I don’t know who chooses the songs for the build up during the match as the team are coming out the tunnel but Brainbug - Nightmare is excellent, it really builds up the tension especially in big games. What do others think?

Yes I saw that on Weird World War as well.

If he struggled with that I wonder how he’d get on now! I don’t know how present day commentators remember all the pronunciations.

I love seeing old pictures of Nottingham too @Chris it brings back so many memories when you can remember them as they were. I’m a member of a couple of old Nottingham Facebook groups and the pictures are great.

Those who didn’t attend missed a cracking game but I understand that finances of people with a limited budget and or families probably plays a huge part in any decision to attend. Personally I always find the FA Cup and exciting fixture to attend and at £10 for an old fogey it was great value.

Notts have certainly moved quickly to secure a replacement for Palmer and what a signing! Dan Gosling is straight out of the top drawer and will be a fantastic addition to the squad, the only shame is that it’s a short term signing, I wonder if they have eyes on a more permanent arrival in January?

The attendance for the Crawley game was less than 4,000 which is very poor considering our recent success in the league, I know it was a horrible day weather wise but even so…. I thought the cheaper ticket price might tempt more out, are people getting tired of the FA Cup?

I read somewhere that our owners’ father is a billionaire so hopefully Notts future is bright while they are in charge.

I haven’t read all of that article because of the annoying pop up ads, they drive me mad. However I am old enough to remember when Beeching closed down stations it was a crying shame. I remember the high level station on London Road (or was it Arkwright Street) If memory serves me right me and my brother used to catch a train to Victoria Station and spend all day train spotting, I vividly remember seeing The Royal Scot at Victoria Station.

Thank you @piethagoram that brings back memories of the great man. 1971 was before I met my lovely wife and at 19 years of age I was footloose and fancy free, I used to go to every game home or away sometimes in a friends battered old van and sometimes on the train, a whole bunch from my work place used to travel, so I would have been at that match, those were really happy days and what a season that was we stormed the fourth division as champions and Big Tone scored 23 goals. Happy days.

Surely Dion Kelly Evans is better than this? I always liked him he was a battler for us, he deserves to play at a higher level doesn’t he?

I’m not sure what the rules are about fielding first team players but if I was Luke Williams I’d put out a team of fringe/youth players, this is a game we could really do without, I know Williams says he wants to win every match but I would gladly see us lose this one.

He didn’t cover himself with glory did he? I thought he looked very nervous and his kicking was awful, people critics Slocombe for his kicking but Stone was terrible.

Did anyone else watch this match tonight? It was on a Welsh language channel, a really good game between two good teams and Wrexham won 2-1. The commentary was in Welsh so I couldn’t understand them apart from players names, they also mentioned Notts a few times, I’d love to know what they said,
