  4. Here we are again, another weekend is upon us. Curry night tonight and Mrs. T will be serving up a delightful lamb and apricot curry which I am very much looking forward to, I’ll wash it down with a pint of Old Speckled Hen and I’ll be in heaven. Tomorrow is match day so I’ll be there with George my grandson cheering on the Pies and hoping for a win. I was hoping to do a park run but the course is flooded so that’s out. Not sure about Sunday yet, probably just a day of rest. Whats everyone else’s plans?
  5. That’s like me and Mrs. T, we have to hide screens from each other. ????
  6. I wonder where we’d be now and what we’d be doing if those people hadn’t met in the George Hotel? We’d probably all be supporting the other Nottingham team. ???? I wonder if @super_ram can remember it, he’d be around 12 then.
  7. Cameron’s interview was a good honest one and what else could he say, the failings were there for all to see, I’m glad to hear that they are pulling out all the stops to rectify the situation, I know they will be hurting as much as the fans. I really hope we can get a clean sheet to give them confidence going forward.
  8. A big PoN welcome to @TT1970 it’s great to have you here on our friendly football community. Please take time to introduce yourself we’d love to hear about you.
  9. @super_ram @Piethagoram @Ohh Tommy Johnson and anyone else. Here’s another word game to tax your brain box. Swap the letters round to form words but you’ve only go so many tries. https://wafflegame.net/daily I’ve been doing this for some time so I’ve built up a streak. #waffle685 3/5 ???????????????????? ????⭐????⬜???? ????????⭐???????? ????⬜????⭐???? ???????????????????? ???? streak: 7 wafflegame.net

  11. This will make @super_ram’s night. Fulham 5 F*rest 0 Taxi for Cooper?
  12. @liampie My old Dad used to say “you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink” in other words no matter how much coercing, begging, encouraging etc., you do people will make their own choices and we have to respect that, it’s a shame many old favourites have left but who knows one day they might return like I did. Meanwhile other new friends join us and they become regulars.
  13. I’m worried that the defensive 3 will be really nervous after recent performances, they’ll be desperate not to make any mistakes which could affect their performance, I hope if they do make the odd slip up that the crowd doesn’t start getting on their backs, let’s be supportive rather than critical and see them through this sticky patch.
  14. Back to five today, I’ll have to start using @Piethagoram’s tactics. Wordle 900 5/6* ⬜????⬜⬜⬜ ⬜????⬜????⬜ ????????⬜⬜⬜ ⬜???????????????? ????????????????????
  15. On Saturday Notts take on Walsall at Meadow Lane, how many links between the two clubs can we find? Brett Angel came to us on loan I remember him scoring a hattrick on his debut but his stay was short lived he only made 6 appearances, he had a brief spell at Preston N.E. Before moving to Walsall making 61 appearances and scoring 16 goals. How many more links can we find?
  16. For me it’s got to be Dan Crowley, I think he’s playing below the level he should be, he has a amazing ability to twist and turn out of trouble and the fire in an amazing cross for Langstaff or McGoldrick, if he’s not doing that he’s popping up in the right place to score a great goal himself and he’s scored some great headers for someone who isn’t the tallest player.
  17. @AmericanPie I’m really pleased to hear the operation was successful I bet you feel like a new man.
  18. I thought I’d done well until I saw @Piethagoram’s score, I reckon he’s got ESP, how do you go from none in the first line to correct in the second? Wordle 899 3/6* ⬜????⬜????⬜ ⬜????????????⬜ ????????????????????
  19. I’m not sure that the club owning the ground would necessarily be a good thing, it’s in a prime position, if the brothers moved on and sold up it could fall into the hands of property developers and be sold for development and we the fans wouldn’t have a say, whereas if the council own it they have the voters to answer to.
  20. What happened to that Irish defender we had made bids for, is he available free in January?
  21. I watched the FA Cup highlights and noticed that Enzio is now plying his trade at Eastleigh. They beat League 1 Reading in the 2nd round and Enzio had a hand in both goals, looked like he had a good game.
  22. I think you are right about Facebook and the like having a detrimental affect on forums which is a real shame, I would rather post on a well moderated forum than Facebook which is largely un moderated. I do think that there is definitely a place for forums, where people can get into the habit of talking to the rest of the community especially a friendly one like this, it can even help well being and mental health especially when members are supportive of each other.
  23. @Chris good luck with the pain rehab I hope it helps with the pain and weight loss that would be a double bonus.
