In appreciation of Jodi Jones
You ain't Kidding Robbie that goal at the end of a mazy run will take a lot of beating in the Goal of the Season category. And it would be a shame if we lost Jodie to a team in League 1 next season because if things had been different at the Lane the Magpies could have been in a Promotion Spot. With Luck he may decide to remain with Notts one more season to see if the Magpies can gain Promotion. If this the case a contract extension should be offered in the off season. But if Jodi does decide to leave yes he will be hard to replace, but not impossible last season when Ruben left it was felt his influence would be missed but Dan Crowley hasn't done to bad a job in covering his position.

Eli Sam's team progression
Nice One. I'm Pleased for the Lad. I think he didn't really get a Fair Crack of the Whip at Notts and I could understand him wanting to move away from the Lane. But do you remember that over the head goal he scored for Notts, that seemed like everybody on Social Media was talking about? I t was even put forward for the Puskas Award but didn't even get a Mention. After all how could a player representing a Club like Notts County be even considered for the Award? TOTAL FOOTBALL SNOBERY . Now if Eli had scored the goal playing for oh say Man City Liverpool or Arsenal he would have probably Won the damn Award.

Robbie Maybe it wouldn't be a Bad Idea for the new Notts website to have a page in which Fans could ask such questions like yours i.e. the concourses and other things regarding the Stadium, and be given an answer quickly and an answer that's in plain English and doesn't rattle on for what seems like for ever. I agree the Pitch and the Stadium should take top priority and maybe something could be done about the Gents toilets? Like hot water and the hand drying units. It strikes me that the New CEO wants to Race ahead with things I hope he and his team take time to think things through and where the Money is coming from because I'm sure Chris and Alex haven't got bottomless pockets, neither have the Fans. Taking on to many projects could end up Crippling the Club's finances. and Notts certainly Don't Want To Return to an Hardy like Era. And just because say Wrexham or Mansfield have got such and such , doesn't mean Notts Need to have the Same. I would say the Top Priority at the Lane is a Top Class Playing Surface for the Players to Play On and Fans can enjoy watching a match in Comfort.

The case for the defence.....
Proof if any is needed the Notts Defence isn't up to League 2 Standard.

Statement from Joe Palmer Notts Chief Executive
This sounds amazing but the one thing which raises it's Ugly Head is MONEY. How will this effect the average Notts Fan? I.e. Season ticket cost or Match Day admission? There is a recession going on which doesn't appear to be coming to an end any time soon, not matter which Political Party is running the country. The Cost of living is Sky High paying bills putting food on the table and dressing your kids is going to take Priority above anything Notts can come up with. And pricing out the ordinary Fan isn't going to help the Club in the Long Run, I know this isn't all going to happen straight away but the Cost to any new vendors as well as Fans using any of the new facilities must be affordable or things such as the Nest will be poorly attended and could end up being a White Elephant. Hopefully the people in charge of these projects are experts in their field and will have worked out the cost and what sort of income is required cover those costs. One thing that did puzzle me was the Paddle Centre is it? How much money did that cost and is the centre making any money for the Club? It's all right having these Bright Ideas let's just hope they will be a Big Financial Help to the Club.

Jokers Wild: Joke Of The Day.
The Loan Ranger comes across his friend Tonto laying down with his ear pressed to the ground. What are you up to Tonto Old Friend? asks the Lone Ranger. Stage coach come this way Six horses two black three chestnut and one Grey. Driver had beard and pimple on his left cheek. Stage Guard holds rifle in his left hand he's clean shaven and as broken nose. Inside coach six passengers four men two women. That's amazing Tonto and you can tell this just by having your ear to the ground? Oh No Kimosabie the bloody Coach ran over my Head.

Where will Macca and Jodi end up?
There is of course a lot of talk of where Macca and Jodi may end up next season. So here are my thoughts. During the January Transfer window there was a lot of speculation that Macca was on the move and some Media even declared he was on to way to several different Clubs. Sunderland Birmingham City and near neighbours Derby County were mentioned, thankfully nothing materialized and it was just paper talk. However the rumour mill will soon be bubbling along and Macca will come under the Micro Scope of other clubs so if Macca does move where will he Go? If Derby renewed their interest and paid a decent amount for his services and he moved to Pride Park I think there may be a lot of Notts Fans who might just nip down the A52 for a look and see how Macca would deal with life in the Championship should the Rams get Promoted. Don't be surprised if Luke Williams doesn't try and convince the Swansea board to take a look at Macca. Finally it certainly wouldn't be (I think) out of the realms of possibility that our Friends over the Boarder in Wales Wrexham put in a Bid should they get into League 1. It will be up to the owners to convince Macca to stay at the Lane ( I hope they do) but with the signing of AJ the return of Cedwyn Scott and Didzy will it be hoped by the Notts Board they have enough cover should Macca be Sold to another Club? Jodi Jones Record Breaker, Jodi Jones League 2 Player of the Season (Possibly) Shush keep it quiet. But a player that good Notts can't keep his skills and Talent undercover. At the age of 26 beating 3 ACL injuries looking at a possible early retirement from the game, shows beyond any shadow of a doubt Jodi Jones is also a Fighter a Guy who doesn't know the meaning of the word quit, and Now (hopefully) with his injury worries behind him, clubs higher up the Football Pyramid are Taking Note. Could Jodi hold down a place in the Championship? Maybe but I think it's more than likely should Jodi leave the Lane this coming off season it will be to a League 1 Club and that's where Wrexham (should they be promoted) come in. If the Red Dragons do (and it seems highly likely) get promotion then a Double Bid for Macca and Jodie (I believe ) wouldn't be much of a surprise they would of course face opposition from other League 1 Clubs in Jodi's case and League 1 and Championship Clubs in Macca's. What ever the outcome and I hope both are still playing in the Black & White Stripes of Notts County next season, both Guys will hold a Place in the Hearts of all Magpie Fans and each deserve our Thanks for the Huge contribution to they have made to the History of Notts County Football Club. Thoughts?

Luke Williams watch
And still the Swans sit in 15th place in the Championship. Luke Williams seems to be in the a similar sort of position as Stuart Maynard (but as won more matches) by that I mean it's not his Squad so will he be given more time to rebuild Swansea into the image he produced at the Lane with Notts? I read that the Swansea owners have pumped £2 million into the club, but will any of that be available for Williams to buy players?

200 League goals In less than 2 Seasons.
A Remarkable Achievement Indeed Robbie. Lets hope the Magpies can keep up their Goal Scoring Antics next season, but lets hope they don't Concede has many Eh?

In appreciation of Jodi Jones
This Praise is Excellent for Jodi the only problem is, it will alert other clubs of his skills and performances, as if they weren't aware of him already. If Notts could hold onto him his influence on the team next season will help immensely with the Magpies Promotion Push and I would hope out of Loyalty he will Remain at the Lane. With Notts being the only club to gamble on him, when it appeared no other team were interested in him. No I'm Not kidding myself I understand if Jodi needs to express his Talent at a higher level and a Transfer would bring in more money for his young Family, but it would be nice to think he would hang around to help get the Magpies into League 1. But if he goes during the off season I for one wouldn't begrudge him a move, and he will leave us with some Amazing Memories like his Goal against Boreham Wood in last season's Playoff Semi Final.

Match Discussion: Game 43 - Sulphurites (H)
Well I'm Happy to be Proven Wrong. I thought at Best Notts would get a Draw. But the 3-0 victory will give everyone a Boost. But it might have been a totally different game if Harrogate had taken a couple of their chances and had scored their Penalty. But they didn't and it seemed Luck was with Notts for a change. Young Ashby-Hammond had an excellent game and should have been MOTM, it strange but a Keeper never seems to get that honour. There are still glaring problems with the defence which hopefully will be sorted over the Summer. It was nice to see Macca back on the score sheet, with a well taken Penalty and he's now only 4 goals shy of the 30 goal mark. Jodi's mazy run and goal was a joy to watch and it's clear to see why Clubs higher up the Football Pyramid will be looking at him. Jim also proved that like AJ he too can score with his head. But lets not get carried away after past victories Notts have failed to build on their Win and have Lost their following match lets hope they can get a result at Walsall. I'm still Not Convinced about Stuart Maynard but the Guy seemed more Relaxed in his after match interview and he's starting to hopefully settle into his role. If the Magpies can go undefeated till the end of the season, not only will it give the Team confidence for next season but will bring dissatisfied Fans back on side and make Maynard's Task a lot more easier.

Jokers Wild: Joke Of The Day.
I went to one of those Aromatherapists , this chap came in to the room Farted and said that'll be £25. What's got three wheels and goes along a River Bed at 100mph? A Motor Pike and side Carp. There were two Old Guys in an Old Folks home leaning on their Zimmer Frames chatting about the Old Days. One chap says Do you realise if we'd Smoked more Cigarettes, Drunk more Booze Taken more Drugs and had more Women. We'd have Missed all this.

Update from Notts County Board of Directors
Well it seems that the appalling 2024 results haven't gone unnoticed by the Board which is a Good Sign. And hopefully the Metrics that's been studied shows which players need replacing and which positions need Strengthening particularly in Defence. It would also seem Maynard is going to stay, however how this will affect Season Ticket Sales Remains to be Seen. To get dissatisfied Fans back on side I think Notts and Maynard are going to have to Win their last Five Games. Injuries have played apart in Notts Decline, which is an indication there needs to be a Greater Depth in the Notts Squad, however that doesn't mean the Board going out and buying Players Willy Nilly as under past owners, but reading the report the Brothers are well aware that the Club's Financial Stability is First and Foremost. There is a plan Liverpool have adopted under Jurgen Klopp which if it isn't being done at the Lane, perhaps could be put into practice. That is all players both senior and youth plus their Coaches all eat together and talk and discuss things and how to adopt to the way the Head Coach wants the team to play tactically, so not only Fringe players (when they get the chance) can easily slip into their role when they're required it's the same for the Youth Team. This is how the Liverpool youngsters helped the Reds beat Chelsea in the League Cup Final. Imagine if Notts did the same, so even the Magpies youngsters could fit seamlessly into the Notts system .It's Nice To see We Fans have been praised for our support Now we need something to cheer again. I would hope though it's Not Expected that Notts will run away with the Title next season if they are Promoted all Well and Good, bit it's not the End of the World if they Don't. C.O.Y.P.

Torquay United enter Administration
Robbie You're Bang on with your remarks about the Top Six PL clubs and to think if a player say Haarland at Man City donated one weeks wages it would probably pay off Torquay's debts. The Financial Structure within English Football is so very very wrong.

University research on the role of football in response to military conflict
What? I'm sorry but what the Hell has Football got to do with Military Conflict ? Unless of course your idea is instead of countries going to War they have a Football Match to sort out their differences.? Winner takes it all? And No I've Not taken your survey and have No intension of doing so. What's Next ? Asking Football Fans views on which club as the Best Singing Fans and should they represent the UK in Eurovision?

Torquay United enter Administration
And to think only a few years ago they were close to getting Promoted back to the EFL.

Jokers Wild: Joke Of The Day.
A Mate of mine is an impressionist and a rather Good One, he does a very funny skit about Star Trek. I'd not seen him in awhile but bumped into him the other day. Hello Phil not seen you in awhile where have you been? I asked. I took my act all around Europe, in fact I'm just back from Northern France. Oh Dunkirk? Yes he replied And Spock, Scottie and Doctor McCoy.

Time to be Positive about Season 2023/24
Robbie All of Your positives should be Celebrated. It's just that I think there could have been so Much More and like you have said Lets hope Chris & Alex manage to Top Up That Glass, for the Start of 2024/20255.

The New Scottish Hate Law.
This is Interesting the Scottish Hate Law that as come into affect will cause havoc in Scottish Football and quite possibly English football as well. By that I mean if you say something write some and another person finds it offensive then you could End Up Going To Jail for up to Seven Years. So that means Fans won't be able to Chant or call out a bad decision made by a Match Official because if he feels he's being victimised then what will happen? Does it mean Clubs will be fined? Will clubs have to install C.C.T.V to try and locate Fans who have said or appeared to say something against an official or even another Fan either one of their own or the opposition? And get that Person Arrested? So lets see what Chants would have to be stopped by Notts supporters. You're Not Singing Any More. A visiting Fans is upset because the Kop are insinuating they can't Sing! I had a Wheelbarrow the wheel fell off this gives the impression that who ever built the Wheelbarrow produced Shoddy Workmanship. You Don't Know What You're Doing, this clearly Shows that it's being insinuated that the person who's being shouted at is Thick or Stupid. Get In, this will upset opposition Fans because they don't want their Team Scored Against. Chants or expressions that will be alright (or Perhaps Not) Excuse me Mr Referee but I Believe you got that Decision Wrong. I can loan you my Spectacles if you wish. I think that player is a Real Hard illegitimate child. I think our Head Coach is unsure about the team's line up. And I'm sure Fellow Magpie Fans can think up other things I May Have Missed.

The Notts issues
I was going to say something Robbie but I think it would just be going over Old Ground.

Jokers Wild: Joke Of The Day.
I was at the Doctors having a check up and he asked what colour are your Stools? He looked a bit confused when I said they're light brown with a Tartan top. I got home the other day and found I'd locked myself out. Looking through the window I saw the Cat Let me I said. The Cat looked at me and said Me Ow? We've got a New Puppy which the kids sat on a Piece of Sandpaper they then asked How do you feel Puppy, the answer was Ruff. Then there was the Astronaut who declared he was going to land on the Sun. When asked how he was going to achieve this, he replied he was going to Travel at Night.
