Alex Rodman: 'Notts County need to look at the bigger picture'
Local derby matches need the fire in the belly more than any other game I feel , and much of what wins other games often isn't enough to win one of these without said fire , this with Mansfield kind of reminds me of when we had that over florist some years ago , they must have hated it like we do this

Alex Rodman: 'Notts County need to look at the bigger picture'
Much of what is said above is true , and if we collect maximum points from the 2 home games this week it will be quickly forgotten what happened at Mansfield, Let's hope we get back to winning ways quickly COYP

Match Discussion: EFL Northern Group F - The Dale (A)
As it's a group we aren't out as yet , a win away at Sunderland would see notts through , don't think personally it will have any impact on our league form , bring on Mansfield Saturday , hope we are bang up for it , I'm sure we will be , and let's hope for a better result than last season , COYP

Notts assistant boss Mark Crossley praises Stanley Aborah for "good response"

Match Discussion: EFL Northern Group F - The Dale (A)
The only interest for me is that we don't get injuries for the league , Stags away Saturday is much more interesting to think about so no key players injured is all I want .

Match Discussion: Game 9 - Orient (H)
A few wins at home will steady the home nerves I'm sure both on the pitch and in the seats , confidence is key , we are on the path towards a good season I'm sure , COYP

Match Discussion: Game 9 - Orient (H)
Good arguments put well above , defo need young Richards energy in midfield in what will be a difficult game I feel , don't think much will be changed tho if anything . 3 5 2 for me .

Match Discussion: Game 6 - The Mariners (H)
Oliver may not be for the football purist what they want to see , but this is league 2 and the qualities he showed when he came on were first class and needed at this level to , so well done , a point when we looked destined for none is a bonus , we would definitely have lost that game last season I'm sure , and came close to winning it to when not at our best . John Sheridan: 'EFL Trophy good chance of reaching Wembley'
Don't think in all honesty you would expect or want a different approach from ya manager , he needs to be politically correct maybe , think this whole thing is about how the fans feel , and the bigger position in the eyes of many of a back door way of gaining momentum for the new league layout being spoken of .

Match Discussion: EFL Trophy - Monkey Hangers (H)

Match Discussion: EFL Trophy - Monkey Hangers (H)
@Elite_pie agree with you when you say respect to them , as for any clubs that voted in favour , fans do what's necessary and boycott .

Notts Alumni - Raddy Avramovic
As above , what a fantastic read , that really brought back memories , thanks for the trip down memory lane , and lots of facts about his career after Notts , he was a brilliant goalkeeper Remember many outstanding displays by Raddy , a double reflex save at the lane in front of the cop springs to mind truely sensational save . Brilliant article well written .

Match Discussion: EFL Trophy - Monkey Hangers (H)
Agree with @weymouthPIE , the only thing of proper interest across the competition will be the numbers through the turnstiles , destined to be a huge flop .

Match Discussion: Game 5 - Red Devils (A)
Agree @wacky its poor to say the least , thought it was just me being grumpy and not taking to the change , much preferred the old football league show . Last night our league table for instance ???

Excellent away win , slowly but surely progress being made , COYP
-
Jack Bearne
Bang on with that @Elite_pie , for me it's one of the major things wrong with the way football is now , another way for lower league clubs to progress flourish even , and for some a way to make ends meet , taken away by the so called elite rich clubs .

Match Discussion: Game 5 - Red Devils (A)
If we can cut out going a goal down early on and stay in the game I don't see why we can't go on to pick up maximum points , would be good to get back to back away wins confidence would increase loads in the players and for us fans also COYP

John Sheridan 'to select different Notts players away from home'
It could work in my opinion , think yesterday was an example of the frailties at the back giving us a mountain to climb from early on so for me that is more of a priority to sort, still feel another CB experienced and a no nonsense type would improve us quiet considerably, then you can stay in a game and build going forward, not sure about vadaine Oliver but he will make it uncomfortable for centre backs because of his style of play , maybe Forte will benefit from that , who knows , sure we will improve whatever path JS takes .

Stat Attack: Yeovil Town vs. Notts County, 6 August 2016
Great read again like normal Joe Jones , great stats , today's game tricky one given its the opening game , feel nervous and optimistic at the same time , come on 3 o'clock and a hearty COYP
-
Mark Crossley: 'Notts County always hunting for more players'
Think a CB would be on my list , then given a not to bad injury wise season , and if not many get moved on , that maybe would be it , given we have young players to who can be given a chance . COYP
