  1. Don’t forget that if you subscribe you can cancel any time if your circumstances change, there are three options £5, £7.50 and £10, I think it’s better than random donations because you don’t have to remember to do it and depending on you level you get something back plus the knowledge you are helping your favourite website/forum.
  2. What’s everyone got planned for the weekend? Who’s heading to the lane tonight? Who’s Christmas Shopping? Who’s seeing family? What are your plans, let us know. I’m coming to the end of our week in snowy Whitby, tonight we are heading out for a curry it’ll make a change for Mrs. T she usually cooks curry on Friday when we are at home. Tomorrow we are travelling home, we have to go over the moors on a road which has been closed this week because of snow, I hope it’s clear tomorrow otherwise we’ll be extending our stay. It’s not all been snow here’s a few pics. The last pic isn’t mine but one someone posted on the local facebook group.
  3. Crikey! Poor old Charlie but thank goodness he’s ok now, excellent advice about getting your eyes checked regularly, the optician can see a lot of potential health problems when they look in your eyes, not only eye problems. My old mam had glaucoma and lost most of her sight, she’s sadly no longer with us but she always told me to look after my eyes I’m happy to follow that advice.
  4. Oh yes I could manage that alright.
  5. My opening word is usually the first thing that pops into my head, I think if I got it in one I’d be disappointed because I like working it out, so when @super_ram takes five or six goes he’s actually exercising his ancient brain.
  6. “When asked about what he enjoyed seeing compared to the previous game, Williams emphasised the importance of energy. "Energy and aggression were back. There was a period where we didn't make enough tackles in the middle due to fatigue, but the substitutes brought more bite. Junior's pressing was fantastic, giving everyone a lift." Got to agree with Lukey Boy, I love it when Notts play with energy and aggression this is what fans want to see as long as it’s controlled aggression of course.
  7. Let’s face it if that goalie had been Slocombe or Stone then we as Notts fans would have been enraged that the goal was given.
  8. I’m happy to pay for a tv licence rather than having to watch the adverts that commercial channels use to fund their programmes.
  9. I think it should have been a foul on the goalkeeper, he may have been time wasting, if he was then the ref should book him and add time on.
  10. Does anyone in their right mind watch GB News?
  11. Plymouth Argyle 1-0 Stoke City Swansea City 2-0 Huddersfield Town (joker) Cambridge United 3-0 Fleetwood Town Crewe Alexandra 0-2 Bristol Rovers Gillingham 1-1 Charlton Athletic Newport County 1-2 Barnet Halifax Town 1-3 Solihull Moors Oxford City 4-1 Maidenhead United
  12. Ever wondered what all the fuss is about the Elgin Marbles? James Ancaster describes it perfectly. ????
  13. One of my all time favourites, I loved listening to The Pogues in my misspent youth.
  14. Well done @Piethagoram Wordle 894 3/6* ⬜????⬜⬜???? ????????⬜????⬜ ????????????????????
  15. I used to watch Newsnight regularly when Paxman did it I thought he was brilliant.
  16. On Friday night Notts take on Shrewsbury Town in the 2nd round of the FA Cup, how many links between the two clubs can we find? I believe Mark Stallard played for the Shrews and of course became a fans favourite at Notts. Can anyone add any more links?
  17. Well done and massive congratulations to @Piethagoram and @super_ram both of you highly deserve this award.
  18. I managed to stream this live while on holiday in Whitby and it was an exciting match, I feared the worst when we went one down but I needn’t have worried, if there’s on thing we know of this current squad is that they are capable of fighting back from adversity and they certainly didn’t disappoint. All three goals were great Didsy and Jim’s goals were sublime and I was delighted for Junior Morias as he scored his first goal from open play, you could tell it meant the world to him and his team mates were obviously delighted for him too.
  19. I decided to subscribe to PoN after reading another forum which was full of annoying adverts, it made me really appreciate PoN, adverts are a useful source of income which helps with the running costs of websites and forums which for a site like this can be very expensive and for a forum/website to be ad free is very unusual and means funding must be found elsewhere. So if (and only if) you can afford a few pounds a month to help @Chris and his team continue the excellent work on here then I urge you to click the link below and look at the options. Every member is of course valued whether you can afford to subscribe or not. https://prideofnottingham.co.uk/subscriptions/
  20. Wordle 893 3/6* ⬜????????⬜⬜ ⬜????⬜????⬜ ???????????????????? And me, tricky though.
  21. In his interview when asked if he was withdrawn because of tactics or injury Luke Williams said yes there was “a problem” with Slocombe or words to that affect, I took that to mean an injury of some kind which may have affected his game. When he came on Stone seemed to go long more rather than passing it short whether he was instructed to do that or not I’m not sure.
  22. That’s brilliant, I wish I could draw or paint, unfortunately my artistic creative skills are zilch.
  23. It was a great diving header and as you say @Chris it came at just the right time, the celebration was brilliant, Jim is a proper warrior and appears to love the club I hope we can find a role for him when he hangs up his boots but hopefully that won’t be for a while.
  24. I couldn’t agree more, in fact I was coming on to say almost exactly the same thing, I’m delighted for him and now hopefully he can kick on if he’s given some game time. The first half I was worried Slocombe seemed to be really struggling the fact that he was taken off injured at half time perhaps explains this, Stone came and dealt with everything that came his way admirably. Overall a good positive showing from Notts especially in the second half, we need to start working on our goal difference now so we can move up the table.
