Fan of Big Tone

I hate making scapegoats but watching the live stream yesterday I do think Aidan Stone could have done better with some if not all the goals yesterday. He did save a penalty though which is a feat in itself but I think Notts could do better in this department, having said that the defence obviously must share some of the blame. Whats everyone’s thoughts on Stone.

Yes Trolley Buses were brilliant they ran from overhead electric wires connected by poles, I used to catch one on Arkwright Sreet to get into town there was a terminus on Trent Bridge, I don’t think they came down Meadow Lane, a little single decker petrol bus (No. 8 I think) came down Meadow Lane from Sneinton to Trent Bridge. How will you be celebrating the New Year (or not)? We don’t do New Year parties, we beer have really except for small family parties, this year will be no different, tonight we are having one of my favourite curries Lamb Rogan Josh it’s expensive to make but so delicious. Then we’ll see how tired we are and if we want to stay up to see the New a year in, we used to open the front and back door to let the new year in and the old year out but we don’t usually bother now. Will you be celebrating? Is so how?

That’s a great result, Notts were awesome especially in the first half and those who said Langstaff wouldn’t cut the mustard in the league can eat their words, he’s now on 18 goals mid way through the season. We’ve had our wobble now we’re back on full throttle, keep it up lads. ????

So many great players have played for Notts but no one will be surprised that my favourite player of all time is Tony Hateley aka ‘Big Tone’.

Let’s take one step at a time, I’m ecstatic that we are back in the league and it looks like we are safe from returning to the National League, I’d love to get into League One at the first time of asking but if not I’d still be happy, talk of the Championship and beyond is a bit premature. I’m really happy that Notts have a sustainable plan to take us forward and aren’t looking to sell players, the only worry I have is if we lose Luke Williams to a bigger club, then we get a bad manager who takes us backwards.
