  1. https://x.com/official_ncfc/status/1693909081218490648?s=46&t=DL0in_6sl-QhVVVl-b7-xg The league have credited Jodie Jones with his goal for Notts against Grimsby, he’s now on two.
  2. Wordle 794 4/6* ⬜⬜⬜????⬜ ⬜⬜????????⬜ ????⬜???????????? ???????????????????? Back to average
  3. I must admit the vocal support around the ground is gradually getting better even where I sit in the Pavis stand the fans are beginning to be more vocal in their support which is really pleasing. The real test is if this can be maintained when the team hit a rough patch which it’s inevitable we will, if the supporters can clap, cheer and sing when things are not so good as they did at Sutton this will spur the team on, that’s what support is all about. You’ve only got to look across the river to realise how supporters can be the 12th man and carry the team across the line but of course it’s a two way thing, the team has to show they are giving everything which I know this squad is capable of.
  4. If only league positions were decided by seniority, Notts County would be top of the Premiership.
  5. Nice to see Nottingham girl Mary Earp win the Golden Glove. She’s had an exceptional tournament.
  6. Oh he was @NottsCountyKev believe me, he could leap like a salmon to head the ball into the net. Kids playing football in those days would say “put it on my Hateley” if they wanted to head the ball. He was my all time favourite player hence my username.
  7. Not a particularly good week for me but I am within striking distance of the top group, it’s a long season and I’m confident of winning. ???? I see @super_ram has caught up with me and we are both on 18 points but I should be above him on alphabetical order. ????
  8. Have you been on a desert island @liampie? They’ve talked about nothing else on the news, newspapers etc. etc.
  9. Wordle 793 2/6* ????????⬜⬜???? ???????????????????? Whoo hoo!
  10. Very disappointed that the ladies didn’t win the World Cup, I didn’t think they played to their best potential as they had in previous games possibly the occasion got to them but well done Spain, it’s clear that ladies football is here to stay and will only grow in popularity which is really good news for football fans.
  11. It’s lovely to see the fans enjoying themselves at the game, I particularly like to see pictures of youngsters enjoying supporting Notts it reminds me of when I was a small boy watching Notts, they are the grown up fans of the future and hopefully they will be supporters for many more years, once you are bitten by the Notts bug there’s no going back.
  12. Now he’s off the mark I expect him to score plenty this season, he’s signed a new contract so he’s settled and obviously happy to be with Notts. We are very lucky to have him, he’s a great player.
  13. Langstaff is off the mark and now watch him go. I wasn’t at the match but really enjoyed the commentary it sounded like a great game. I was really pleased for the travelling supporters that game certainly made up for the disappointment of the opening game.
  14. I don’t travel to away matches but enjoy listening to Radio Nottingham. After Charlie Slater I’d not been too impressed with his replacement until todays game, I thought Dave Bracegirdle was excellent although I missed Mark Stallard who was absent, Ian Richardson stood in. The young commentator who did the first games showed his inexperience but he’ll learn, whereas Dave Bracegirdle really was very assured and competent his interview technique for the post match interview with Luke Williams was really good he asked all the right questions whilst being respectful. What did other stay at home fans think?

  16. Yes I saw it on Facebook and it brought back some really great memories so I thought I’d share it here for those of my generation. @Chris your grandad sounds like a true Notts fan, he’d be proud of what you’ve done with this site.
  17. I vaguely remember him coming on loan I think, I don’t think he played many games though.
  18. I’m so pleased for all you travelling fans that sounded like you were enjoying every minute and came across on the radio very well. Can’t wait for the Tranmere game.
  19. NOTTS ARE BACK 3-0 JONES!! GET IN!
  20. GET IN LANGSTAFF AGAIN! 2-0
  21. The Notts crowd are really coming over well on the radio @chris give the a shout from me. Half time so far so good.
  22. Jones and McGoldrick get needless bookings, dissent and kicking the ball away. I hope they steer clear of trouble now we don’t want a red.
  23. I’m surprised Nemane is on the bench, I wonder what the thinking behind that is?
  24. A lot of you won’t have been born when this team played, one of my favourite Notts teams, what a great season it was.
