  1. I’m not sure what happened I don’t think it was the result of a tackle he just seemed to start hobbling, I really hope he’s back to full fitness soon, if Langstaff gets injured we are in trouble.
  2. Totally agree, I couldn’t believe it when they announced man of the match, don’t get me wrong McGoldrick’s goal was fantastic but Bostock’s performance was on another level. I swear his shoulders dropped when they announced MoM on the tannoy.
  3. Who in their right mind would be a football manager it’s not exactly a secure career is it?
  4. I saw him doing that as I looked over from the Pavis stand, I wondered what it was all about, it’s nice to see the finished painting.
  5. This was a great performance and deserved a bigger scoring margin. My man of the match was Bostock who I thought was faultless. We are looking very good at the moment long may it last.
  6. Great performance we could have been 3-0 up in 15 minutes and given a bit of luck the result could well have been 4 or 5 -0. My man of the match was Bostock who was absolutely faultless. One criticism would be the 5 substitutes I thought we lost our way a little even before Scott was injured. I would have kept one or two substitutes for later just in case. However we won in front of over 10,000 and are now 4th in the league, what’s not to like.
  7. Wordle 798 3/6* ⬜????⬜⬜???? ⬜????????????⬜ ????????????????????
  8. @Chris you need to find time for yourself and your family otherwise you’ll burn yourself out, you have a good team on here so delegate as much as you can and let others help.
  9. Oh come on @Chris you can’t compare Red Dwarf and Some Mothers Do Have ‘em.
  10. BBC2 are screening series 1 of Red Dwarf from 1988 tonight a must see for me, I recommend it if you’ve never seen it.
  11. It’s a bank holiday weekend so let’s hope for decent weather. What have you got planned? For me it’s Park Run tomorrow then Meadow Lane for the match. Sunday no plans as yet and Monday another of my famous bbq’s, just me and Mrs T because the family are away but we’ve got a chicken so I’ll spatchcock it and stick it on the barbie, weather permitting. What are you lot up to this weekend?
  12. Coventry City 1-1 Sunderland Millwall 1-2 Stoke City (joker) Exeter City 3-1 Reading Lincoln City 2-0 Blackpool Bradford City 1-1 Crewe Alexandra Walsall 0-1 Grimsby Town Boreham Wood 0-1 Oldham Athletic Ebbsfleet United 3-1 Kidderminster Harriers
  13. Wordle 797 3/6* ⬜????????⬜⬜ ????????⬜????⬜ ???????????????????? Pleased with that, could’ve been tricky.
  14. That made me laugh @RetroPie I think you are referring to Colin Fray, I have to turn the sound down if I accidentally get a snatch of his commentary, he sounds like a demented banshee when they score.
  15. Don’t forget I’m not quite as ancient as you @super_ram I can’t really remember the old silent movies except what I’ve seen since. I do remember a Norman Wisdom who oddly I did enjoy and Laurel and Hardy but I could never get on with the Frank Spencer character.
  16. Great answers everyone, any more?
  17. Wordle 796 4/6* ⬜????⬜⬜⬜ ????????⬜⬜???? ⬜???????????????? ????????????????????
  18. It’s good to catch up with the news from other clubs in our division in one concise article. Thank you @PON_News
  19. Kristian Dennis is certainly available, he scored last week in their 3-4 defeat to Salford, so I am hoping Notts stay strong defensively if not this could be another high scoring game both sides are strong in attack, it could be an exciting game I just hope Notts score more than they do. I also agree that they are in a false position given the strength of their squad. Home advantage is a big plus for us of course so let’s see if the crowd can get us over the line again.
  20. Oh dear poor Southend it never rains but what it pours, you’ve got to feel for their supporters.
  21. Next up Notts play Tranmere at Meadow Lane on 26th August. How many links can we find between the two clubs? The only one I could come up with is Zoumana Bakayogo who joined Notts from Tranmere in 2019. Over to you clever lot.
  22. I’m sorry to say I didn’t really like Some Mothers Do Have ‘Em, I’m not sure why I think it’s that kind of slap stick humour that doesn’t really appeal to me. However Fawlty Towers on the other hand I found hilarious.
  23. Welcome from me too @Sir Magpie come and join the discussions when you can.
  24. I haven’t got the foggiest who Hank Hill is but yes I do enjoy a nice BBQ in this country as you know you have to make the most of the weather, there’s a long time when we can’t bbq so we make the most of when we can. ???? It’s great to hear you’ve been away on vacation @AmericanPie it does you good to recharge batteries, I’d love to visit Florida one day, I’m not sure I’ll make it though but who knows.
  25. Hello @NorthPie it’s great to have you onboard.
