Weekend plans - Fri 20th - Sun 22nd
No Park Run this morning as it was cancelled due to flooding in fact they could probably have staged a Park Swim looking at the pictures I’ve seen, so I had a local walk instead, this afternoon I’ll be listening to the match and hoping for a win.

Discussing Notts County’s Form
Luke Williams said in his interview that we are still finding our feet in this division, playing teams that have former Championship and even Premiership players in them, he also said he had been keen to keep the team that gave us success in the National league a chance to perform in this league but going forward there would be casualties and we would lose some players and new ones would come in. To me this is the clearest indication yet that we can expect some new signings when the window allows. As Luke said we are still 2nd (at the time of writing) in this league so let’s not carried away with negative thoughts. Not that I’ve seen any negativity here but I do think some fans are not seeing the positive side of things especially after the Mansfield game.

New signing?
Anyone know anything about this?

The little known story of Wojtek the Bear, memorial in Sopot Poland
I’ve remembered where I saw it, on some obscure tv channel there was a programme called Weird World War and one of the programmes featured Wojtek. I found this video.

I’m sure I’ve read about this before or seen a tv programme, I can’t remember but it’s a fascinating story.

- ‘Fans Are the Heartbeat of the Club’: David McGoldrick Acknowledges Notts County Supporters
McGoldrick has a lot of experience he’s “been there done that” in almost every sphere of football, we will need to tap that experience in the coming games against top teams in the division, I’m confident David will impart his knowledge and experience to help us through.- Weekend plans - Fri 20th - Sun 22nd
I’m glad we decided not to go out, looking at Social Media there’s lots of flooding around us, thankfully we aren’t affected but I think our garden pond may be about to burst its banks, so there may be fish swimming round the garden, that’ll please the cat. @liampie safe travels tomorrow to you and all the other away fans. @yelobeli I hope the flooding doesn’t affect you too much. I hope @Chris and family got to Skeggy ok.- Prediction league 23/24 round 14 - Saturday 21 October

The Notts County Edition
@CliftonMagpie I reckon you ought to post the question on Sunday morning while @Fozzy is still in bed nursing a massive hangover after celebrating another magnificent Notts win.- Downtime and Maintenance Update
Only between me and @super_ram about who will be higher in the prediction league and Guess Who competitions.- Weekend plans - Fri 20th - Sun 22nd
Have a great time you two, hopefully the weather will improve but if not I know you'll make the most of it after all it doesn't rain in pubs does it @super_ram- Weekend plans - Fri 20th - Sun 22nd
I hope the weather is better in Sopot than it is here @Piethagoram we’ve got really heavy rain, safe journey and fingers crossed the game is on tomorrow.- Wordle

It’s so heart warming to see everyone flooding back. Welcome home everyone.- Weekend plans - Fri 20th - Sun 22nd
It’s the weekend. What has everyone got planned, are you off to the match, seeing relatives, chilling out, let us know. Today I won’t be doing much due to this awful weather so expect to see me camped on here. Tonight Mrs. T is doing one of her famous home made curries. “Which curry is she doing Tony” I hear you say. Well she’s cooking a superb Chicken Jalfrezi and I’ve got a nice bottle of Titanic Plum Porter to help wash it down. Not sure about Saturday and Sunday it depends on the weather I’ll update later. Whats everyone else doing/done this weekend?- Guess Who? The Notts County Edition
Whoop! whoop! Bring it on.- The Road to 5,000: Notts County’s Historic Football League Journey
Just my black humour @liampie the bucket will stay upright for many more years if I have anything to do with it. ????- The Road to 5,000: Notts County’s Historic Football League Journey
Wow! That’s a great piece of writing and must have taken a lot of research well done @DangerousSausage. I was around for the 2,000 game in 1952 but only six months old but I certainly remember the the 3,000 and 4,000 matches and if I don’t kick the bucket before Saturday I’ll still be here (fingers crossed), thank you for bring back all those memories- Luke Williams: Embracing Notts County’s Storied Past in the 5,000th EFL Match
5,000 games is an amazing achievement, I feel like I’ve been here for 4,500 of them at least. What a great gesture by the club to lay on free transport for the travelling supporters, we’ll done Notts. Who knows Luke Williams could become another Nottingham legend.- Wordle
Nearly forgot, been busy. Wordle 852 3/6* ⬜⬜⬜????⬜ ????⬜????⬜???? ???????????????????? Not bad though.- My lucky hat has to go!
@liampie yes the hat was definitely well worn by me, it looked new when I bought it although it was in a charity shop. I’d have been interested to hear about its history I don’t think “magpie” referred to a football team it must have been something else, anyway it’s in the bin now and resigned to history. - ‘Fans Are the Heartbeat of the Club’: David McGoldrick Acknowledges Notts County Supporters
