  1. Yeah I definitely anticipate a sell out, some seats are taken out because of cameras but I anticipate around 16,000.
  2. Wordle 830 6/6* ⬜⬜????⬜⬜ ⬜????⬜⬜⬜ ????????⬜????⬜ ⬜⬜???????????? ⬜⬜???????????? ???????????????????? oh dear ☹️
  3. Saw this on East Midlands today, I’m almost tempted to vote Lib/Dems in the next election.
  4. On this coming Saturday Notts travel to Colchester, how many players, managers or coaches etc., have links with both clubs? Here’s my starter for 10 - Liam Chilvers played for Colchester between 2004 and 2006 and also for us between 2010 and 2012. How many more can we find.
  5. If you aren’t a season ticket holder and want a ticket for the Mansfield game I’d grab one now they are going fast. I got two online for me and grandson @George L and seats were disappearing as I looked online.
  6. I didn’t see the game because I was on holiday but I’m pleased to read that McGoldrick was an integral part of the win, I said when we signed him that he would be a very very good signing at it’s proving the case. If we can keep him fit and injury free I foresee lots of goals and assists from him but that’s not his only contribution he will be a massive influence in the dressing room with his knowledge of the game with his years of experience and after playing in the top flight.
  7. League table please @CliftonMagpie I like seeing my name at the top.
  8. There’s no doubt the atmosphere at Meadow Lane these days is electric of course this is partly down to the way the team play football which in turn is down to the manager and his staff who were appointed and are supported by our great owners. The fans also have their part to play they can literally help the team get that crucial win over the line in difficult games it’s an amalgamation of everyone pulling together to help achieve success, long may the good times continue.
  9. Another story about Jimmy is one read from the book Steak Diane Ross by David McVay, the story went something like this: The team had travelled to an away match and were having a meal in a cafe or hotel, the waitress asked if they had finished with the bottle of tomato sauce, Jimmy had just put some sauce on his dinner before he handed it back to the waitress he licked the surplus off the rim of the bottle. Apparently it was a bit of a ritual the players would nudge each other when they saw him picking up the sauce bottle and sit in anticipation of him licking the sauce off.
  10. My healthy eating and weight loss went out of the window on my 10 day holiday, I’ve put on 3lb although we did do some long walks so not all bad, I need to start losing weight again before our next holiday with the family in October half term. Hows everyone else doing?
  11. Wordle 829 3/6* ????⬜????⬜⬜ ????????⬜⬜⬜ ????????????????????
  12. That’s exactly right @Chris that’s just what I thought, I regret it now though.
  13. Isn’t it great to see headlines like this as Notts County supporters I’m still pinching myself to be honest, top of the league I keep thinking something is going to go wrong and spoil it all.
  14. I’m glad Darren Moore is back in management I thought he was treated poorly by Sheffield Wednesday but I wish he hadn’t replaced Warnock because he didn’t want to go so it’s a shame he didn’t go by his own choosing.
  15. I went to a Lifeline function with Mrs. T and Jimmy was in attendance, I pointed him out to my wife and told her he was the manager and I wish I had the courage to ask for his autograph but I was too shy so she said she’d ask him. He was really nice and a real gentleman, she asked him for his autograph and he said “ Aye of course, nae bother”. I really wished later that I hadn’t been too shy to speak to him. To my wife he was just a bloke but to me it would have been like approaching God, I was in awe of him.
  16. Welcome from me too @Middlesex Magpie it’s great to have you onboard the friendliest football community on the net.
  17. Welcome from me too @Niederbayern Pie you’ve joined a really friendly football community, we’d love to hear a little about you if you’d like to introduce yourself.
  18. Oh my goodness is that true? I hope they are ok. ☹️
  19. You’ve got to admit that at this level Deeney is still a great player even though he is nearing the end of his career, similar to McGoldrick for us, these players have played alongside the best players in the top division and have a wealth of experience to impart to lesser gifted players.
  20. Managers and coaches hate games like this and Williams is no exception, they would far rather see a 1-0 win than a 4-3 win but for the fans it is really exciting, I wish I’d been there to see it.
  21. I can’t imagine Sheff Utd fans will find it amusing they must be hurting after that mauling, I wonder if a Wednesday fan was involved. ????
  22. @Chris I’m so pleased to hear the players and manager took time to speak with you it’s great to hear. Today we went to Ryde for the last day of our holiday and it was a lovely day, we had a nice walk along the sea front with great views of the Solent and Portsmouth across the water. Back to reality tomorrow was we catch the ferry home and back to hospital appointments and tests for Mrs. T.
  23. I’m steadily moving up the table, look out boys and girls @Fan of Big Tone I’d coming to get ya.
