only the England Cricket team Badge that signifies the Fact. That is the Crown placed above the 3 Lions. The only other UK Country with a Royal Cypher on it's International Badge is Wales. They have a Coronet encircling the Prince of Wales three Ostrich Feathers, on their Rugby Union Shirt. However our Friends from Wrexham have the P.O.W. Cypher incorporated on their Team Badge.
  21. @Chris Promoting from within doesn't always work, look at Steve Maclaren. Southgate did well with the U21's and he could handle the Step Up, but Carsley May find the Step Up to bigger a Gap or take to it like a Duck to Water. I know Carsley has had success with the U21's but The Best Thing would be is make him Interim Manager , that way the F.A. and the Fans will have an idea how Carsley acts under Pressure of being the National Teams Head Coach.
  22. @Chris Can you just Imagine the Out Cry if a Teacher was allowed to carry a Gun for His or Her Safety? And the Carnage they could cause if for some Reason they ever had a Mental Problem or some such Illness. I would have thought they'd be a way for a School, Collage or University to check a Pupil/Student for any type of weapon with a Metal Detector similar to what they have at Airports. There must be someway with all the Technology we have today, to Stop Any Would Be Killer from gaining Access to a place of Education.
  23. Lets Be Real. How Much Do You Think Hiring Pep would be? Southgate's Wages would look Like Peanuts Compared to what the F.A. would have to Pay the Manchester City Head Coach. I will also Stick to My Statement of NO FOREIGN COACHES. Why ? Because A Foreign Coach just won't be fully committed to the English Cause.. Look at the Foreign Coaches England have already had. Sven Yeah he Did So So The Less said about Capello the Better. Do you want a Rank Outsider? Look No Further than Former Notts Manager Luke Williams. He'll quickly get the Fans on side (as he did at the Lane). Earn Great Respect From his Players because His Man Management Skills are Superb. get somebody in to help him with the Defence and Bingo Everything You Need In A New Head Coach.
  24. @Robbie That's a Fair Line Up. I think SM will stick mainly with players he knows for match One and Two. Not sure if Matt Palmer will be fit enough, he could get a few minutes off the Bench The Strike Force of Jatta and Scott looks good, I do think Nemane will start. I'm also fairly certain every player will get some minutes in the First Half Dozen or so Matches. Stuart should by then know his Preferred Starting XI and which Substitutes to have on the Bench.
