Luke Williams Anticipates Tough Encounter Against In-Form Crewe Alexandra
As I said in the match thread this will be a very hard game for us and all the players will need to perform 100% to get anything out of the game. A draw would be a great result a win would be absolutely tremendous but with the amount of players unavailable I’m pessimistic.

Caramac production ends as Nestle closes Newcastle factory
I don’t eat many chocolates or sweets these days I think your tastes change as you get older, I think I remember Caramac being quite a unique taste when I’ve had one when I was younger, I quite liked them. However my favourite chocolate bar was Galaxy.

Weekend Plans - 10th -12th November
@super_ram the banana bread beer was……how can I put it?……different, it definitely had a taste of bananas but quite subtle, not overpowering, so on the whole not bad, definitely drinkable but I probably wouldn’t buy it by choice. We had a new curry Mrs. T hadn’t cooked before so I was her sous chef in the kitchen to help with the prep, it was a Rick Stein recipe from his India book, it was chicken and apricot curry, it was fabulous, just the right heat and had sweet and sour taste with the apricots and wine vinegar. I’ve got a bottle of Rosy Nosey for tomorrow it’s from the Batemans brewery, it promises, fruity flavours of raisins. Sounds good, it’s £1.50 from Morrisons, I’ll let you know my verdict.

Lubeck Martyrs ... important pieces of history that need airing, so as to never happen again
Oh my goodness it certainly is a hard read, I had no idea about this. ????

Lubeck Martyrs ... important pieces of history that need airing, so as to never happen again
An interesting story, the Nazis were certainly barbaric and committed some horrendous war crimes but I’d not heard of this, I thought that use of the guillotine had died out after the French Revolution.

Lampard for Oxford United???
@super_ram might have an opinion on that, Lampard did take the Rams to a play off final, is that success or failure?

Notts Fans Forum
No worries @Piethagoram a moderator ( @DangerousSausage?) was quick off the mark and merged the topics. I love your questions, particularly the monorail one. I wonder how many younger readers or new fans will wonder what you mean.

Weekend Plans - 10th -12th November
Morning all, what plans do you have for the weekend? Curry night tonight, not sure which delight Mrs. T will be conjuring up but it’s sure to be a nice one. I’ve got a Banana Bread beer to wash it down from Lidl not had it before maybe @super_ram has had it? Tomorrow the park run is still partially flooded and they are doing a different route which means three laps of a smaller area, so I don’t think I’ll bother with that, three laps gets a bit boring, instead I’ll do a little run around our local streets then settle in to listen to Notts match on the radio. Whats everyone else doing or been doing if you read this later.

Notts Fans Forum
Notts are holding a fans forum on 21st November, I won’t be there because it’s season ticket holders only by the looks of it plus another small matter is that it’s Mrs. T’s birthday and I value my life. https://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/news/2023/november/fans-forum-081123/?fbclid=IwAR1eOdLSa7xbAmXhRSJGgkMFkq5rkJpU5Cx0kU9JsNYrfusqNJBgfGjQEwc_aem_AT9K68Us5314Crc3bZYejeoRin53fQ7hYg_14aPg5TnA6ixxzBhJiOiipEJuPBxOybM

Luke Williams : Oxford Utd interest?
I sincerely hope there is nothing in this story but when you’ve been as successful as we have other clubs are bound to come sniffing around our manager, whether Oxford are a club that will tempt him away is another matter. Let’s hope he sees Notts as a project that needs to be completed before he moves on to bigger and better things.

Match Discussion: Game 17 - The Railwaymen (A)
I agree @Chris I think this will be a really tough game, both teams like to play football on the floor so that will certainly suit Notts, however I hope I’m wrong but I think this might be a win for Crewe, they have home advantage and we have a weakened squad at the moment. You can all have a good laugh at my expense when we win.

James Perch is hosting Dan Gosling
I watched match talk last night on Notts TV and James Perch former Forest and Mansfield player was a guest. When it came to talking about Notts and their new signing Dan Gosling, James Perch said he was staying at his house. When asked how that came about he said they were friends from their Newcastle days and Dan phoned up and said he’d signed for Notts and asked if he could stay with Perch. Perch said he’d look after him and make sure he got the right food and said he’ll score on Saturday.

A blast from the past. Can we ask an old mate a favour and ask him to loan Reuben back to us.

Lost railways of Nottingham
Thanks @Piethagoram great pictures at the end of the article, that’s how I remember it and my memory of going to Victoria from there was correct as it did. It closed in 1967 I reckon it’d be about 1962 when I used to ride to Victoria station to train spot from the high level station, I’d be 10 years old my brother was 15, my mam used to make him take me everywhere. I can hear her now “look after your little brother”, it must have been a right pain in the backside for my brother David, sadly he’s no longer with us, I’d love to share these memories with him. ????

Lincoln City Emerges Victorious in Gruelling Encounter with Notts County
Unusually for me I couldn’t even be bothered to listen to the radio commentary consequently I’m not the slightest bit concerned that we lost it was a run out for some fringe players and that’s it, we move on to more important matters.
