  1. I agree, I think it’s probably mainly scrap dealers there are also a lot of doors missing off those green telephone/cable boxes around our way exposing all the wires etc. We had a metal bed that we were giving to charity (British Heart Foundation) I put it out on the day it was going to be collected and a scrap man came and was going to cart it away despite the fact that it was just outside our front door! He had to open the gate and come down the drive, I swear blind he’d have taken it if we hadn’t seen him. I know folk leave stuff on the road for them but they shouldn’t enter your property.
  2. Mark Stallard talks a lot of sense, I agree to his emphatic “no” when asked should we change the style of play, he’s exactly right because as he says this style of play has brought success, the team just need to work on the defensive side of things on the training ground and I’m positive that Luke Williams will be aware of this and working hard with his team to put it right. There’s absolutely no need to panic.
  3. Wordle 835 2/6* ⬜????⬜????⬜ ???????????????????? GET IN!!
  4. Notts take on Swindon on Tuesday night. How many links can we find between the two clubs. I’ll start you off with probably the most obvious one Luke Williams. Who else can we find?
  5. Ipswich Town 2-0 Hull City Plymouth Argyle 1-1 Millwall (joker) Blackpool 1-0 Derby County - sorry @super_ram Bolton Wanderers 2-2 Stevenage Crewe Alexandra 1-0 Gillingham Morecambe 3-2 Accrington Stanley Altrincham 3-0 Aldershot Dagenham & Redbridge 0-1 York City
  6. @Chris I’m not keen on going to matches with large crowds either but I guess the fact that we are getting large crowds is good for the club so we shouldn’t complain. An executive box is an expensive way to watch a match and the atmosphere isn’t the same. I did sit near the vice presidents seats (I think that’s what they’re called) and I must admit I envied then their spacious padded seats with an excellent view as I was squashed between two very large gentlemen but the cost of buying one of those for a season is way more than I’d want to spend.
  7. This will be another tough test and obviously we need a reaction, they won’t have had much time to sort out the defensive problems from Saturday and no doubt Swindon will be well aware of how they can best test our fragile defence. It should make for an interesting match.
  8. Some good goals, Jodie’s was the pick of the bunch but defensively we had a nightmare game.
  9. Wordle 834 4/6* ????⬜⬜⬜???? ????⬜???????????? ????????⬜???????? ???????????????????? 4 getting better
  10. Let’s look on the bright side, we’re still top of the league!
  11. It sounded like a great match for a neutral but Luke Williams will be fuming that we’ve conceded 5 goals. Unbelievable that we’ve scored 4 goals away and lost.
  12. Wordle 833 5/6* ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜⬜????⬜⬜ ⬜????⬜⬜⬜ ⬜???????????????? ???????????????????? Another 5.
  13. It must be hard for Sam not being a first choice for some games but he works hard and when he gets his chance he doesn’t disappoint, he’d benefit from a run in the team as a starter but with so many good players in the squad it’s difficult.
  14. I don’t go to many away matches but I was at that one, what a match that was.
  15. Norwich City 1-0 Birmingham City QPR 2-1 Coventry City Port Vale 1-1 Bolton Wanderers Reading 2-2 Burton Albion (joker) Gillingham 2-0 Mansfield Town Salford City 1-1 Newport County Halifax Town 2-2 Eastleigh Rochdale 1-0 Southend United
  16. It’s the weekend again, I’m sure it’s eagerly awaited for all you workers or students, I know I always looked forward to it when I worked. What plans have you all got? Some will no doubt be travelling to see the Super Notts so safe travels and bring back the points. Tonight being Friday I will be enjoying Mrs. T’s famous curry, this time it’s Lamb and Spinach and I’ll wash it down with my first pint of the week. Tonight we are watching a film on Prime called The Lost Flowers of Alex Hart, which has been recommended to us. Tomorrow it’s Park Run day, then we are visiting a kitchen shop to finalise the plans for our revamped kitchen, in the afternoon I’ll be glued to Radio Nottingham. Whats everyone else up to?
  17. Yes but some are more of a shambles than others, I think it’s a shame when people say they aren’t interested in politics, these people have the power to change our lives and we have the chance to give them that power at election time.
  18. Wordle 832 5/6* ⬜⬜????⬜⬜ ⬜????????⬜???? ????⬜????⬜???? ????⬜???????????? ???????????????????? A bit better than the last two days
  19. As usual Luke Williams is very measured in what he says endeavouring to keep expectations in check and he is right to do so these are very early days the team needs to stay focussed on the job. Excellent interview.
  20. Very good @super_ram I see what you did there.
  21. Barring injuries I don’t see Williams changing much either, hopefully we can come away with maximum points again but if we get a draw I won’t be too disappointed, the trouble is Notts have set a very high bar and we expect them to win every match hopefully we can maintain our momentum.
  22. @Piethagoram I bet you didn’t dare wear your Notts shirt for a while.
  23. Mine is Notts County 3 Spurs 0. It was a League Cup third round tie in October 1994. Notts faced the mighty Spurs managed by World Cup winner Ossie Ardiles at Meadow Lane, with the likes of Juergen Klinsmann, Sol Campbell and Teddy Sheringham in their team Notts were given little chance. However with goals from Gary McSwegan (2) and Tony Agana Notts marched on to the fourth round and next morning Ossie Ardiles was sacked. I remember the second goal after McSwegan scored the players did a celebratory “Klinsmann dive” rubbing salt in the wound. Spurs had a man sent off but Notts were already 2-0 up by then. The teams on that night were as follows: Notts: Reece; Mills, Yates, Johnson (Murphy, 65), R Walker; Turner; Devlin, Butler, Legg; Agana, McSwegan (Matthews, 80). Substitutes not used: Cherry (gk). Tottenham: Thorstvedt; Austin, Campbell, Calderwood (Hazard, 45), Edinburgh; Popescu; Barmby, Dozzell, Dumitrescu; Sheringham, Klinsmann. Whats your most memorable match?
  24. Wordle 831 6/6* ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ ⬜????⬜⬜⬜ ????????⬜⬜⬜ ????????⬜⬜???? ????????????⬜???? ???????????????????? 6 again this is becoming a habit
  25. It doesn’t just look like a master stroke it definitely was one, if he left the club today he would still go down as one of our best ever managers, his win rate is phenomenal. Well done to the brothers for unearthing a real gem.
